The main task of schools, gymnasiums and lyceums is the comprehensive development of students and providing gifted children with the opportunity to study various subjects in depth. Taking part in various student Olympiads, children can not only demonstrate their knowledge and gain invaluable experience, but also secure a place in one of the best universities in the country.

Among the numerous competitions for gifted youth, the Our Heritage Olympiad, which will be held for the 15th time in the 2018-2019 academic year, deserves special attention.

General information about the Olympiad

The Open All-Russian Intellectual Olympiad "Our Heritage" is a successful project developed by the staff of the Orthodox St. Tikhon Humanitarian University in order to improve the quality of students' knowledge in the field of national history and culture.

Students in grades 1-11 can take part in the competition. Naturally, tasks of the appropriate level of complexity are offered for different age groups.

Every year, the organizers offer schoolchildren new exciting topics for in-depth study of the history and culture of their native country. So, in the 2017-2018 academic year, these were: for grades 1-7 - "Library", for grades 8-11 - "Russia from 1868 to 1918". The following topics are proposed for 2018-2019:

  1. "Volga region" (history of cities, sights, monuments, etc.);
  2. "Folk crafts and crafts" (covers all regions of the Russian Federation).

The Olympiad includes 4 main types of tasks:

  1. tests;
  2. crossword;
  3. logical tasks;
  4. brain ring (team tour).

On the way to the top, participants will have to go through 4 face-to-face rounds:

  • school;
  • municipal;
  • regional;
  • final (final).

As a Level III Olympiad, the competition provides winners with benefits for admission to the best Universities in Russia. The degree of weight of such a diploma is determined by the university, depending on the specialty.

Pupils of schools that have officially submitted an application on the ovio.pravolimp.ru website, as well as preschoolers and students, will be able to become participants in the 15th Olympiad "Our Heritage 2018-2019". It is worth noting that everyone will be able to try their hand and demonstrate a high level of knowledge in the field of Russian history, regardless of their citizenship of the Russian Federation.

We draw attention to the fact that regional (school) organizers register students for the city round, and the participant must independently submit an application for the final round, attaching the relevant documents to it!

Innovations 2018-2019 academic year

Since the competition is very popular and the number of participants is growing every year, the management is constantly working on its development, developing new interesting tasks and introducing interesting ideas.

In 2018-2019, the following innovations are planned in the Olympiad "Our Heritage":

  1. Dividing the tasks of the final stage into 6 blocks (now separately for students in grades 5-6 and 7-8).
  2. Creation of the parent committee of the Olympiad (innovation at the stage of open discussion).
  3. Opportunity for parents to participate in the final rounds on a volunteer basis.

The innovations adopted last year, such as gifts from participants for other teams and the involvement of schoolchildren in charity events, will also remain relevant in the new season.

Among the various additional opportunities for assessing the knowledge of schoolchildren, olympiads should be singled out. They are held annually, and their winners get the opportunity to enter the desired universities due to certain privileges. What is it about? For example, about the Olympiad "Our Heritage". Full name _________________________________ Class___________________

All human wisdom is stored in books, and books are stored in libraries. "Biblion" in Greek means "book", and the library is a book depository. Libraries are different: personal and state, educational and scientific, school and city. There are special libraries devoted to some branch of knowledge: historical, medical, polytechnical, pedagogical, agricultural.

The first public library in Russia (that is, one where anyone could come) was the Public Library founded in 1795 and opened to readers in 1814 (now called the Russian National Library) in St. Petersburg. It was allowed to visit "all decently dressed citizens" three days a week from
9 am until sunset.

Today, this library contains about 3 million books.
Since 1811, with the publication of each new book, one copy is sent to the library and it is called the "obligatory copy". More than 100 countries of the world receive books in this library.

Another wonderful library is located in Moscow. This is the Russian State Library. It is the main library of our country, the books in it are almost
40 million. Ancient manuscripts are also kept here. There are books taller than a meter. There is - the size of a postage stamp. There is the longest book - the Chinese dictionary, and the thickest - the English dictionary of 8,000 pages. This library also contains a primer, according to which Tsarevich Alexei, the son of Peter I, learned to read and write.

Every day, the main library of the country receives one and a half thousand new books. Several hundred librarians put them on the shelves, and the total length of the shelves is 300 kilometers (about half the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg!).

It is difficult to find the right book in such a library - after all, it will take 10 years just to sort through all the books. But if you ask for the book you need, you will definitely get it. And there is no secret in this - it's just that each book has its own - very accurate! - address.

The text is taken from the site "At the Desk" (http://xn----7sbbzn3afjs.xn--p1ai/publ/poznaem_mir_vmeste/detjam_o_kulture/kakie_byvajut_biblioteki/97-1-0-5151)

3. Fill in the table (2 points for correct filling. Words must be in the correct case and written without errors):

3.1. The name of the star mentioned in the article

3.2. Write the name and patronymic of the person whose primer is in the main library of the country

1. Make words from the letters of the word
