It happened in 1949 in Georgetown, a 13-year-old boy "played" in a seance. In those years, summoning spirits was very fashionable among adults and children. Soon the "souls" got in touch - the boy heard strange knocking, scratching ... In a word, the game was a success! However, at night, when the child was put to bed, a crash was heard around the icon hanging in his room, then creaks, sighs, heavy footsteps were heard. This went on for several days and nights. The parents decided that this was the spirit of a recently deceased relative who was very attached to the child during his lifetime.

However, the "spirit" behaved too strangely for a loving uncle: the child's clothes began to disappear, and then suddenly appeared in the most unexpected places. The chair in which the boy was sitting suddenly turned over. At school, classmates' notebooks and textbooks flew through the air! Finally, the parents were asked to take the boy out of school and hire private teachers for him. But first, show the doctors.

The doctors listened to the story of the parents of the young patient, did the tests and found the child absolutely healthy. However, when the boy's voice suddenly changed - from a child's to a low, rough, hoarse voice - the parents were worried in earnest.

The boy was "diagnosed" by the priests: possession by the devil. The rite of exorcism (driving out the devil) lasted 10 weeks. All this time, during the sessions, the child demonstrated unprecedented strength, easily throwing the priest's assistants around the sides. He moved his head in a strange snakelike manner, spitting in the eyes of those around him. Once, during the ceremony, he managed to escape from the hands of the ministers. He rushed to the priest, snatched out the ritual book and ... destroyed it! He destroyed, not tore apart: before the eyes of astonished eyewitnesses, the book turned into a cloud of confetti! At the end of ten weeks, the child forgot that, while struggling to escape, he broke the arms of two priest's assistants, that he threw himself at his own mother with a knife ... He became a zealous Catholic and lived a righteous life.

The Roman Catholic Church believes that demons, having possessed a person, can manifest themselves in two ways: either by knocks, an unpleasant smell, the movement of objects - this is an "intrusion" into our being, or by the changed behavior of a person who "suddenly begins to shout obscenities, his body beats into convulsions. " This state is called obsession.

In 1850, a woman appeared in France, about whom strange knocks and codings were always heard, sometimes foam came out of her mouth, the unfortunate woman was convulsed and shouted obscenities. And having come to a more or less calm state, she suddenly began to speak Latin ... In the same place, in France, fifteen years later, there lived two brothers who suffered from obsession. In addition to the traditional "set" of oddities - convulsions, shouting hula and other things, they could also predict the future and made objects fly through the air.

In 1928, in the state of Iowa (USA), there was a very popular story of a woman who suffered from an obsession from the age of 14. Her illness consisted in the fact that she experienced a physical disgust for the church and the objects of religious worship. The woman was already over 30 years old when she decided on the rite of exorcism. At the very first ritual words, some unknown force snatched it out of the hands of the ministers of the church, carried it through the air and seemed to stick it to the wall high above the door of the temple. There was nothing to hold on to the wall, but it was with great difficulty that the possessed woman was separated from the wall and returned to the hands of the ministers. This went on for 23 days. All this time, knocks, rattling, wild howls were heard in the church building, terrifying the parishioners. Then the unclean spirit left the woman's body and the walls of the temple, but after a while he returned and tried to do his black deeds again. The second rite of exorcism was much easier and the demon left his "object" now forever.

The Canadian newspaper Sun in 1991 described a rite of exorcism from a 15-year-old Indian girl. A young and not very experienced priest Guntano Vigliotta undertook to expel the demon from the poor thing. He had been warned that it would be dangerous to perform the exorcism ritual alone. However, Wigliott did not heed the advice. The session in the house of the possessed woman lasted two hours. Suddenly, the girl's mother, who was watching what was happening from another room, heard strange screams. Then everything was silent. After some time, the mother entered the room where the ceremony was being held and saw a horrifying picture: the priest's body was literally torn to pieces, and the possessed girl was unconscious. Coming to her senses, she remembered the voice that sounded in her brain during the ceremony: "My name is the Devourer! Kill the priest!"

In October 1991, one of the US television channels broadcast a report about the expulsion of a demon from 16-year-old American Gina. On that day, about 40 percent of the country's viewers gathered in front of the televisions. Bishop Keith Silamons allowed such a show and accompanied it with the words: "The devil really exists. He is strong and has been active on the planet for all centuries."

Peter Johnson, a 50-year-old civil servant, was a model citizen. He lived a quiet life in South East England. He worked hard, loved gardening, and adored his wife Joan. There was nothing unusual in his life. But then Askinra came - a "demon" who had eaten into his soul and took control of Peter's life. "It was like there was something alien living inside my body," says Peter. "It has penetrated my body, my brain." The presence of Askinra was first felt by Peter during his sleep. In the nightmare he dreamed, a dark forbidden entity entered Peter's body and took control of him. At first, the old man ignored the recurring nightmares, but eventually they began to flow into his daily life. Sharp headaches made his life miserable. Uncontrolled dizziness and bouts of narcolepsy swept over him without warning. It was enough to break the man, but hallucinations soon followed. “I thought I was losing my mind,” says Peter.

Around this time, his wife began to notice changes in his behavior. Peter's feelings and emotions changed like spring weather - from rapturous lust to deep despair. His physical condition was similar, such as bouts of vomiting, sudden diarrhea, or temperature jumps. Joints ached from unbearable pain.

Peter was hospitalized several times, but, as it turned out, he did not suffer from any of the known diseases. Eventually, he was put under the supervision of Dr. Alan Sanderson, a renowned consultant psychiatrist with an interest in esotericism. Dr. Sanderson was familiar with such cases - an evil spirit took possession of Peter's soul. He was possessed.

"It's more natural and common than most people think," says Sanderson, a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. "If you've used the board to summon spirits or asked the spirits to cross over to this side of life, one of them may take over your soul."

Many consider exorcism to be a relic of the Middle Ages, unrelated to the 21st century. "The demonic possession has no good reason! It's the imagination of idiots and storytellers!" - many can subscribe to these words. But, oddly enough, exorcism is attracting more and more medical credibility and remains part of the religious mainstream.

Not so long ago, the Vatican University announced that they now hold special courses on the practical aspects of driving out evil spirits. British "Channel Four" filmed a real rite of exorcism. More than a hundred American medical schools have introduced a course in spiritual medicine. Increasingly, psychiatrists are referring their patients to private exorcists.

"I don't doubt for a moment that the spirit world is real," says Dr. Sanderson. "I believe that there are many types of spiritual entities that can penetrate into us. Most often there are souls of dead people - they did not go to" heaven "and are looking for repose in the world of the living."

For most people, exorcism will always be associated with a famous Hollywood movie. But the story of Father Damien Karras' duel with the devil is based on real events that took place in 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. True, the real rite of exorcism was carried out on a 14-year-old boy, and not on a girl, but it was no less terrible.

The story began when 14-year-old Richard and his aunt summoned spirits. Shortly thereafter, his aunt died under mysterious circumstances. A few days later, strange events began to happen around the boy himself. Tables and chairs moved around the room on their own, photographs fell from the walls, and footsteps could be heard in the attic of the house. But even stranger things happened to Richard himself: an inscription appeared on his chest, as if carved into his flesh, incomprehensible signs appeared on his arms and legs. A Catholic priest was called in to perform the exorcism.

At first, the holy father William Bowden tried to exorcise the demon with the help of a few simple prayers, but soon realized that he was facing a serious opponent. Every time Richard tried to recant a prayer to deny Satan, a terrible power seized power over his body, preventing him from uttering a word. During the exorcism, Richard was filled with a terrible force - three adult men helped the priest to keep the boy. Day after day, the priest battled the demon inside Richard, who constantly teased Bowden and spat at his assistants. One day the boy grabbed the arm of Bowden's father and said: "I myself am the devil."

After 28 days of fighting, an exhausted Father Bowden tried to drive the devil out of Richard again. But this time it was different. When Richard tried to say "Our Father", some force took possession of his body and helped to finish the prayer to the end. Richard was released. The boy later said that Archangel Michael himself intervened to help him say the prayer. He also saw a vision in which the saint fought with Satan at the exit from the burning cave.

Peter Johnson's obsession was no less odd. Askinra's presence was only revealed when Dr. Sanderson hypnotized the old man. Under hypnosis, Askinra temporarily gained complete control over Peter's body and used his voice to communicate. The demon stated that he came from a "dark flame" and his main purpose was "to inflict pain." Askinra also expressed his intention - "I will be free only when I destroy HIM."

Dr. Sanderson decided that the demon should be released. It was "released" that Sanderson did not perceive the words "exile" and "exorcism." He sought to negotiate with the spirits, to convince them to leave the illegally acquired body in a peaceful way. This is less traumatic for all concerned, and also gives the spirit a chance to find peace and quiet.

Sanderson managed to convince Askinra to leave Peter's body. As soon as the demon left the body, he began to describe typical dying visions - a luminous white path, places of "mountains and light". After that, Askinra could no longer influence Peter in any way. Before leaving our reality, the demon said: "I'm sorry, I didn't want this. Come and see me in my new place ..."

The small Bavarian town of Klingeberg has become a place of mass religious worship. Thousands of people want to visit the burial place of Anneliese Michelle, who died tragically at the age of 23. Her mysterious story is repeated in the script for the film "Emily Rose's Six Demons", which mentions the real trial of a priest, whose actions led to the death of a young girl.

From birth, Anneliese had fear in her life. Her family was religious: her father wanted to become a priest, but fate decreed otherwise, but three aunts were nuns. Michelle's family, like any other, had its own secret. In 1948, Anneliese's mother gave birth to her daughter Martha, while she was unmarried. It was considered a shame to such an extent that even on the wedding day, the bride did not take off her black veil. Anneliese was born 4 years later. The mother actively encouraged the girls to serve God, with which she tried to compensate for the sin of birth. At the age of eight, Martha died of complications after having her kidney tumor removed. The impressionable and kind Anneliese felt the need for atonement for her sins even more sharply.

Increasingly, the girl noticed traces of sins around her, trying to get rid of them. While the kids of the 60s tried to push the boundaries of freedom, Anneliese slept on the stone floor, trying to atone for the sins of drug addicts who slept on the floor in the station building. At the age of 16, there were terrible seizures - Anneliese was beating in convulsions like an epileptic, and the drugs prescribed by the doctors did not have the desired effect. Loss of consciousness and depression became constant companions of the girl. The parents decided that it was all about the demons who attacked Anneliese during prayers. Every day this conviction was gaining strength.

Doctors diagnosed advanced epilepsy, and the girl herself complained of devilish hallucinations that begin with prayer. In 1973, Anneliese developed depression, during which she seriously thought about suicide. The voices that the girl heard spoke of the futility of her actions. Then Anneliz turned to the local priest with a request to conduct a ritual of casting out demons, but he twice refused her. The reason was that the girl's condition was not similar to when the demons were possessed. That is, there were no supernatural abilities, barking, speaking in unknown languages, and so on.

Her health worsened every day, but despite this, Anneliese performed 600 bows on her knees every day. As a result, this led to serious injury to the ligaments of the knee joints. Then other oddities began. She crawled under the table and barked for several days, howled from there, ate spiders, pieces of coal and even the head of a dead bird.

A few years later, Anneliese, already driven to despair, began to beg the priest to conduct the ritual, but he refused all the time. Only when she began to attack her parents, destroy the image of Christ and tear down the crucifix, the priests came to her home. Having started the sessions, which were given the go-ahead, Anneliese completely refused to take medications. Later, doctors diagnosed schizophrenia, which is treatable. According to rumors, the girl could be impressed by the film "The Exorcist" by director William Fradkin. But, regardless of what caused the disease, the belief that the hallucinations were real only intensified.

The ceremony was conducted by Father Arnold Renz and Pstor Ernst Alt. For nine months, the priests held 1–2 four-hour sessions per week. According to them, the priests identified several demons, including Judas Iscariot, Lucifer, Cain and Adolf Hitler, and they spoke German with an Austrian intonation.

Forty-two hours were recorded on tape, but experts say it is incredibly difficult to listen to. Inhuman roar alternates with curses and dialogues from demons about the horrors of hell. Anneliese herself thrashed so much during the sessions that she had to be tied, and sometimes chained to a chair.

In the spring of 1976, the girl developed pneumonia as a result of exhaustion of the body. On July 1, without regaining consciousness, Anneliese died. The parents buried the girl next to Martha behind the cemetery, where a place was reserved for illegitimate and suicides. Even after her death, Anneliese did not get rid of the sinfulness that she had stubbornly fought all her life. It is impossible to prove the veracity of one of the versions, because the treatment did not bring the desired results, and the girl had been taking medications for 6 years. It is possible that she simply lost faith in the effectiveness of the treatment.

Despite the fact that the girl's parents argued that satanic forces were to blame, justice still took place. The hearing analyzed 42-hour recordings of howls and dialogues that were heard from Anneliese's room. But the verdict was mild enough. The parents, as well as two priests, were found guilty and sentenced to 6 months probation.

After Anneliese's death, the religious madness did not end. In 1998, a nun from East Germany informed Michelle's family that she had a vision. Based on her words, the girl's body did not decompose in the grave, which means that it is at the mercy of dark forces. Anna and Joseph obtained the exhumation and, in the presence of the mayor and a huge crowd, opened the coffin. The mayor, who looked into the coffin first, warned the parents that the sight of the girl's remains would prevent them from preserving the image of their daughter. But they, nevertheless, looked in and calmed down only when they saw a terrible-looking skeleton.

Anneliese's mother lives in the same house and to this day she has not regained consciousness after these events. Joseph died and the other three daughters left. Anne Michelle is over 80 years old today, and she herself bears the burden of these memories. From the windows of her bedroom you can see the cemetery and the grave of her daughter with a wooden cross.

One of the well-documented cases of obsession in the 20th century. The peculiarity of Anna Ekland's case is that the victim was possessed by both devil and demonic entities. Ekland was born in Midwest around 1882. She was raised as a pious and devout Catholic. She first developed symptoms of obsession - aversion to objects of worship, reluctance to attend church, and constant sexual obsessions - at the age of fourteen. Ekland became finally possessed in 1908. Her torment is described in the book of the Reverend Karl Vogl "Begone, Satan!", Published in German and translated into English by the Reverend Celestine Kersner.

The book reveals that Anna's obsession was caused by her aunt, Mina, who was believed to be a witch. She enchanted the herbs that Ekland used for food. Father Theophilius Riesinger, a native of Bavaria, a Capuchin monk from the brotherhood of St. Anthony in Marathon, Wisconsin, successfully exorcised demons from Anna on June 18, 1912. However, Ekland fell victim to the devil again after her father cursed her, wishing that a demon possessed her daughter. In 1928, when Anna was 46 years old, Father Theophilius again attempted an exorcism. In search of a place where Ekland would not be known, Father Theophilus turned to his friend, Father F. Joseph Steiger, a parish priest in Irling, Iowa. With great reluctance, Father Steiger agreed that the exorcism should be carried out in the nearby convent of the Franciscan sisters.

Ekland arrived in Irling on August 17, 1928. Trouble began immediately. Sensing that someone had sprinkled holy water on dinner, the possessed woman threw a tantrum, purring like a cat and refusing to eat until she was given unconsecrated food. After that, the demons who possessed her always felt when one of the nuns tried to bless food or drink and began to complain. The ancient ritual began early the next morning. Father Theophilus invited several strong nuns to hold Ekland on a mattress laid on an iron bed.

The possessed was tied tightly so that she would not rip off her clothes. As the exorcism began, Ekland pursed her lips and passed out. This state was accompanied by unusual levitation. The woman quickly got out of bed and hung on the wall above the door like a cat. Those present had great difficulty in pulling her down. Despite the fact that all this time Anna was unconscious and did not open her mouth, she moaned, howled, and also made animal sounds of seemingly unearthly origin. The screams attracted the attention of the townspeople who gathered in the monastery, thereby destroying the hope of Father Theophilus to keep the exorcism a secret.

The exorcism was carried out twenty-three days, in three sessions: from 18 to 26 August, from 13 to 20 September and from 15 to 23 December. During this time, Ekland was physically on the verge of death. She ate nothing, just drank a little milk or water. Nevertheless, she vomited with a monstrous amount of foul-smelling waste, reminiscent of tobacco leaves. Besides, she spat. Anna's face was incredibly distorted and disfigured. The head swelled and lengthened, the eyes bulged out of their sockets, the lips were swollen, reportedly to the thickness of the palm. The belly bulged so much that it almost burst, then pulled in, becoming so hard and heavy that the iron bed sagged under Ekland's weight. In addition to physical changes, Anna understood languages she did not know before, had a disgust for sacred words and objects of worship, and also discovered the ability to clairvoyantly, revealing the secrets of childhood sins of participants in exorcisms.

The nuns and Father Steiger were so scared and agitated that they could not be in Ekland's room throughout the ritual, but worked in shifts. Father Steiger, teased by the devil for agreeing to an exorcism in his parish, was especially frightened and apparently suffered from this in a car accident, predicted and to some extent orchestrated by the devil. Only Father Theophilus, confident in his strength, remained firm.

Ekland was possessed by hordes of lesser demons and vengeance spirits, which are described as "mosquito swarms." But the main tormentors were the demon Beelzebub, Judas Iscariot and the spirits of Anna's father - Jacob and his mistress, as well as Ekland's aunt - Mina. Beelzebub was the first to discover his presence. He entered into a sarcastic conversation on theological issues with Father Theophilus and confirmed that when Anna was fourteen, she was possessed by demons thanks to Jacob's curse. Father Theophilus tried to contact Jacob, but he was answered by a spirit calling himself Judas Iscariot. He admitted that he had to drive Anna to suicide in order for her soul to go to hell. Finally Jacob spoke up. He said that he cursed his daughter for not yielding to his sexual harassment and called on the devil to tempt Anna's chastity in every possible way. Jacob took Ekland's aunt, Mina, as his mistress, when he was still married and repeatedly tried to seduce his daughter. Whether Anna's virginity remained intact even at forty-six years old or whether her father forced her into incest is unknown. Throughout this ordeal, Ekland was godly.

Sensing his triumph, Father Theophilus continued to conjure the demons, demanding that they leave Anna. At the end of December 1928, they began to give in and were already moaning, not screaming, in response to his actions. Father Theophilus demanded that they return to the underworld, and as a sign that they were leaving, each had to give his name. The demons agreed. On December 23, 1928, at about nine in the evening, Anna suddenly jerked and sat up on the bed. She seemed to be about to climb to the ceiling. Father Steiger called the nuns to put the woman on the bed when Father Theophilus blessed her and proclaimed: "Go away, devil of hell! Get out, Satan, lion of the kingdom of Judah!" Anna collapsed back onto the bed. Then there was a terrible cry: "Beelzebub, Judah, Jacob, Mina", followed by: "Hell, hell, hell!", Repeated many times until the sounds died away in the distance. Ekland opened her eyes and smiled. Tears of joy flowed from her eyes. She exclaimed: "My God! Glory to Jesus Christ!" The demons left a stench behind. When the window was opened, the smell disappeared.

Several years ago, one of my friends invited our company to relax on the lake. We arrived at the place, set up camp, friends went fishing, and I went into the forest for firewood. I decided to shorten the path a little and suddenly slipped, rolled down the slope and fell into some kind of deep hole. At the far end of the gorge, where I found myself, I noticed a blocked entrance. Pushed aside the boulders: the entrance to the tunnel. I stuck in there ...
It was not possible to walk in full growth, the stone vaults were too low. It became more and more difficult to make your way further: the passage narrowed, and there was not enough air, not to mention the fact that pitch darkness reigned around. I sat down on a stone, deciding to rest before going back. Suddenly my attention was attracted by something flashing in the darkness. I struck a lighter and looked closely: gold coins!

Ancient coins

I picked up the find and went to the exit. In the sunlight he examined what he found: the coins were minted, obviously ancient. I will not betray my soul: I did not tell my friends anything about the find. I would have had to share then, but I didn't want to have already figured out where to spend the amount I received for the treasure. Give the treasure to the state and get a pitiful interest? No way in the world! I will look for an antiquarian, he will give a good price! "

It all started on the first night, back in the forest. I dreamed that I was again in the dungeon, slowly making my way into the depths, there were a lot of obstacles on the way. I found a huge chest, clearly full of jewels. I opened it, and there were skeletons, bones, skulls, which suddenly began to come to life. The candle flame I was carrying in my hand began to flicker. Suddenly, incomprehensible creatures, either people or gnomes, emerged from the darkness. They stretched greedy hands to me, surrounded and howled:
- This is our treasure! This is our treasure! Give it back! Give it to us! The demon will find you!

I woke up terrified.
- Why are you so pale Kolyan? And where did you scratch your hands like that? - the friends were surprised in the morning.
What could I answer? That in a dream he made his way through the thorns? And there are traces from my dream on me? We returned to the city. On the same day, I sat down on the Internet in search of the right person. And that night I had a terrible dream. The only difference is that unknown creatures imprisoned me in a dungeon filled with worms, snakes and rats. It was just awful!

In the morning a friend came to visit.
- Ugh! Kolyan, what is that muck on your floor? Looks like trampled worms, nightmare!
So it was in my dream ...
In that damned dream!
One thing gave me joy: getting coins and sorting them, examining, admiring.

Demon's Revenge

I soon found a suitable antique shop and went there. He spun for a long time at the door, but never entered. I realized that I could not part with the coins, they seemed to chained me to them. And at night again there was a terrible dream ... I was in a huge Ancient dark hall with low stone vaults, on the walls of a skull and the same strange symbol was painted. I knew that in order to break free, you need to execute some stranger. And I do it with extreme cruelty ... Woke up from the doorbell:
- Nikolay, open it, you have a deluge! You fill us up! - the neighbor from below shouted hysterically.

Terrible dreams came true: in the evening they brutally killed an antique dealer. It turned out that surveillance cameras recorded me spinning around the entrance, but never getting inside. I was arrested as the only suspect. The investigation began. The most terrible thing is that when I saw the photograph of the corpse, I realized that it was him that I killed in my sleep. I remembered everything to the smallest detail: how he offered me money for his life, how I tortured him, how I killed him ... In the pre-trial detention center, dreams did not stop. I realized that I would soon lose my mind. And I would have been in prison if I had not remembered how I flooded my neighbor. The time of her arrival coincided with the time of the murder.

As soon as I was free, I immediately went to where I found the treasure. I decided to open the box and admire the coins goodbye - they were covered in blood. I put them in the same place where I found them and left without looking back ...
I still don’t know who the coins belonged to, and I don’t want to know. I want to forget everything, but I can't yet ... Sometimes it seems that from the darkness a dead antique dealer, whom I killed in my sleep, is looking at me, and these strange creatures who demand that the treasure be returned to them.

The story was told by a devout man, in principle, like his wife, so he asked not to mention their names and the city in which it happened, otherwise "you never know what." Well, his will be done. Further from his words.

It was in 2017, somewhere in the beginning or mid-May. It was sunny weather, but the puddles from the melted snow had not yet really dried up, there was this disgusting slush everywhere. Then we walked around the city with our own company: me, my wife, and a friend with my girlfriend. It was a day off, there were a lot of people around, and, apparently, they also went out in the sun to warm themselves. We decided to sit on a bench near the park. We sit, chatting about life. We look, not far, twenty meters away from us, some incomprehensible guy is hanging around.

In an effort to while away an hour or two, all means are good: “cities”, “yes-no”, “associations”, team counting of pillars outside the windows, choral singing. But still, the absolute favorite of any trip is conversation! - from banal chatter to sophisticated discussion. Our dialogues are woven according to the principle of Vologda lace - they can change, but should not be interrupted. Therefore, when at the end of the night, the topic of natural anomalies finally exhausts itself, the conversation smoothly flows into the mystical. My goddaughter and I, out of quiet sadness, recall a couple of amusing tales, my husband shares an instructive grandfather's legend, in which the wisdom of fathers warns naive descendants from looking for meetings with the otherworldly.

Long ago, faced with a sleep paralysis demon. I slept. But I look at myself from the side of the closet, from above - I see myself lying on the bed, slightly obliquely. There is a bouquet of flowers in a vase on the windowsill, one curtain is laid on a branch from the vase. The room is like twilight. It was the white nights. And next to me is something. It looked like this. If a blanket is thrown over a person (along with his head) and a rope is slightly tied at neck level. Here is such a freakish silhouette as tall as a person. And this something begins to "flow" on me, smoothly approach, and I myself observe it from the closet. Then I suddenly seem to fly down ... and wake up.

How little we know about the world around us, much of our science is hushed up or distorted. Meanwhile, we live among a huge variety of varieties of life. And if we do not see something, then this does not mean that it does not exist, but this means that our vision is imperfect. Maybe my story will help someone avoid trouble, which is why I decided to publish it.

About 10 years ago, my son brought a beautiful mask from Indonesia as a gift. The mask depicted some kind of grinning monster, but it was pleasant to look at and did not cause negativity. I hung it on the top cabinet door handle in my bedroom. Since I am a very busy person with work and a large family, I usually fall asleep thinking about tomorrow's business.

If you ever woke up and were unable to even move, or saw an incomprehensible dark figure in the dimness of the room, you probably later consulted with Dr. Google, who told you that at night you were dealing with sleep paralysis or "old witch syndrome." But even if in fact a demon attacked you in a dream, try to convince the public that you are an absolutely normal person ... Here are some real stories on this topic, published by people on Reddit. Believe it or not, it's up to you.
1. "Something whispered in my ear"
I had never experienced a similar phenomenon before, and the first time it happened, I was lying on my left side and suddenly felt a strong pressure in the chest area.

Previously, a friend had a dacha in Sergiev Posad. We went there often. Her parents went there for the whole summer. From there we went to work, and we came to them.
There she introduced me to different guys, they were all friends together. Naturally, we went for walks at night, rode cars. Everything is as usual.
We go home one day in the morning. There was a small pond or river, I hardly remember this moment. There are seven of us, so let's go, so the fog is somehow uncomfortable even. We are kidding something, we scare each other with babies.
We look, there is a boy, about 10 years old. What is he doing here? Yes, at a time like this. We pass by.

Most of the scary stories are delusional and clearly border on insanity. No matter how it is: some of them are more than just real. We will tell you about them.

Core

On March 16, 1995, Briton Terry Cottle shot himself in the bathroom of his apartment. The suicide with the words "help me, I am dying" died right in the arms of his wife Cheryl.

A healthy and physically fit Cottle shot himself in the head, but his body remained unharmed. In order not to waste such goodness, the doctors decided to donate the organs of the deceased. The widow agreed.

The 33-year-old heart of Cottle was transplanted into 57-year-old Sonny Graham. The patient recovered and wrote a letter of gratitude to Cheryl. In 1996, they met and Graham felt an incredible attraction to the widow. In 2001, the sweet couple began to live together, and in 2004 they got married.

But in 2008, the poor heart stopped beating forever: Sonny, for some unknown reason, also shot himself.

Earnings

How to make money like a man? Someone becomes a businessman, some go to the factory, the rest become clerks, idlers or journalists. But Mao Sujiyama surpassed everyone: the Japanese artist cut off his manhood and prepared a savory dish from it. Moreover, there were even six madmen who paid $ 250 each to eat this nightmare in the presence of 70 witnesses.

Reincarnation

In 1976, hospital orderly Allen Schauery from Chicago entered the apartment of his colleague Teresita Basa without permission. Probably, the guy wanted to clean out the young lady's dwelling, but when he saw the mistress of the house, Allen had to stab and burn her so that the woman would not tell anything.

A year later, Remi Chua (another medical colleague) began to see Teresita's corpse wandering the corridors of the hospital. It would be half the trouble if this ghost just staggered. So it moved into poor Remi, began to control her like a puppet, speak in the voice of Teresita and told the cops about everything that had happened.

The police officers, relatives of the deceased and Remi's family were shocked by what was happening. But the killer was still split. And they put him behind bars.

It's better not to go to Anfield, Illinois. There lives a tripod one and a half meter slippery and hairy monster with short arms. On the evening of April 25, 1973, it attacked little Greg Garrett (though it took away only his sneakers), then knocked on Henry McDaniel's house. The man was shocked by the sight. Therefore, out of fear, he drove three bullets into the unexpected guest. The monster overcame 25 meters of McDaniel's yard in three jumps and disappeared.

Sheriff's deputies also met the Enfield monster several times. But nobody managed to solve it. Some kind of mysticism.

Black-eyed

Brian Bethel is a respected journalist who has built a successful career long ago. Therefore, he does not descend to the level of urban legends. But in the 1990s, the pen master started a blog in which he published a strange story.

One evening, Brian was sitting in a car parked in the movie theater parking lot. Several 10-12-year-old children approached him. The journalist lowered the window, started looking for a dollar for the kids and even exchanged a few words with them. The children complained that they could not enter the cinema without an invitation, that they were cold and he could not invite them into the car. And then Brian saw: in the eyes of the interlocutors there is absolutely no squirrel, only rabble.

The poor fellow with fright instantly closed the window and pressed the gas pedal all the way. His story is far from the only tale of strange black-eyed people. Have you already seen such aliens in your area?

Green mystic

Doris Beater is not the nicest person to live in Culver City, California. She constantly drinks and abuses her sons. And a woman also knows how to summon spirits. In the late 1970s, several researchers decided to personally verify the authenticity of her stories. It all ended with the fact that the young lady, with spells at home, really summoned the green silhouette of a man who scared everyone half to death. And one daredevil even lost consciousness.

In 1982, based on Beter's stories, the horror film Essence was filmed.

It happened in 1949 in Georgetown, a 13-year-old boy "played" in a seance. In those years, summoning spirits was very fashionable among adults and children. Soon the "souls" got in touch - the boy heard strange knocks, scratching ...
The Roman Catholic Church believes that demons, having possessed a person, can manifest themselves in two ways: either by knocks, an unpleasant smell, the movement of objects - this is an "intrusion" into our being, or by the changed behavior of a person who "suddenly begins to cry out obscenities, his body beats into convulsions ". This state is called obsession.
In 1850, a woman appeared in France, about whom strange knocks and codings were always heard, sometimes foam came out of her mouth, the unfortunate woman was convulsed and shouted obscenities. And having come to a more or less calm state, she suddenly began to speak Latin ... In the same place, in France, fifteen years later, two brothers lived, suffering from obsession.
Coming to her senses, she remembered the voice that sounded in her brain during the ceremony: “My name is the Devourer! Kill the priest! "
In October 1991, one of the US television channels broadcast a report about the expulsion of a demon from 16-year-old American Gina. On that day, about 40 percent of the country's viewers gathered in front of the televisions. Bishop Keith Silamons authorized such a show and accompanied it with the words: “The devil really exists. He is strong and has been active on the planet throughout the ages. "
Peter Johnson, a 50-year-old civil servant, was a model citizen. He lived a quiet life in South East England. He worked hard, loved gardening, and adored his wife Joan. There was nothing unusual in his life. But then Askinra came - a "demon" that had eaten into his soul and took control of Peter's life. “It was like there was something alien living inside my body,” says Peter. “I thought I was going crazy,” says Peter.
“Possession by demons has no good reason! This is a figment of the imagination of idiots and storytellers! " - many can subscribe to these words. But, oddly enough, exorcism is attracting more and more medical credibility and remains part of the religious mainstream.
Not so long ago, the Vatican University announced that they now hold special courses on the practical aspects of driving out evil spirits. British Channel Four filmed a real exorcism ritual. More than a hundred American medical schools have introduced a course in spiritual medicine. Increasingly, psychiatrists are referring their patients to private exorcists.
“I don't doubt for a moment that the spirit world is real,” says Dr. Sanderson. “I believe there are many types of spiritual entities that can penetrate us. Most often, the souls of dead people are found - they did not go to "heaven" and are looking for repose in the world of the living. "
The demon stated that he came from a "dark flame" and its main purpose was "to inflict pain." Askinra also expressed his intention - "I will be free only when I destroy HIM."
Before leaving our reality, the demon said, “I'm sorry, I didn't want this. Come and see me in my new place ... "
