№ 2016 / 21, 18.06.2015

Your Holiness, a meeting with the Pope, prepared in secret not only from the laity, but also from the clergy of all ranks, the so-called. The “Havana Declaration”, the documents for the “Pan-Orthodox Council” published by the Patriarchate, imbued with the heresy of ecumenism, caused protests and a split in our church environment, which is intensifying.

The theologically educated masses of the laity, the righteous clergy who embarked on the path of confession, an entire diocese headed by a bishop, hierarchs of foreign churches, Athos monasteries, Cossack communities, public organizations of the laity - the entire church intelligentsia stood up for the defense of the Orthodox Church - the only keeper of the truth transmitted her from the apostles.

The scale of the protests eventually forced the patriarchate to somehow respond. And what do we see? The patriarchate did not choose the path of discussions and finding consensus, did not announce the plans of the Local Council, or at least to start a round table, where all parties to the conflict would try to save the church from a split, but embarked on the path of repression of the dissenting clergy to intimidate the rest and ignore the protests of the laity.

What kind of epithets do not arrogantly reward us Illarion, Legoyda and the clergymen holding their nose to the wind are both “outcasts”, “screamers” or, as in the statement of the patriarchy, “Pharisees” and grief “zealots of Orthodoxy”.

(I will try to explain below the underlying reason for the arrogance of some of the clergy towards the laity,
characteristic of post-Soviet times.)

Who are these “marginals”, “Pharisees”, grief “zealots of Orthodoxy”?

Back when your odious mentor Metropolitan Nicodemus , then still a small stratum of the church intelligentsia, who grew up mainly on "samizdat" spiritual literature, strongly condemned his ecumenical experiments and excessive "warm" relations with Catholics, especially those of the Jesuit persuasion. After his death, which I will return to, the Vatican radio reported that he was also a secret Catholic cardinal. I don't know if this is true, but his style of communication with Catholics did not contradict this report. This position of the then church intelligentsia (the patriarchate had not yet thought of calling them “Pharisees” and grief “zealots of Orthodoxy”) contributed to the election of the patriarch Pimena, and not Nicodemus, who had more regalia. Over the past three decades, a huge amount of first-class spiritual literature, including patristic literature, has arrived among the growing number of church people (experienced elders, as you know, advised to turn to the holy fathers in the absence of mentors). This has borne fruit.

A new church intelligentsia, incomparable to the previous one in terms of numbers and organization, has formed, which has created its own associations, mass media, replicating its videos, etc., and most importantly - free in its assessments from the inert church bureaucracy, which prohibits everything and everyone. (If John Chrysostom lived in our time, then he would have been immediately excommunicated for his work “Six Words on the Priesthood.” blood union - union).

What are the arguments of the protesters? One and exhaustive - the teaching of the holy fathers of the church. Let me remind you of just one quote from the works St. Ignatia Bryanchaninova, who devoted himself to the work of summarizing the patristic writings: « Papism is the name of the heresy that embraced the West, from which various Protestant teachings originated, like branches from a tree. Papism assigns the properties of Christ to the Pope and thereby rejects Christ. Some Western writers have made this renunciation almost explicit, saying that it is much less a sin to renounce Christ than to renounce the pope. The pope is the idol of the papists, he is their god. Because of this terrible delusion, the grace of God departed from the papists, they are devoted to themselves and to Satan - the inventor and father of all heresies, among others, papism. In this state of darkness, they distorted some dogmas and sacraments, and deprived the divine liturgy of the essential, throwing out of it the invocation of the Holy Spirit and the blessing of the offered bread and wine, in which they are changed into the Body and Blood of Christ.<…>No heresy so openly and impudently expresses its exorbitant pride, cruel contempttowards people and hatred towards them».

In the response of the patriarchate to the protests, there is not a single serious argument, for example: “Mark of Ephesus (who is brazenly quoted by the defenders of Orthodoxy) believed in the possibility of restoring the lost unity (with the Catholics) on the basis of the truth of the Orthodox faith.” But there is a direct statement M. Ephesus about Catholics: We alienated the Latins from ourselves for no other reason than that they are heretics. Therefore, it is completely wrong to associate with them.».

Since the time of St. I.Bryanchaninov nothing has changed. The explanation of the patriarchate that the documents for the council do not contain the heresy of ecumenism, but the missionary ideas of converting Catholics and Protestants to Orthodoxy, is simply not serious. How many years have we been in the World Council of Churches, and the result is "0".

In the 90s, my wife and I, among the spiritual children of the God-bearing old woman, schema nun, witnessed the power of her prayer and spiritual gifts - now books have been written about her. One day mother said: “How I want Patriarch Alexei II lived longer, otherwise Kirill might come after him. He is an admirer of the papacy and will bring much trouble to our church. (In the same years, matushka was often visited in the neighborhood by the now bishop O. Tikhon Shevkunov .)

And so, with your arrival, our church structure began to be energetically rebuilt according to the Catholic model. Documents imbued with the heresy of ecumenism began to be adopted at bishops' councils. We saw a massive retreat of the episcopate from the teachings of the holy fathers of the church, unanimously voting for everything that comes down from above, including the ill-fated "Havana Declaration". Under you, the statements of the holy fathers about Catholics began to be hushed up in every possible way, and in 2011 Metropolitan Hilarion, that twilight perverter of the patristic heritage, even issued a Fatwa prohibiting publicly calling Catholics heretics! Knowing you well O. Vsevolod Chaplin claims that you are taking away more and more individual power - is it really not a papal model of power that you have planned to establish in our country?

And here is what the hundred-year-old elder, archimandrite, who died at the beginning of the 21st century, told to whom God revealed the future back in the seventies of the last century, and everything comes true to the smallest detail (a book about him was published by the late priest O. Alexander Krasnov with the blessing of the three Pochaev hermits, is one of the greatest spiritual works of the twentieth century, recognized by the people, is prohibited): « Thousands of Catholic destroyers of Orthodoxy will be sent into the church itself, among the clergy. With their seeming piety, their spirit is different, alien, and the people will leave their temples. They will stand restored and built, but empty. Where the flame of true holiness and commitment to the spirit of paternal faith will shine nowhere. But whoever wants will find<…>and the righteous clergy will be persecuted and oppressed».

And what do we see now? In March of this year. a certain O. Leonid from the church of St. Pope Clement, member of your delegation to Havana. So, he praised Catholics and blasphemed Orthodoxy so much that a familiar parishioner did not sleep all night (although this “Catholic destroyer of Orthodoxy” received a fitting rebuff from the caller, who explained to him that he was in “charm”, and also called the high hierarch, which is located there). Repressions against the righteous clergy also began. In the provincial seminaries, cadres of these Catholic destroyers of Orthodoxy are already being forged with might and main by ecumenical teachers. Young monks are sent there for "processing" with the expectation to shake the stronghold of Orthodoxy - the monasteries.

Your Holiness, immediately stop the persecution, for the truth is not on your side, return them to their places of service, because they could not do otherwise. You take sin upon your soul, including for the suffering of their family members.

I will return to your mentor, Metropolitan Nikodim. I agree that the external church ties that developed under him to some extent moderated Khrushchev's persecution of the church, I remember this, since I was already quite old. But the harm from his activities is immeasurably greater. It is now obvious that he planted the bomb, which exploded many years later, tearing the body of the Russian Orthodox Church at the hands of his disciple.

In this light, it becomes clearer why God sent your teacher a terrible death for the Orthodox without repentance
and a parting word from the church in the waiting room of the main heretic of the planet, followed by a funeral service by the heretics. I wonder how you personally are not afraid of something like this for yourself?

You certainly understand that the priesthood, which is absolutely powerless, de facto illegally located outside the legal field of the state, has no protection from the arbitrariness of the bishop, will vote for any ecumenical document sent down from the Patriarchate. A daredevil who raised his hand “against” (after all, the vote is not secret) will immediately be thrown out of his church with one stroke of the bishop’s pen, and there will be nothing to feed the mother and children. There will be voices against confessors, but there are always fewer of them. But here, Your Holiness, there is one “but”. Voting under fear is initially illegitimate - this is North Korea, and your repressions against the righteous clergy highlight this illegitimacy even more clearly.

Bishop Longin (Heat) uncompromisingly opposed the Havana Declaration, and the whole diocese - abbots, priests, flock - warmly supported him, as they were not afraid of persecution. And what, the whole diocese - solid "Pharisees" and grief "zealots of Orthodoxy"? Something doesn't add up!

I, Your Holiness, am not a member of any organization, and I am not under anyone's influence - an ordinary believing layman and I am guided only by my own conscience. I am against the shameful Havana Union and against the “Pan-Orthodox Council”, which is of no use to anyone except ecumenists. Please listen to us, for I know many who think the same way.

Is it not on the donations of the laity that the patriarchate and the entire infrastructure of the church are supported? Isn’t it our donations that support the episcopate and the priesthood, some priests fatten their bodies, barely fitting in chairs on live TV, forgetting that these donations include two mites of a poor widow. Meanwhile, the laity are completely removed from the management of the parishes. If in Soviet times the headman and the twenty were completely in charge of the church fence, now the other extreme is the absolute power of the rector due to the strange custom of complete obedience to the rector that arose even before your patriarchate (this was also negatively expressed by Professor Osipov). This custom makes neither the Parish Council nor the Parish Assembly completely unnecessary, or rather, reduces their work to nothing more than concocting and approving the countless bureaucratic waste paper demanded by the Patriarchate in recent years.

Even the post of headman passed under you from the laity to the rector. As a result, a feudal way of life reigns in the temples, there is no one to point out to the abbot about his mistakes and wrong actions - he will kick him out, and there is no one to protect him - after all, he is the headman himself. On the part of the outside parishioners, the rector is treated with respect, and if a good priest is praised, and he begins to exalt himself, look down at the parishioners, inwardly boast of the grace given to him by God as a gift (unlike the ascetic) to serve the spiritual needs of us parishioners.

As a result, the rector sees his equals only in other priests, with whom close relations are established, especially at the patronal meals, a community is formed, I am afraid that with all the signs of a caste, a community far from the laity, looking down on us.
This caste consciousness is especially evident on live broadcasts. O. Dmitry Smirnov . An erudite person who answers any question without hesitation does not see round tables and forums not “woe to zealots”, but genuine zealots of Orthodoxy, which gather hundreds of delegates from all over the country and from abroad, where speakers are not inferior to him in erudition , but surpass him in objectivity and adherence to truth.

According to Father Dmitry, they should all be driven out of the church, and obey the patriarch, the most intelligent of the bishops, and Metropolitan Hilarion, since he knows ten languages, -
that's all the arguments! And not a single word of substance.

Everything would be so if we did not know the history of the church, which the first hierarchs often dragged into heresy and union, and the pious children of the church saved it. I will give two short examples from life in support of what has been said above,
no comments:

1. Five rectors of the deanery and two parishioners are traveling in a minibus to holy places. One priest complained about his headman (then they were still from the laity) - he sometimes began to argue with him. The reaction of the comrades was unanimous: “Drive him, father<…>in three necks, ”but at the same time no one asked what the differences were, did not think that the headman feeds his family on a salary.

2. A wife's friend, matushka, told about her husband, who received a rural parish for the first time and left alone, arranging housing for the family for several months. “I didn’t recognize him, he became so arrogant, even with me, it took a long time to bring him to his senses.”

My wife and I also watch, not without interest, how, in twenty years, for our abbot, we flow from friends into something like insects under our feet. True, we are not offended, knowing where the legs grow from here, and we pray for him. This is the source of the arrogant attitude towards the protesting laity on the part of the patriarchate, this is why your henchmen give us insulting nicknames, and this is the area that requires reform.

Finishing my letter to you, I will say that I see no explanation for your policy, except for a deep secret admiration for the papacy.

Perhaps the president asked you to meet with the Pope in order to somehow weaken the isolation of Russia, but even in this case you had to refuse him, as Alexy II refused Yeltsin in recognition of the Yekaterinburg remains.

Our church is separated from the state, and its priorities may not coincide with the state.

I ask you, Your Holiness, to listen to what has been said and take steps to establish a dialogue
with opponents of your actions.

V. SOKOLOV

P.S. I do not belong to those who refuse to commemorate you at the Liturgy, I only ask God to enlighten you. You are a bright, outstanding person, with the gift of words; May God return you to the Orthodox field of Russia!

His Holiness, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'

Your Holiness!

We, Orthodox Christians in Russia and Abroad, ask you to pay attention to the campaign to purposefully denigrate the reputation of the famous preacher Archpriest Vladimir Golovin, as well as tens of thousands of Christians who listen to his sermons and pray by agreement with Orthodox akathists. At the XXVI International Christmas Readings, the clergyman of the Novosibirsk diocese, Archpriest Alexander Novopashin, delivered an unannounced report on the topic “The commercial-religious project of Priest Vladimir Golovin,” which almost entirely consisted of rumors that contradict the truth, borrowed from the schismatic website vseeresi.com (vseeresi.com ). A few days after his speech, a full-fledged persecution of Archpriest Vladimir Golovin was organized on the Internet. The fact that each accusation of the report from the commercial motives for prayer by agreement and its non-canonicity to the desire of Fr. Vladimir to guruism and false eldership is not true, both the ministers of the Russian Orthodox Church and tens of thousands of Orthodox Christians throughout Russia and abroad have already expressed their opinion. Ignoring the 9th commandment and the gospel covenant, “if your brother sins against you, go and reprove him between you and him alone; if he listens to you, then you have gained your brother; but if he does not listen, take one or two more with you, so that every word may be confirmed by the mouth of two or three witnesses; if he does not listen to them, tell the church; but if he does not listen to the Church, then let him be to you, like a pagan and a tax collector” (Matt. 18:15-17), Fr. Alexander cast a shadow on the unity of the Russian Orthodox Church, the image of an Orthodox priest and the reputation of tens of thousands of Orthodox Christians, who, in addition to the liturgy, the morning and evening rule, decided to carry out prayer work in the form of cell prayer by agreement with the akathist to the Lord God, the Mother of God or Orthodox saints. We live in different cities and countries, we go to Orthodox churches in different dioceses, we take care of different confessors, we teach in Sunday schools, we sing in the kliros, we go to parish meetings, we head revision committees of churches, and we don’t see our life outside the Russian Orthodox Church, but oh . Alexander and his supporters call us sectarians. We approach the same Chalice, participate together in church sacraments, pray for the hierarchy and the Russian Orthodox Church, and we are called schismatics. We stand up for worldwide prayer for Russia on the day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, and we are told that our understanding of prayer is utilitarian and does not correspond to the centuries-old experience of Orthodoxy. WE ARE ORTHODOX BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST, and they are trying to separate us from the general mass of Orthodox Christians because we decide to pray a little more, to stand up for prayer no matter what, with tens and hundreds of thousands of other Orthodox Christians at certain times every week, regardless from desire, well-being and life circumstances. Many of us came to the churches of our dioceses and became churched after the sermons of Fr. Vladimir Golovin, but is it really possible to call Golovins for this? Does Christ teach this in the parable of the prodigal son? Archpriest Vladimir Golovin led many people to liturgical life with his word. Thousands of Orthodox Christians after the sermons of Fr. Vladimir revised their views on chastity, civil marriages, abortions, as a result of conciliar prayer they created families in the Lord. For their prayerful work, many have received from God the gift of parenthood and, importantly, from birth they bring up children in the spirit of Orthodoxy, communion and accustoming them to life with Christ. Sermons about. Vladimir, already churched people, heartily experiencing the unbelief of their loved ones, were able to light a flame of faith in their hearts, lead them to the threshold of the temple, to the first confession, to Communion, and someone even to accept the Orthodox faith. You once said: “People do not come with buckets to a well where there is no water. No one would turn to Heaven if Heaven did not answer. It really is! If the Lord did not bless prayer by agreement, then what is described above would not have happened. Orthodox churches would not be replenished with people who experienced by experience how close the Lord is and how he loves us sinners. After all, this is exactly what Fr. Vladimir. And how many people he returned to the bosom of the Russian Orthodox Church from schismatic communities! Do not count. In the words of Alexander Novopashin, completely different things are happening now: believers leave prayer, are disappointed in priests who condemn their brothers in an impermissible rhetorical manner, people change their attitude towards fasting, watching how the Novosibirsk cleric and his supporters write obscene texts during the first week of Great Lent and Good Friday to your brother in Christ. Truly, “A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit… Therefore, by their fruit you shall know them” (Matthew 7:18, 20). It is said: “Blessed are those who thirst and hunger for righteousness, for they will be satisfied” (Matthew 5:6), so we ask for your paternal protection and intercession! We cordially ask you to familiarize yourself with the attached materials and understand what is happening with your usual concern for your flock. We fully trust you and rely on your objective opinion.

Think of the millions of believers you are called to bring to Christ

The recent events that have taken place in the Russian Orthodox Church make me, Mr. Patriarch, as an Orthodox Christian, raise my voice in defense of Orthodoxy. I do not address you using the full patriarchal title, as my Christian conscience does not allow me to do so. The title that your predecessors were proudly and rightly called, and which you trampled down, at a meeting with the heretic and false prophet of the Antichrist, the Pope of Rome. Of course, our bishops should have been the first to denounce these deeds, but, unfortunately, all of them cowardly hid, pretending that nothing had happened. I'm afraid to assume that they share your position. The monastics and priests are silent, with only rare exceptions, but if everyone “is silent, then the stones will cry out” ( OK. 19.40).

This meeting is not even a slap in the face, not even a spit in the face of every Orthodox person, we would have endured it, no one gets used to it, it is a blow to the very heart, to the soul of every believer in Russia. Just like a thief or a murderer strikes from behind, from a suspender. You kindled a fire in the minds and hearts of people and calmly observe what will happen next, it will burn itself out and go out, or you will have to extinguish it. And on the ground, unfortunately, the performers create a kind of informational vacuum, when people look at the pastors with hope, but they are silent. But, according to the words of St. Gregory the Theologian: "God is given up in silence." Why, Mr. Patriarch, do you hate your flock so much? Or do you, like the ancient scribes and Pharisees, think that "... this people is ignorant of the law, cursed is it" ( In. 7.49). Yes, we are sinful, but lazy, yes, negligent, but we are God's! And God, unlike you, does not leave his sheep to be torn to pieces by wolves, and not even by wolves, but by jackals! Although today the condition of our people leaves much to be desired, but for the most part they are still drawn to God, and you are depriving them of their last hope for salvation.

I, like so many, previously justified you, realizing that we are all not without sin, but now, my conscience will not allow me to do this. What should we look for in Latinism, if many of our saints have raised their voices against it? Or will you command us to forget, to erase from memory and from the Church the names of Patriarch Photius, St. Mark of Ephesus, Gregory Palamas, St. Maximus the Confessor, St. Ignatius Brianchaninov, Righteous John of Kronstadt, St. Seraphim (Sobolev), who is now glorified? Why should we rummage through this dung of Catholicism that we didn't see there? Our Russian people are not stupid, they judge the situation not by words, but by the fruits of deeds, for the last hundred years they have learned this Gospel commandment too well. After all, the Apostle John the Theologian himself warns us to beware of heretics: “Everyone who transgresses the teaching of Christ and does not abide in it does not have God; he who abides in the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son. Whoever comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house and do not greet him. For he who greets him participates in his evil deeds" ( 2 Jn. 1:1,9-11).

I think you know these lines as well as I do, because after all you are not a rural pastor, but a patriarch. But your kisses with Pope Francis completely contradict the teachings of the apostle of love. The Apostle John preached not such brotherly love; he himself abhorred heretics like the plague. Yes, I somehow lost sight of the fact that we do not call a heretic a heretic today, ecumenism is in the yard. But show the Orthodox people the fruits of your so-called ecumenical activity, "witness to the truth."

Present to the people crowds of Catholics who have converted from delusion, cardinals, after all, fifty years of this activity, this is a respectable period, at least some “fruits” should appear from it. Unfortunately, the "fruit" of this so-called "activity" is only the worm of heresy, which wears away the tree of Orthodoxy, and there the worm of Gehenna is not far off. Catholics are not our brothers, they never were, and they can become them only through repentance, no matter how colorful your “beautiful words” with the Pope may sound. Moreover, in the will of the founder of Russian monasticism, St. Theodosius of the Kiev Caves, we find:

“Do not partake of the Latin (Catholic) faith, do not adhere to their customs, run away from their communion and avoid all their teaching and shun their customs.” And then he adds: “Beware, children, of the crooked believers and all their conversations, for our land is also filled with them…

And those who live in a different faith: in the Catholic or Muslim, or Armenian - they will not see eternal life. It is also not fitting, child, to praise someone else's faith. Praising someone else's faith, it's the same as blaspheming his own. If someone begins to praise both his own and someone else's, then he is a two-believer, close to heresy. But you, child, beware of such, and unceasingly praise your faith. Don't fraternize with them, but run from them and pursue in your faith good works.” You can cite many more quotations, but you know them as well as I do, so why do you not follow the path of the holy Fathers of the Church, and at the same time try to push others astray from the true path? Yes, and only one Latin dogma about the primacy of the pope is enough to understand the full depth of the fall of Catholicism. Here are just some excerpts from the resolutions of the First Vatican Council in 1870: “The Pope is divine man and human god... The Pope has divine authority, and his authority is unlimited. It is possible for him on earth the same thing as God in heaven. what is done by the Pope is the same as what is done by God... The Pope commands heavenly and earthly things. The Pope in the world is the same as God in the world or the soul in the body. everything is given to the power and will of the pope, and no one and nothing can resist him.

.
If the pope dragged millions of people to hell with him, then none of them would have the right to ask him: holy father, why are you doing this? the pope is infallible, like God, and can do everything that God does"
.

What blasphemy and satanic pride these lines are saturated with! The Catholics have created an idol that they worship, and we are invited to follow their example, that is, to start moving towards hell, without asking too many questions. Here is another short quote from the same document:

. “Papa can change the nature of things, make something out of nothing. He has power to create truth out of untruth, power against truth, without truth and contrary to truth, to do whatever he pleases. He can object to the apostles and to the commandments transmitted by the apostles, he has the power to correct everything that he recognizes as necessary in the New Testament, he can change the very Sacraments established by Jesus Christ.

When you read these lines, you get the impression that we are talking about Satan. Do you, Mr. Patriarch, propose to regard this person as a brother in Christ to all the faithful children of the Russian Orthodox Church? Recognizing and equating the Catholic "church" with the Orthodox Church.

You have taken a step of apostasy, trampling on the Creed drawn up by the Holy Fathers and approved by the Ecumenical Councils. You have given a start to the complete catholicization of Orthodoxy, which will be further enshrined at the upcoming “holy council”, within the framework of ecumenism. It is not difficult to guess what will follow all this, the secularization of the flock and pastors, as well as a trailer of sodomy, debauchery and moral degradation. As an Orthodox person, I do not want our churches to be sold for one euro in the future for hotels and discos, bars and skateboards, so that rock concerts can be held in them, as is happening today in Europe.

Think of the millions of believers you are called to bring to Christ, not to Antichrist; to salvation, not to destruction. Just think of your own soul, with which Christ will ask for all this! Are you not afraid of the Judgment of God? By acknowledging the papists as "brothers" and not denouncing their delusions, you are depriving almost a billion people on the planet of the possibility of salvation. Therefore, I call on you to repent before the entire Orthodox people for participating in the meeting in Cuba, to refuse to participate in the ecumenical movement, to change the course of our Church, to withdraw from the WCC, to refuse to participate in the upcoming “Pan-Orthodox Council.”

Call on Metropolitan Feofan to order and put an end to lawlessness in the Kazan diocese!

"Your Holiness!!!

Dear members of the Holy Synod!!!

The lawless rule of Metropolitan Feofan in the Kazan Diocese forced me to turn to you.

During the time that Metropolitan Theophan headed the Kazan Diocese, many unpleasant events happened with his direct "leadership". So, Metropolitan Theophan indiscriminately, guided only by personal likes and dislikes, began to expel employees of churches, monasteries, and farmsteads, despite the fact that these people worked for the good of the Church. Many of the employees expelled by Metropolitan Theophan worked in these places for many years, often starting their work for the benefit of the Church from the very ruins of a particular temple or monastery. And many of them had no other place to go and where to lay their heads.

It is no longer a secret for anyone in our Diocese that the Orthodox Faith and dignity have become a kind of "business" for the Metropolitan. Practically from all parishes and monasteries unofficial fees were collected, as was said for the bishop's house. Now in the village The Petrovsky city of Kazan has a luxurious mansion, which does not fit in with the image of the modest archpastor and unmercenary Metropolitan Feofan. This mansion was registered in the name of the wife of the Metropolitan's secretary, Tatyana Samoylenko. But after the previous letter addressed to you, the aforementioned mansion was re-registered for the Kazan Diocese. At least the benefit of the Church came out of it.

As for the divine services of Metropolitan Theophan, not one of them has yet passed without shouting, swearing and showdowns from the metropolitan. Swearing and screams are heard from him even during the Divine Liturgy. One of the most egregious facts of this behavior of Metropolitan Feofan is the Easter service at the Raifa Bogoroditsky Monastery in 2015. All the parishioners present at that divine service were extremely surprised and embarrassed by the swearing and abuse that was heard that night from the lips of the metropolitan (due to the large number of parishioners on Easter, the service is accompanied by sounding through microphones and speakers). It is easy to imagine what kind of "Easter mood" the bishop created among those praying, when through the singing of the choir, louder than the service itself, the metropolitan's remarks that were not Easter were heard at all.

The manner of communication of the metropolitan with clerics of lower rank is an elevated tone, often turning into shouting and insults. Metropolitan Feofan's management style is constant threats, screams, insults and blackmail, as well as endless intimidation of the abbots by removal from office. At the same time, he does not look at merit, or age, or the social or financial situation of the exiled, who sometimes simply has nowhere to go, except for the place where he serves. Metropolitan Feofan is guided only by the desire to put his man in the place of another exiled rector. Metropolitan Theophan does not explain either the reasons or reasons for such exiles.

Metropolitan Theophan actually survived the abbot of the Makariev Monastery, hegumen Gleb (Vladimirov), who, unable to withstand the methods of "governance" of Metropolitan Theophan, was forced to leave his position and the Diocese. This was hidden by the Metropolitan, since all this took place on the eve of the visit to Kazan of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'.

Metropolitan Theophan tried to remove Archimandrite Herman (Kuzmin) from his post as rector of the Sedmiozerny Monastery, until the public interceded for the latter, who even planned to hold a picket in support of Archimandrite Herman. And things probably would have gone as far as pickets if the authorities of the republic had not made it clear to Metropolitan Feofan about their negative attitude towards what was happening and the undesirability of such a turn of affairs.

One can also cite as an example Archimandrite Vsevolod (Zakharov), who, being in an endless state of stress from communication with the Metropolitan, died suddenly at the age of 57. I would also like to note the suspicious haste with which Archimandrite Vsevolod was buried, at the direction of the Metropolitan, on the second day after his death. This is what made it impossible for everyone who wanted to come to the funeral, and of those who still managed to come, no one was allowed to approach the coffin, except for representatives of the authorities. The late Archimandrite Vsevolod, whose bright name Metropolitan Feofan now denigrates in a narrow circle, was a kind person, a worthy abbot of the monastery, and was respected not only by the clergy and parishioners, but also by those in power.

Today it's the turn of the rector of the Sviyazhsky Mother of God - the Assumption Monastery, hegumen Siluan. Metropolitan Feofan has already announced his removal from office. And all this while the abbot is being treated in the hospital. The Metropolitan simply arrived at the Sviyazhsky Monastery, in the absence of the rector, who at that moment was undergoing treatment, and announced to the brethren the removal of the rector from his post.

Hegumen Siluan stood at the origins of the revival of the Sviyazhsky monastery, attracted a large number of parishioners, through his efforts many gained faith, and found the way to the temple and God. The news about the removal of hegumen Siluan caused a great resonance in Tatarstan. There was talk of pickets again. Many abbots of churches and monasteries simply do not want to commemorate Metropolitan Theophan at services as the ruling bishop.

We humbly ask you to consider the above facts and call on Metropolitan Theophan to behave worthy of high dignity!
This petition will be delivered to:
Patriarch Kirill and the Holy Synod"
