Bon appetit!

Hello friends! It is with great pleasure that I will teach you today how to prepare a recipe for an impeccable delicacy of its kind. Melting Snow cookies impress with a truly deep taste worthy of their name. The first emotion that takes over you after tasting cookies, like the explosion of a confectionery bomb filled with sweet aromas, instantly quenches your thirst for new culinary discoveries. When you feel how a rich pastry melts in your mouth, you simply lose your self-control and even a person who is stingy with emotions will not be able to resist making the most flattering statements about the cookies. All this awaits you too!

The cookies melt like a snowflake, but the dough is just like fluff.

Having quickly familiarized yourself with the ingredients of the recipe, one fundamental difference from the rest immediately catches your eye. The cookies are prepared without using eggs; instead of sugar, powder is placed in the dough and no baking powder is used. This makes the cookies tender and makes you feel as if they are melting like snow, warmed by the warmth of your body. By the way, does anyone have any real idea about this feeling? I think many people, at least once in their lives (this usually happens in childhood), have tasted freshly fallen snowflakes or licked icicles. Well, something similar awaits you - only much tastier and more enjoyable. Let's now take a step-by-step look at how to prepare this confectionery miracle.

  • 3.5 tbsp. flour;
  • 250 gr. butter;
  • 0.5 tbsp. powdered sugar;
  • 10 gr. vanilla sugar;
  • 1/3 tbsp. vegetable oil (refined);
  • 4 tbsp. potato starch.

Step by step recipe

Place the melted butter in a bowl, add powdered sugar and vanilla.

I add vegetable oil.

I will need a mixer to beat the ingredients. The creamy mixture should turn out “fluffy” and homogeneous as in my photo.

Then I add starch and mix the dough with a mixer again.

I add a glass of flour, turn on the mixer and again achieve a homogeneous structure from the mixture.

Now the dough is ready to put it on the table. The third glass of flour has already taken its place on the board. I put the dough into it and knead it with my hands. It is so airy and light that achieving uniformity is not difficult.

But this is still not the product that should be obtained in the end. Additionally, I mix in another half glass of flour and begin to form the cookies.

Shape, bake, decorate with snow-white powder

I divide the dough into three equal parts, each of which I roll into a sausage.

I cut the workpiece diagonally with a knife. The thickness of the pieces is 3-4 centimeters.

I cover a baking sheet with parchment and place the cookies on it.

I bake the cookies in the oven at 180C for 25 minutes until browned. In general, baking time depends on your oven. So don't leave the cookies unattended for too long.

I apply powdered sugar onto the still hot cookies.

If you think that it will melt while baking, then you are deeply mistaken. As you can see in the photo, for some unknown reason this does not happen. Apparently because of the snowy name. You have to conform - that's a joke.

I'll tell you one thing, until the day I first tried cookies, I didn't even think that they could be so crumbly - this! So be prepared for this turn of events.

Cookies are designed to captivate us with taste, from the first bite to the last crumb. And we even enjoy licking the powder with our tongue, from our own palm dusted with “snow”.

Bon appetit!
