Faith from deeds

(revelation)

This is what the Holy Spirit says!

So, my people, I want to greatly warn you of your error, which will play a decisive role in the last times in your standing and salvation! About the fact that you are not true, and quite superficially understand this scripture:

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead.

(James 2:26)

For it is on the good deeds of charity that he who comes in his own name will sit! Not about works of mercy and not about virtues here, as such, but about works of faith! For the works of faith are something completely different from your virtues, people!

20 But do you want to know, you foolish man, that faith without works is dead? (James 2:20)

For your good deeds of mercy are only an application to the true deeds of faith. For faith alone, without works of faith, is not enough to walk the path of great victories with God!

19 You believe that God is one: you do well; and demons believe and tremble. 20 But do you want to know, you foolish man, that faith without works is dead? (James 2: 19-20)

By works of faith, patriarchs and individuals achieved miracles, for they believed and acted according to faith. For their faith was realized in what they expected, and in their confidence in the invisible!

33 who conquered kingdoms by faith, did righteousness, received promises, blocked the lips of lions, 34 extinguished the power of fire, avoided the edge of the sword, strengthened from weakness, were strong in war, drove away the regiments of strangers; 35 wives received their dead resurrected; (Heb. 11: 33-35)

So Abraham believed that God was able to revive Isaac, for He promised a future in him.

21 Was not our father Abraham justified by works, when he laid his son Isaac on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith worked together in his works, and by works faith was made perfect?

23 And the word of Scripture was fulfilled: "Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God." (James 2: 21-23)

Thus, Rahab the harlot, by works of faith, gained salvation not only for herself, but for her entire family:

25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works, receiving the spies and sending them away in another way? (James 2:25)

And many others, by works of faith, brought miracles from heaven because they believed and acted by faith. For without faith it is impossible to please God!

17 Likewise, faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.

18 But someone will say: "You have faith, but I have works": show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith from my works. (James 2: 17-18)

So, this is what you need, people of God, is to show your faith out of your works!

24 Do you see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only? (James 2:24)

Do you not know and do you not know that Satan chose world charity as a cover for his black evil? And with this false foundation of his virtues and false mercy, he deceives all nations! But you, my children, why do you so quickly deviate towards the good works of the devil and believe in his good? Don't you know that he was originally a crafty liar and a thief? Shouldn't you, My people, seek his true purpose where there is deceit, cunning, and deceit? For the foundation of his virtues, mercy and charity rests on great evil! And this is a network for the people to swallow up and destroy as many people of the earth as possible!

22 For false Christs and false prophets will rise and give signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (Mark 13:22)

For it is the demonic faith without works of faith that will destroy many of my people! Because to be tempted by mercy and virtues devilish and human! But if virtues do not come from the will of God, then they come from the devil!

Likewise, you, My people, often fall into the same snare and begin to build your foundation on your good deeds of mercy. Being not sent by Me - go and not asking My will - you do! So are you really faithful to Me if you choose yours and not Mine?

24 By faith Moses, when he was old, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, (Heb. 11:24)

So, beware, My people, lest the devil deceive you by what you think is good! For Satan is incapable of good and all his virtues have bases for evil!

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from above, from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change and not a shadow of change. (James 1:17)

17 But the wisdom that descends from above is, first, pure, then peaceful, modest, obedient, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and unhypocritical. (James 3:17)

Amen!

Scripture word used in this revelation:

27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's wrath, for he, as though seeing the One who was invisible, was strong.

28 By faith he fulfilled the Passover and the shedding of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch them.

29 By faith they crossed the Red Sea as by dry land, which the Egyptians having encroached on were drowned.

30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after seven days' circumambulation.

31 By faith Rahab the harlot, having received the spies in peace (and having led them in a different way), did not perish with the unbelievers.

32 And what else shall I say? There is not enough time for me to tell about Gideon, about Barak, about Samson and Jephtha, about David, Samuel and (other) prophets,

33 who conquered kingdoms by faith, did righteousness, received promises, blocked the mouth of lions,

34 extinguished the power of fire, avoided the edge of the sword, strengthened from weakness, were strong in war, drove away the regiments of strangers;

35 wives received their dead resurrected; others were tortured, not accepting liberation in order to receive a better resurrection;

36 Others have experienced reproach and beatings, as well as bondage and prison,

37 were stoned, sawn through, tortured, died by the sword, wandered in mantles and goat skins, enduring shortcomings, sorrows, bitterness;

38 those, whom the whole world was not worthy, wandered through the deserts and mountains, through caves and ravines of the earth.

39 And all these that were testified in faith did not receive what was promised,

40 because God provided something better for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us.

(Heb. 11: 27-40)

Faith without works is dead- a believer must prove his faith by deeds.

Words of the Holy Apostle James.

The expression became a Russian proverb and is indicated in the book "" (1853) (section - ""):

- "Without good deeds, faith is dead ( or: dumb) before God. "

Chapter 2 of the Epistle of the Apostle James says:

"James 2:14 What is the use, my brethren, if someone says that he has faith but has no works? Can this faith save him?"
James 2:15 If a brother or sister is naked and has no daily food,
James 2:16 and one of you will say to them: "Go in peace, warm yourself and eat", but will not give them what they need for the body: what is the use?
James 2:17 So also faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.
James 2:18 But someone will say: "you have faith, but I have works": show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith from my works.
James 2:19 You believe that God is one: you do well; and demons believe and tremble.
James 2:20 But do you want to know, you foolish person, that faith without works is dead?
James 2:21 Was not our father Abraham justified by works, when he laid his son Isaac on the altar?
James 2:22 Do you see that faith contributed to his works, and by works faith was perfected?
James 2:23 And the word of the Scripture was fulfilled: "Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness, and he was called a friend of God."
James 2:24 Do you see that a person is justified by works, and not by faith only?
James 2:25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, receiving the spies and sending them away in another way?

"- Yes, but faith without works is dead, - said Stepan Arkadyevich, remembering this phrase from the catechism, with one smile already defending his independence.

“Here it is, from the epistle of the Apostle James,” said Aleksey Alexandrovich, addressing Lydia Ivanovna with some reproach, apparently as a matter that they have already spoken about more than once. - How much harm did the misinterpretation of this passage! Nothing repels faith more than this interpretation. “I have no business, I cannot believe,” while this is not said anywhere. And the opposite is said.

- To work for God, by labors, fasting to save the soul, - Countess Lydia Ivanovna said with disgusting contempt, - these are wild concepts of our monks ... While this is not said anywhere. It's much simpler and easier, '' she added, looking at Oblonsky with that very encouraging smile with which she at court encouraged the young maids of honor, embarrassed by the new situation.

Yuri asks:"I have been receiving your mailing list for many years. I was confused in it by one thesis that the forgiveness of the Lord can only be earned by faith, regardless of good works. How can one understand then the ancient dictum that faith without works is dead? Or the answer of Jesus at the judgment of God: I I was hungry and you did not feed me, I was thirsty and you didn’t give me a drink? Explain this, please. Best regards, Yuri. "

Hello Yuri

As I understood, we are talking about the following thesis: "Sola fide is the doctrine that forgiveness can only be obtained by faith, regardless of good deeds and deeds. Protestants do not discount good deeds, but they deny their importance as a source or condition for the salvation of the soul, considering them inevitable fruits of faith and evidence of forgiveness." "

First, this is how Martin Luther formulated the idea of righteousness by faith, therefore, for a deeper understanding, it makes sense to turn to his works.

Second, what caused this wording? Luther was a priest who observed a strange picture - people who lived an unholy life (formally all were members of the Church in Medieval Europe) could receive "forgiveness of sins" on behalf of the "Church" for payment (purchase of indulgences). Also, a similar situation took place during the Crusades - the villagers and knights were promised forgiveness of sins (and wealth) if they went to reconquer Jerusalem. Today, a similar scheme works - people live as they want, then they build temples "for atonement for sins" and do not change their lives.

What was the idea behind this? For the fact that you do a "good" deed - God will forgive you for your bad deeds. We do not see such a picture in the Gospel.

1) Jesus forgave all people who turned to Him, regardless of their merits.

2) He focused on the faith in Him, which was shown by tax collectors, harlots, pagans ... And on the unbelief of those who formally fulfilled the requirements of God's Law - the Pharisees, scribes, members of the Sanhedrin.

Formally, the Pharisees were the "better people". But sinners repented because of faith and became "even better people." As, for example, the tax collector Zacchaeus decided not only to return all the debts and damage caused, but decided to cover it several times over to each victim.

Indeed, righteous deeds are indicators of our faith, as Jacob speaks of. But sometimes a person does formally beautiful deeds, pride, exaltation and other sins that are not so obvious remain in the depths of his heart.

This is a paradox. On the one hand, deeds are not enough, on the other hand, deeds are needed to confirm the faith. The solution is in the goal.

The goal is to grow in faith in Christ Jesus. It is Christ in us - He does the works. The goal is not to glorify yourself with good deeds, but to glorify God.

If the goal is to do more work to earn salvation (by compensating for sins), then this is a false goal that was at the heart of the pharisaism.

Blessings of God,
Victor

Today the Church reads the Epistle of the Apostle James 2 ch. 14-26 verses.

What is the use, my brethren, if someone says that he has faith but has no works? can this faith save him?

If a brother or sister is naked and has no daily food,

And one of you will tell them: “go in peace, warm yourself and eat”, but will not give them what they need for the body: what is the use?

Likewise, faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.

But someone will say: “you have faith, and I have works”: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith from my works.

You believe that God is one: you do well; and demons believe and tremble.

But do you want to know, you foolish person, that faith without works is dead?

Was not our father Abraham justified by works, when he laid his son Isaac on the altar?

Do you see that faith contributed to his works, and by works the faith was perfected?

And the word of Scripture was fulfilled: "Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness, and he was called a friend of God."

Do you see that a person is justified by works, and not by faith only?

Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot justified by her works, having received the spies and sent them away in another way?

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.

From this passage of Scripture, we must take the following. Faith that saves us leads to deeds and deeds of mercy to our neighbors.
But there are people who both believe and take part in mercy, but they themselves do not live according to the laws and commandments of Scripture. They sin and believe that for mercy and for the sincerity of faith in God, they will be saved. And here the Apostle James directly says that this kind of faith is not faith at all. Only righteous behavior is evidence of bad faith... This correct behavior should be, both in caring for your neighbor, and an example of your life to other people.

If we do not fulfill those laws that are written in Scripture and the Church itself, but say that we live, believe in God, do good deeds to our neighbors and do no harm, but at the same time we do not observe fasts, do not go to church, we do not pray at home and believe that we will be saved for our faith, then of course, the Apostle James says that then we do not have faith at all, because we do not believe the law and scripture, which says how a Christian should behave.

Of course, if a person talks about his deep faith in God and immediately sees the hungry, naked, sick and having everything in abundance, does not help these people, then the apostle again says that this is not faith, that the person has no faith. For whoever believes in God and the Scriptures has read how to deal with the hungry, the frozen and the sick. And there should be not only words and regrets, but deeds, feed, clothe, provide help.

If a person just says "I believe in God!" and by deeds of mercy and by the example of his life, the fulfillment of the commandments does not prove his faith, then such a faith, it is dead.

After all, Matthew Evangelist in chapter 7 also has these words: "

And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not fulfill them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand."(meaning without foundation, stone base).

We must not only listen to what the Holy Scripture tells us, but live according to it and fulfill it.

Sometimes we believe in God only because we are afraid of God, and we are afraid of God because we are sinners, we are afraid of the answer for our sins. But this is not yet an indicator of our faith. Faith should be based not only on fear, but also on love. As it is said, demons believe in God, they also fear God and tremble before God. So how does our faith in our sinful fear sometimes differ from demonic faith?

But when we do deeds of mercy and abstain from sins, be an example to other Christians in life, then we will already confirm our faith by deeds and life.

This is the kind of faith that the Lord requires of us.

(revelation)

This is what the Holy Spirit says!

Oh, when will you, who call yourself My people, stop artificially forging My Presence and be filled with your false rejoicing? When will you stop singing and dancing in your church buildings and go in my name to do good to people? When will you cease to be touched by the letter of My word in your buildings separated from the world, and will you carry the actions of My living word to the nations? For your faith now has no works that glorify My name!
20 But do you want to know, you foolish man, that faith without works is dead? (James 2:20)
You have closed My word in the bonds of your buildings and do not allow My living word to produce works of faith that testify to My omnipotence! Earlier, your authorities locked My word in bonds, imprisoning the bearers of My living word. But now you yourself hid behind the walls of your church buildings, and thus, bound My word in bonds, depriving it of its life-giving effect!
And what do you think that I do not continue to save people in this world without them passing through your religious churches? You are wrong! For I am the Savior of sinners, and I have never stopped saving people from their sins! And now I have many of those who have never passed through your church rituals and statutes, but they are My true children!
So, now in My field, as always, I work only myself and with me my small flock! The rest, who called themselves by My name, joined human organizations and forgot all My commands!
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them; and they follow me. (John 10:27)
So I ask you now, are you my sheep today, or do you now have a different owner? Who rules over you now, and through whom does your glory flow? What is your temple now? Is it a house of prayer, or a den of robbers with money changers and hucksters? Do you know that you can glorify My name only through Me!
13 Lord our God! other lords besides You ruled over us; but through you only we glorify your name. (Isa. 26:13)
Therefore, your vessels are now empty, and you have nothing to go to My field with to sow My seed! Therefore, you sit next to the distributors of every seed, and without examining the qualities of this seed, you fill your womb with it, while it is being distributed to you! And when they stop distributing it to you, go home and starve until the next distribution. And when you rush to a new distribution, you also bear a fee to those who distribute this dubious seed to you. So, in the cycle of this captivity, you are no longer able, not only to have works of faith, but also to distinguish between a dead seed, from a living one! And even if you stop filling your womb with false seed, you are no longer able to find those who will give you my true seed! For you plunged your soul into darkness and lost My light, in which only one can distinguish truth from falsehood!
12 Again Jesus spoke [to the people] and said to them: I am the light of the world; whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. (John 8:12)
Because of this, the soul of many of you groans in you and cries out for My truth, but you do not want to hear her pain! And in order not to hear the voice of your conscience and the voice of your soul, which sees the open hell before you, you excite yourself with chants, jubilation and dancing! You convince yourself and convince others that you feel My Presence among you, although I am not among you! The enemy plunges you into the illusion of deception, and you mistake ordinary human emotions for My Presence! Although it would be completely impossible for those who walk in My light, and who have provided their temple for My Presence! The blind man sat by the road and waited for him to feel My Presence, so that he could appeal to Me for the healing of his blindness. Those who walked in front made him shut up and did not disturb Me, just as now your leaders do not allow you to ask Me for the healing of your blindness.
39 Those walking in front made him silent; but he shouted even louder: Son of David! have mercy on me. (Luke 18:39)
However, the desire of that blind man to be healed of blindness was so great that I heard him to ask him what he really wanted. For many of you cry to Me about this and that, but do not know what they really need.
41 what do you want from me? He said: Lord! so that I can see. (Luke 18:41)
So, you must know what you want and you can address your request only to Me in order to receive true healing from your blindness! Many people passed by the blind people, but he did not ask them for healing, but waited for me to appear with My Presence to show him mercy!
39 You see now that it is I, I - and there is no God but Me: I kill and give life, I smite and I heal, and no one will deliver from my hand. (Deut. 32:39)
Why are you so unreasonable now, My people? From what do you seek healing from everyone who passes by, who lay their wicked hands on you, and give you what they have ... For it is not enough to pronounce My name, but you need to have Me in yourself, so that I can work through you! Peter had Me in him, so I could, according to his faith and by his word, act and heal the lame!
6 But Peter said, I have no silver and gold; but what I have, I give it to you: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk. (Acts 3: 6)
Most of these healers never knew Me, and even more so, did not let Me into their temple in order to give Me the right to act in their lives! Such live and are led by their lusts, greed and lust for power. Therefore, they can truly give you ONLY WHAT THEY HAVE THEIRSELF! And these are only the works of the flesh that are known for their wickedness:
19 The works of the flesh are known; they are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, magic, enmity, quarrels, envy, anger, strife, disagreements, (temptations), heresies, 21 hatred, murder, drunkenness, outrage, and the like. (Gal. 5: 19-21)
So, stop looking for Me in people, buildings and communities, but look for Me, like that blind man, by the roads I walk! For I do not sit in your buildings, but WALK among My people and work to save blind sinners! I am with those who are like Elijah, and I run with him in front of Ahab's chariot!
46 And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah. He girded around his loins and fled before Ahab as far as Jezreel. (1 Kings 18:46)
I am with those who are like Elisha, who longed for the double anointing and followed without retreating after Elijah! I also crucify myself upside down on the cross with Peter, and lay My head on the chopping block with Paul! For I am God, Living and Acting, and I do not sit idly when the time is so short! Because I live in the hearts of My children, I act in them and lead them wherever I want! And if you want to find Me and receive your sight, then hurry to the people with the deeds of your faith! Bring them My light, My love and My salvation, for you are called to be My lamps in this dark world!
34 Then the King will say to those on His right side: Come, blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me food; thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; 36 was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to me. (Matthew 25: 34-36)

41… He will also say to those on the left: Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was hungry, and you did not give Me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and did not receive me; I was naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick and in prison, and they did not visit me. (Matthew 25: 41-43)
Amen!
