Today, for Minecraft, there are many interesting add-ons that can diversify the gameplay. At the same time, most of them have interesting functionality. And even those who have not previously used add-ons will definitely pay attention to them. One such add-on is Sync. It will bring the ability to clone into your game. You will be able to create exact copies of items, resources and even animals. But, about the main feature a little lower. You will definitely like it. In the meantime, we advise you to read this review to the end and decide whether you need such an add-on in the game or not.

Please note that this one is available for the most popular versions of the game (in the header). And if you use any other, then, unfortunately, you will not be able to use the unique content of this mod. Therefore, we advise you to check which version of the game you are playing on before downloading. Indeed, otherwise, if they are not identical, you will simply lose your time downloading and installing. Good game!

The main feature of the Sync mod

For the most part, Sync is designed for singleplayer. But it can also be found on some servers. Its main feature is the ability to clone itself. The most interesting thing is that the cloned character will have exactly the same items, inventory and appearance as yours before the start of this process. And then you can move your consciousness into a cloned body and travel as a completely different character.

This opportunity is unique in its kind, because it involves using it in an almost limitless way. So if you have a good imagination, then you can easily find a good use for it. You just need to try.

Along with this, many more interesting and, most importantly, useful recipes, items and other things will appear in the game. Minecraft, under the influence of Sync, will become more convenient and attractive. You can continue to enjoy the game, but it will no longer bother you. So feel free to download and enjoy. To install this mod, you will need a few minutes and a small guide, which is a little lower. Good game!

Installing the Sync mod

After, find "mods" in the root of the game;

Move the downloaded archive there;

Restart the game and enjoy the new features. Good luck!

What is Sync Mod?

Adds the ability to create clones which you can switch into using an empty Shell storage container.

They work between the overworld and the nether but currently you are not able to move clones into or out of the End.

Despite being based off Sync, the mod idea came from Character Switching in GTA V.

Sync Mod Usages:

  • This mod provides clones, or as we like to call it, "shells". These shells are basically a new individual, with their own inventory, experience level, and even gamemode.
  • However, what they lack, is a mind to control them. That's where the player comes in. Each shell is biometrically tied to the player who's sample is used to create it, and will allow the player to “sync” their mind to the other shell, essentially creating multiple player instances.
  • Place a shell constructor down and right click it to provide a sample (warning, this hurts!). The shell constructor cannot work without power, so put a treadmill down next to it and lure a Pig or a Wolf to the center of the treadmill to generate Piggawatts. A lead will help out out with this (you will get it back). The shell constructor will begin building a shell.
  • Once the shell is constructed, you need to place down a shell storage unit and supply redstone power to it. The indicator will switch to green and you can walk into the storage unit to activate it. You will see a radial menu pop up with the list of available shells and their positions. Select the shell in the constructor (labelled with the “Done” indicator) and watch as you are synced into the new shell.
  • Shell syncing works cross dimensional too! Get to the nether and back through a shell! However, you cannot enter or leave shells in The End due to…. technical difficulties.
  • By default, shells provide an "extra life" to the player. When the shell you are using dies, you will immediately resync to the nearest shell available. You can mark a preference shell by right clicking a storage unit with a bed, labeling it as a home storage unit. You can also name storage units with a name tag. This “extra life” feature works in Hardcore mode, so if you have an active backup shell you will not be forced to abandon a hardcore world, but instead resync to another shell.
  • This version is not yet updated for minecraft 1.8

Sync Mod 1.12.2/1.10.2 allows you to create a clone of yourself and change between bodies. This is extremely useful because you can keep different inventories on each clone, and if you die you will be transported to another clone instead of dying. The clones can also be used for teleporting and works between the Overworld and Nether.

Sync Mod for Minecraft . Cloning is a considered as a old news but it is somehow new to Minecraft world. This mod is bringing the both medical science and technology into totally different environment. Therefore, it will allow a player to generate its own clone into the game.

Basically this mod is developed to save the death of the players through introducing a clone of the current player. At first you will have to drop a sample of your DNA to create a clone. Moreover it will require a few items such as a shell constructor where a clone will develop. Shell storage is a part where a clone will spawn. In addition to that you will require a treadmill on which a pig will run to create the clone. In the end you will need a bed where a player will spawn.

Sync Mod Screenshots:

Although the mod implements synchronization features, the main idea is based on the ability to switch between characters in GTA V.

Management:

  • This mod adds clones to the game, or, as they are called here, "shells". They are separate characters with their own inventory, experience level, and even game mode.

  • However, what they do not have is their own will, but there are players for this. Each shell is biometrically linked to the player from whose DNA it was created. The player gains the ability to "synchronize" their consciousness with this shell, allowing them to have many separate copies of themselves.

  • Place the shells and right click on it to insert your DNA. The constructor requires energy to work, so place a treadmill next to it and lure a pig or a wolf to it to generate pigs (the lasso will help you with this). After that, the shell constructor will start its work.

  • Once the shell is ready, place the storage chamber on the ground and conduct a redstone signal to it. The camera indicator will turn green and you can activate it by going inside. You will see a circular menu with a list of available shells and their coordinates. Select the shell located in the constructor and admire the effect of starting the synchronization.

  • Synchronization is also possible between measurements! You can get to the Nether and back with a shell! However, the use of the shell located in the End is not possible due to ... technical problems.

  • By default, shells grant the player a "bonus life". That is, if the shell dies, you will be transferred to another available shell nearby. You can pre-set your preferred skin by simply clicking on its storage room with the bed. You can also name the cameras using a tag. The "bonus life" feature also works in hardcore mode, so having a spare skin will allow you to stay in your world longer.
