Vladimir Vladimirovich himself is not too willing to talk about his gastronomic preferences: I eat what they give, he says. But the journalists still managed to find out something. It is also known that the head of state has very little free time; it is not always possible to even have lunch. In this case, Putin drinks kefir and eats fruit.

What products does Vladimir Putin prefer?

There is information that Putin loves fresh vegetables and fish most of all. On his table there are always fragrant tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs, pickled and salted mushrooms, pike perch and pike fish soup, main dishes of trout, salmon, fish pies. In the post, the president uses lean fish, cereals, legumes, nuts. From meat he prefers veal, lamb.

From alcohol: good expensive wines, cognac in small quantities. If vodka, then no more than 2 glasses. In an informal setting, he can drink a glass of beer, he fell in love with it back in Germany. Everyone who has had a chance to sit at the same table with Putin claims that he is extremely abstain from drinking alcohol.

What does the president have for breakfast?

The president, like many Russians, eats breakfast with porridge. But not oatmeal. Rice, millet, buckwheat are in favor. And also natural honey and cottage cheese. Drinks - black tea or herbal infusions, decoctions, freshly squeezed juices. He doesn't drink coffee at all.

For a long time, it was believed that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not have any special preferences in food, but the thesis of the president's "omnivorousness" was denied by his wife Lyudmila in the book "Vladimir Putin. The Road to Power."

Putin himself claims that he is simply trying to eat healthy food. "There are no special preferences," the president admitted earlier. "I love vegetables: tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce. In the morning, cereals, cottage cheese, honey."

“If there is a choice between meat and fish, I prefer fish, I like mutton from meat. In general, I am indifferent to sweets, not counting ice cream,” Putin said. “When I come somewhere, I enjoy trying the local cuisine. green tea. That, in fact, is all ... I usually do not have lunch, I do not have time. During the day I try to eat fruit, I drink kefir when it works out. And when it doesn’t work out, I prefer not to eat anything at all ... ".

Lyudmila Putina, on the other hand, assures that the president is very picky and can refuse lunch if he doesn't like the dish even a little. And if he likes, he never praises, because in private family life he adheres to two basic principles: "a woman must do all the housework" and "you cannot praise a woman so as not to spoil her."

However, at official events (according to their organizers), Putin really eats everything, little by little and quickly. Apparently, because it's still work.

A culinary misunderstanding: a dish called "Putin"

Russians do not know, and foreigners - especially Canadians - were very surprised when they first heard the name of the Russian leader: Putin. Their "Putin" is a fast food dish: fried potatoes (fries) covered with melted cheese and sauce.

It doesn't look very appetizing ("putin" in French-Canadian means "disorder"), appeared due to a misunderstanding (a hurrying client asked to pack potatoes and curd cheese "to go" in one package), but ... enjoys some fantastic popular love : songs and poems are dedicated to him, festivals and holidays are organized in his honor, cartoons are shot about him. There is a homely truth that the president does not devote too much to outsiders in the affairs of his stomach. As soon as Putin eats in public, these people immediately start doing business on Putin.

In an interview with the Ukrainian press, Ekaterina told the offensive: “I remember, I cooked a very good dinner: pate, meat, aspic ... this, criticized everything and sent the driver for cucumbers, tomatoes, sausage and bread. This is what they ate. I was terrified! "

Georgian President loves the cuisine of "orange" revolutions

When, after Georgia, the revolution happened in Ukraine, Mikheil Saakashvili, with joy, announced to the world that one of his favorite dishes was Kiev cutlets. But the best evidence of her husband's addictions is, of course, his wife Sandra Roelofs, who, being a citizen of the Netherlands, hastily mastered Georgian cuisine.

Shortly before she became the first lady, Sandra Roelofs learned how to cook khachapuri, ajapsandal and more. According to her, she knows that her husband loves, and tries to cook these particular dishes. "He is very fond of Megrelian cuisine, for example, elarji ...", - said the first lady of Georgia.

Sour-spicy soup "tom yam kun", famous in East Asia, is a dish with shrimps, spices, etc. "Lemongrass" from habit may seem too spicy, however, as Thai doctors assure, it has special healing properties.

Exotic appetizers were offered before the soup - golden fried tong tong shrimp, steamed pampushki with chicken, herbs and peanuts, smoked duck in curry sauce. This was followed by fried lobsters from the vicinity of Phuket in the Andaman Sea, crispy fried noodles, steak in wine sauce with hot chili seasoning, shrimp and tropical fish dishes with cucumber sauce.

Dessert included coconut ice cream, pumpkin pudding, tropical fruits, and traditional Thai egg yolk sweets.

July 1, 2003- During a two-day visit to Kaliningrad and the Baltic Fleet, Vladimir Putin preferred the fish cuisine of the little-known (until that time) tavern "By the Road" located on the Curonian Spit to the culinary delights of his personal chefs. Vladimir Putin, presidential envoy to the Northwestern Federal District Valentina Matviyenko and Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov ordered a classic dinner for the establishment: Tsarskaya fish soup, pies with red caviar, smoked eel, eel shashlik and pancakes with strawberries. According to the manager of the inn, the dinner cost just over 1,000 rubles per person.

June 24, 2003- during the visit of President Vladimir Putin to the UK, guests of Queen Elizabeth II were offered a menu at a banquet in Buckingham Palace in honor of the President of Russia, the main course of which was chicken in champagne garnished with fried zucchini, green peas and potatoes. In addition, the royal chef prepared a salmon medallion with whipped cream sauce, a Loire velute truffle, and a cherry soufflé.

The wine list also looked very attractive to connoisseurs: along with the brilliant white Burgundy Chassagne-Montrachet, the guests were offered selected red Bordeaux wines - one of the best Bordeaux wines Chateau Leoville in 1996 and aged Saint Julien 1985. The 1990 Louis Raederer vintage champagne was an excellent addition to the menu.

This champagne house is known for having the longest ties with Russia - since the 19th century - and, moreover, even has a two-headed Russian eagle on its label.

The press found out the culinary preferences of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, as well as what he liked so much about the St. Petersburg restaurant "Podvorie", where a fire recently occurred. According to Svobodnaya Pressa, Putin began going to this establishment as soon as his income increased after taking office as vice-governor of St. Petersburg. As a result, over the years of eating at the "Podvorie", the menu even included "Vladimir Putin's Lunch" - a set of dishes that he ordered from time to time.

The prime minister’s habitual diet, judging by his “dinner,” is the tsar's ear, “Frying pan” (meat platter from the chef: langette, sausage, escalope and homemade cutlet), beef with spicy garlic-sour cream sauce, hot smoked sturgeon with lemon and butter and desserts. Such a "Putin's Lunch" of five courses, excluding alcohol, costs 2.6 thousand rubles.

If we compare the prime minister's lunch with an average business lunch in Moscow restaurants, where prices are generally higher than in St. Petersburg, then it costs 10 times more. An average business lunch in Moscow costs 259 rubles, and the average cost of lunch in cafes and restaurants in the capital is 400 rubles, which is almost 7 times cheaper than "Vladimir Putin's Lunch".

The publication also reminds that in 2003 Western media described Putin's daily routine and paid attention to his food and alcohol preferences. "The windows of Putin's office, located in the northwestern part of the building on the third floor, overlook Red Square. The room looks austere and impersonal, in some ways even old-fashioned: an outdated TV set, several dozen bulky telephones that directly connect the president with his Kremlin offices. assistants and other high-ranking officials.

His private dining room is also located on the third floor; it has a wine cellar with a collection of Spanish red wines - the president is particularly fond of them. With snacks (delicious pickles, with which a traditional Russian lunch begins), Putin likes to drink a couple of glasses of vodka, and ends the meal with cognac from Dagestan, "Svobodnaya Press quotes.

Earlier, the wife of the prime minister, Lyudmila Putin, revealed several culinary secrets of the head of government and the former president. According to her, Vladimir Vladimirovich is very picky and can refuse lunch if he does not like the dish even a little. And if he likes, he never praises, because in private family life he adheres to two basic principles: "a woman must do all the housework" and "you cannot praise a woman so as not to spoil her."

Putin himself claims that he is omnivorous and ready to try new dishes. As part of official events, he really eats everything, but little by little.

Medvedev prefers European cuisine

In addition, the Svobodnaya Pressa publication notes the differences in the diet of the prime minister and the president. If Putin prefers Russian or Caucasian cuisine, then President Dmitry Medvedev prefers French. He ordered the famous culinary specialist Jerome Rigaud from France to be his personal chef.

Rigo said that "President Medvedev is very fond of fish and seafood. For example, lobster salad. He also loves exotic dishes, sweet and salty." One of Rigo's apprentices specializes in the president's favorite dish, stuffed pike.

Kremlin chef Anatoly Galkin also gave interviews about what kind of food the president and prime minister prefer. According to Galkin, who holds the post of brand chief of the Russian Presidential Property Management Department, Medvedev and Putin are very careful about themselves and eat a lot of vegetables, fruits and greens: "Less fatty foods. A lot of very separate food."

At official receptions, the first persons prefer a special cocktail consisting of a large amount of ice, a drop of lemon juice, mint, a drop of syrup and 50 grams of champagne. Of the alcoholic beverages, the most popular among the head of state and the prime minister are white and red wine, which distinguishes them from the former inhabitants of the Kremlin, who preferred stronger alcohol, writes Vestnik Millionaire.

What is fed in the Kremlin canteen

In October last year, the Presidential Property Management Department announced a competition for the right to provide catering services for employees of the Presidential Administration, the Presidential Administration and the Government Office in 2011, as well as servicing state receptions and protocol events "with the participation of senior officials." From this tender it became known what it is supposed to feed the top officials of the state and high officials.

Thus, pike perch occupies a special place in the lunch menu for employees of the presidential administration, managers and government apparatus. In different menu options, officials are offered "Swedish pike perch", "poached pike perch with herbs" and "poached pike perch in Polish sauce". For the first time, civil servants can choose between a hodgepodge of meat and a hodgepodge with salmon, or order a mushroom soup.

In the dessert, preference is given to dishes from lingonberry and dried apricots: a pie with dried apricots, a pie with lingonberries, dried apricot jelly, a drink made from lingonberries. There is even a certain "dried apricot sambuk with apricot sauce", wrote "Gazeta.ru".

The menu for protocol events is even more diverse. During the receptions, officials will be able to enjoy cold venison with juniper berries and lingonberry sauce, light squid and octopus salad with aromatic caper sauce, dry-cured Italian smoked meats, and pheasant galantine with wild blackberries. Lovers of exotic will be offered "roe deer medallions with slices of honey apples and berry sauce". We have not forgotten about Russian cuisine either. For a hot meal, "ruddy kulebyaka with trout, seafood and caviar sauce" is offered, there will also be traditional Russian pickles.

It is noteworthy that the food for Putin's employees is the most expensive. If a year the employees of the presidential administration who eat in the canteen receive 10 thousand rubles a year, employees of the managerial department - 3.5 thousand rubles each, then officials from the government apparatus - more than 18 thousand rubles. This is money that goes directly to cooking.

Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted that he loves rice porridge and prefers tea from hot drinks. The head of state answered questions from journalists during the ONF media forum in St. Petersburg. The journalists asked the president a question: what he likes more - tea or coffee. Putin answered: tea. And he told about his favorite food. "Porridge! This is rice, buckwheat, but I don't eat oatmeal. Oh, and more millet, ”the president admitted.

Little is known about what President Putin eats, but after digging around on the Internet and discarding all the "husk", you can learn a little about the president's favorite dishes.

Vladimir Putin about food. Direct speech

“I eat, in general, everything that they give. Honestly, I don't have much time for food ... I love vegetables: tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce. In the morning - porridge, cottage cheese, honey. If there is a choice between meat and fish, I will prefer fish, from meat I like lamb. In general, he is indifferent to sweets, not counting ice cream. I drink only green tea. "

« When I come somewhere, I enjoy trying the local cuisine. I got used to green tea for a long time. That, in fact, is all ... I usually do not have dinner, I do not have time. During the day I try to eat fruit, I drink kefir when I can. And when it doesn't work out, I prefer not to eat anything at all."- Putin said.

In the president's refrigerator

In 2012, the Russian leader had breakfast with NTV journalists. It turned out that the Russian president had eaten porridge and cottage cheese with honey in the morning, washed down with raw quail eggs.

In Putin's kitchen there is an ordinary refrigerator, inside there is a usual set of products: milk, kefir, a box of juice and ketchup for the president. Vadim Takmenev, the host of the Central Television program on NTV, did not find tubes with top-secret food.

In addition, Putin drinks a cocktail made according to his own recipe. Among the ingredients are beets and horseradish.

Working days of the president

On his business trips, the president likes to try local dishes, dines in public catering establishments. In 2003, Vladimir Putin dined with machine operators in the open air in the village of Risoupny (Krasnodar Territory). The farm managers and machine operators offered the president to taste the Kuban borscht and especially recommended the local bacon and tomatoes, but what exactly the president preferred then remained a mystery.

During a two-day visit to Kaliningrad and the Baltic Fleet, Vladimir Putin preferred the fish cuisine of the little-known (until that time) tavern "By the Road" located on the Curonian Spit to the culinary delights of his personal chefs. They ordered: "Tsarskaya" fish soup, pies with red caviar, smoked eel, eel shashlik and pancakes with strawberries. According to the manager of the inn, the dinner cost just over 1,000 rubles per person.

In 2008, during a visit to Tatarstan, I ordered salad, chicken noodle soup, beef with rice and a pie in the dining room of the special economic zone "Alabuga".

In Petrozavodsk, Putin said that he liked Karelian gates (small pies made of rye dough). He also noted the taste of Ossetian pies, chak-chak and Tatar belyasha.

In 2010, the Kremlin chef Anatoly Galkin said that Vladimir Putin prefers wine or beer from alcohol.

A culinary misunderstanding: a dish called "Putin"

As soon as Putin eats in public, these people immediately start doing business on Putin.
