Not only the schoolchildren of our country are familiar with the concept of the Unified State Examination, but also their parents. Everyone knows that this is a centrally organized holding of a unified state exam on the same day and at the same time for all secondary educational institutions of our state. Such an exam plays the role of both graduation and entrance exams for universities.

Its features are:

  • application of tasks of the same type;
  • a unified system for assessing examination papers.

The results of the state exam are recorded in the relevant document - a certificate, or, as it is commonly called by the people, a certificate. From it you can find out how many points, and in what subjects the graduate received. Also, anyone can retake the unified state exam in subsequent years.

Rules for conducting the exam in 2018

For several years now, the official information portal "USE.ru" has been operating, where anyone can get acquainted with the following information:

  • what is the unified state exam;
  • what are the rules for its implementation;
  • how many items are required;
  • Is there any news regarding the Unified State Examination by country and regions.

In addition, the portal contains a lot of useful information both for the participants of the state exam and for applicants to universities.

One of the important points in preparing for the unified state exam is familiarization with the rules for its conduct in 2018, which it is highly undesirable to violate. They include the following key points:

  1. Where and at what time the participants take exams - in centers specially equipped for this, the beginning of the tests is scheduled for all the same - at 10.00.
  2. Is it forbidden to leave the audience during the course of the test - you can leave accompanied by a responsible person, and only for a good reason (at this time, the work of the participant is handed over to the observer, who makes an appropriate note in it).
  3. How to fill out the examination form correctly - all entries are made with a black helium-paste pen (for example, an example of writing numbers and letters is given in the form), starting filling out the answer field from the first cell.
  4. How to correct the mistakes made - it is forbidden to paint over the field with a proofreader or erase with an eraser; a special field is provided for corrections on the form.
  5. Do I need documents to prove the identity of the participant - an identity document is required (most often this is a passport).
  6. What can be used during the state exam - rulers, calculators, protractors, reference materials (at tests in mathematics, physics, chemistry, geography, foreign languages).
  7. Is it possible to retake the state exam when receiving a low result - since last year this can be done in compulsory subjects.

If observers or organizers notice violations of the rules for conducting the exam, the violator will be asked to stop performing tasks and leave. In this case, a corresponding entry is made in the protocol of the state examination and in the examination form of the participant.

Innovations in the USE-2018

This year, the Ministry of Education decided to change some of the rules for passing the unified state exam:

  1. The number of attempts to retake tests in the main subjects (Russian language and mathematics) has been increased - up to 3 times a year, which depends on the desire of the participant himself.
  2. From KIMs in history, social studies, geography, computer science and ICT, questions that require an unambiguous choice of the correct answer have been excluded (this was already done in 2015 with assignments in two compulsory subjects).
  3. History is not given in the form of test questions, but in the form of an essay on the relevant topic.
  4. Universities themselves can increase the passing scores for admission, which should not be lower than the number of points officially established in the region.

Such an update of the rules in 2018, according to psychologists, will reduce the psychological burden on participants in state exams.

Subjects and tasks for the Unified State Exam-2018

Often, school graduates in our country ask the question: how many compulsory subjects are submitted to the exam in 2018? Experts answer: two - mathematics and Russian. Physics and a foreign language have not yet been introduced as mandatory this year, they can be chosen as long as you wish. In addition to the four listed, chemistry, computer science and ICT, biology, history, geography, social studies, and literature are also offered for delivery (these subjects are not mandatory).

Tasks for state tests are called KIM (control measuring materials). Their demos for all 11 subjects for 2018 can be found on the official website of the USE http://www.ege.edu.ru/ru/main/demovers/. But it should be borne in mind: only demos are collected here (starting from 2009)! They are for informational purposes, so that anyone who wishes can understand the structure of the tasks (that is, they have an idea of the form of the questions, their level of complexity, and the correctness of the written answers).

USE-2018 results and their validity period

Today, questions regarding the results of unified exams remain relevant for students of secondary educational institutions.

Information about the officially established minimum limits for USE scores for admission to universities in our state is provided on the website "USE.ru" http://www.ege.edu.ru/ru/universities-colleges/min_points_for/. You can also check the preliminary test results here.

As for the validity of the certificate with the results of state exams for admission, this period is 4 years (this rule was introduced in 2013). It is easy to calculate: the results of the USE for 2018 are valid until 2022, for 2019 - until 2023, and for 2020 - until 2024. After this period, there will again be a need to pass the unified state exam. It should be remembered that the validity period also takes into account the month of passing the tests, that is, if you passed them in May and June 2018, then in July 2022 the results will be invalid.

As part of our website, there is a special offer: you can use the advice of our corporate lawyer for free. All you need to do is to leave your question in the form below.

The author of the article is Anna Malkova.
This article does not replace the preparation for the exam on or with a tutor. But you will learn how to correctly allocate time on the profile exam in mathematics in order to get the maximum scores.

You, of course, saw in the collections for preparing for the exam recommendations to start with the simplest tasks, and then move on to complex ones. Previously, such a recommendation was also in the demo version of the profile exam in mathematics. Now it has been removed. Why?

If you came to the exam without knowing anything at all, then yes, you need to choose the simplest tasks from the option, where you can at least do something. But then it’s better to immediately choose the basic exam in mathematics and not suffer.

And if you want to pass profile mathematics for 100 points? Or at least 80-90?

Let's remember: if you are going for a high score, you need to solve the first 12 tasks of the profile exam in mathematics in half an hour. Correct and without errors. And have time to transfer the answers to the exam form. This is only achieved by training.

We check the answers and transfer them to the USE form immediately so as not to return to them 100 times.

And after 12 tasks with a short answer have been solved, we move on to the complex tasks of the specialized exam in mathematics. And these are tasks from 13 to 19.

This is where strategy matters. If you studied the entire 11th grade (or even the 10th grade) at the USE courses or with a tutor, you can easily solve three more problems:

No. 13 - equation,
No. 15 - inequality.
and No. 17 - economic.
This is algebra. It turns out for everyone. If there are 2 months before the Unified State Examination, you want to pass the profile Unified State Examination in mathematics for a high score, but do not solve these problems - urgently go to express preparation courses for the Unified State Examination! Because tutors are unlikely to have free time for you 2 months before the exam.

To solve these three problems in algebra - an hour. During this time, you need to have time to solve them, and check (for example, substitute the found roots into the equation), and draw up a solution on a clean copy.

Now you have about two and a half hours and 4 difficult tasks. And if you have already solved all the previous ones correctly, you scored about 70-75 points. Fine! Now the fun part!

We look at 4 difficult tasks of the specialized exam in mathematics.

This is Problem 14 - Stereometry.

Problem 16 - Geometry on a plane.

We talked in detail about each of these tasks when we wrote about the structure of the profile exam in mathematics.

What to do on the exam?
It is necessary to look at these 4 complex problems - Stereometry, Geometry, Parameters and Custom - with an experienced eye. If you have been studying at the USE courses all year or with a good tutor, then one of these tasks will definitely seem familiar and simple to you. You remember exactly how to solve it! We take and do. We decide, we check, we draw up a clean sheet. Then the next one. Keep track of time: two and a half hours for 4 difficult tasks is enough. It is important not to "hang"! If you don’t have any ideas for a solution for 10 minutes, move on to the next one.

The most "expensive" of these problems are numbers 18 and 19. They are estimated at 4 primary points each, and these 4 primary points are converted into 8-9 test points. So if you solved three out of four difficult problems on the profile exam in mathematics, you are a champion!

Good luck on your math exam!

Tell your friends!

The unified state exam, which is known to most schoolchildren and their parents under the abbreviation USE, is an important stage in the life of a young person, since it is his results that determine his opportunities for further education.

Determining the time for the exam

In the Russian Federation, there are mandatory exams, such as Russian language and mathematics, and exams that a student can take at their choice. The latter include, for example, geography, history, chemistry and other subjects. In total, more than 10 different school subjects can now be taken in the form of a unified state exam.

At the same time, the duration of the time period allotted for completing tasks for each of the subjects may vary. The specific duration of each type of exam is annually approved by the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor). At the same time, when determining the time allotted for each subject, Rosobrnadzor is guided by the complexity and amount of information required to successfully pass the exam in this subject, the nature of the examination tasks and other factors.

In addition, when setting the duration of the period of time allotted for the performance of tasks, sanitary and hygienic standards are also taken into account, including the norms of mental load for adolescents of the appropriate age. So, for example, in 2012, in accordance with the current sanitary norms and rules, the time for several exams was reduced by 5 minutes.

Time for the exam

All exam procedures usually begin at 10 am. However, the end time of the exam will depend on which subject the students are taking. So, the shortest period of time is allotted for completing examination tasks in such subjects as biology, geography, chemistry and foreign languages: the student is given 3 hours, that is, 180 minutes, to complete them.

A longer period of time is allotted for completing assignments in a number of humanitarian disciplines - the Russian language, history and social science. Students can reflect on their answers to questions in these subjects for 210 minutes, that is, 3.5 hours. Finally, mathematics, physics, computer science, and literature are considered the most difficult: students are given almost 4 hours to complete tasks in these subjects, or rather, 235 minutes.

At the same time, the time required for preparatory operations, for example, opening envelopes with assignments, instructing schoolchildren to fill out forms and other procedures, is not included in the total

USE 2017 changes associated with this final exam is one of the most relevant for many topics. After all, you must admit that every year graduates of 9th and 11th grades are waiting for some innovations and changes, and sometimes not for the better. At present, it is officially known that various reforms await the country, which will be connected not only with the political and economic industry, but also with the education system, and, to be more precise, with the Unified State Examination.

What to expect?

It is no secret to anyone that in the very near future the country is expected to undergo major changes and transformations related to the education system.

First of all, it will touch and affect the issue of passing the exam.

It is these changes and innovations that we should expect in the very near future. But you must admit, as elsewhere, any transformation has its pros and cons. Let's look at the promising pluses, as there are already enough minuses and shortcomings in this direction.

Advantages of new reforms.

    1. All presented changes and innovations will not be introduced into the school system immediately, but gradually.
    2. Based on the results of the reform, the system of vocational education will have good prospects for its further existence and development.
    3. The certificate will completely depend on the points scored by the student on the exam.
    4. In the near future, it is expected to increase compulsory subjects to 6, and, therefore, this gives students a greater opportunity for further admission and the implementation of their plans.
    5. Examinations at each level of education, that is, after grades 4, 9 and 11, contribute to the development of such qualities in students as responsibility, discipline and order.

The duration of the exam in subjects in 2017.

According to the regulations established and prescribed by law, for each individual item, its own specific time limit is prescribed and set. It is worth saying that in some cases, the amount of time allotted for the delivery of items may differ by only 5-10 minutes. Although, each subject should be given at least 180 minutes, but everything directly depends on the structure of the subject. For example, such oral exams as foreign languages, chemistry, biology, geography - no more than 3 hours are allotted and assigned for their delivery, but for mathematics, Russian, physics, computer science, literature - at least 4 hours. To date, there is no information yet regarding how long the exam will last, so there is a fairly high probability that the amount of time allotted will remain the same as it was last year. Namely:

    1. Mathematics - 235 minutes.
    2. Russian language - 210 minutes.
    3. Social science - 210 minutes.
    4. Physics - 235 minutes.
    5.History - 210 minutes.
    6. Biology - 180 minutes.
    7. Chemistry - 180 minutes.
    8.Computer science - 235 minutes.
    9. Literature - 235 minutes.
    10. Geography - 180 minutes.
    11. Foreign languages - 180 minutes.

As can be seen from the presented table, the difference is actually not quite significant.

Passing scores for subjects.

As well as the time allotted for the subject, each of the declared disciplines has its own passing score, the minimum threshold. It is worth saying that this item of the USE undergoes various changes every year. What should we expect in the new year in terms of the main and most popular and frequently rented subjects?

  • First, the Russian language. Here the minimum threshold is 36 points.
  • Secondly, mathematics. Regarding the profile course, the passing level is 27 points, but the basic one is 36.
  • Thirdly, social science - 42 points.
  • Fourth, English - 22 points.
  • Fifth, history. Here, the minimum passing threshold is and totals 32 points.

I would like to believe that the changes in the USE 2017 will only benefit and have a positive effect on the entire exam, because the exam is always a big responsibility, and constant innovations sometimes lead to confusion, and sometimes even distract graduates from more thorough preparation, since they do not know what to expect.

Developers of examination tasks answered the most frequent questions of graduates

One of the two required exams (the other is mathematics) that all students take. This year, graduates will write an exam in the Russian language on the birthday of A. S. Pushkin, June 6. If the result is too low, then you can try to retake the exam on a reserve day - June 26, or in an additional period - 4 September. What do you need to know about the exam in order to pass it with the maximum score on the first try?

1. How many points can I get on the Unified State Examination in the Russian language?

For the correct performance of all tasks of the examination paper, you can get a maximum of 58 primary points. For a well-written essay, you can get 24 points.

To receive a high school diploma, you must score a minimum of 24 points. And if an eleventh-grader plans to enter a university, and it doesn’t matter what specialty, the exam must be passed at least 36 points.

2. How much time is given to complete all tasks?

210 minutes, or 3.5 hours, are allotted to complete the examination paper in the Russian language.

3. What knowledge will be tested at the Unified State Examination in the Russian language?

The tasks of the examination paper in the Russian language test the knowledge of the norms of text construction, lexical, spelling, punctuation, grammatical norms of the modern Russian literary language, the ability to create a text based on what has been read.

4. What tasks does the exam version consist of?

Each version of the USE examination paper in the Russian language consists of two parts and includes 26 tasks that differ in form and level of complexity.

Part 1 contains 25 tasks with a short answer (open-type tasks for recording a self-formulated correct answer and tasks for choosing and recording one correct answer from the proposed list of answers).

The tasks of the first part check the assimilation of the educational material by the participants of the exam both at the basic and at the high levels of complexity: the last type includes tasks that test the possession of grammatical norms (task 7), the ability to find means of connecting sentences in the text (task 24) and those used in the text language means of expression (task 25).

Part 2 contains one task (task 26) - according to the read text. Performing this task, the examinee must demonstrate the ability to analyze the content and problems of the read text, comment on the problem of the source text, determine the position of the author of the text, express and argue their own opinion, consistently and logically express thoughts, use various grammatical forms and lexical richness of the language in speech, formulate statements in accordance with the spelling, punctuation, grammatical and speech norms of the modern Russian literary language.

An essay can be written by an examinee at any level of difficulty (basic, advanced, high).

5. This year there was a new task number 20. What does it check?

Task number 20 will test the knowledge of the lexical norms of the Russian literary language. The assignment will be worth 1 point.

The task will be given in two versions:

  • as an exception, that is, it will be necessary to remove the extra word;
  • in the form of a replacement, that is, the word will need to be replaced.

Execution algorithm: first you need to find a semantic (semantic) contradiction in the sentence, isolate the error and complete the task, correcting this error.

6. What is the difficulty of completing task number 7?

The task sounds like this: "Make a correspondence between grammatical errors and sentences in which they are made."

There are three types, but the exam will only need to identify morphological and syntactical errors.

Morphological errors:

  • incorrect use of the case form of a noun with a preposition;
  • incorrect use of the noun.

Syntax errors:

  • violation of the connection between the subject and the predicate;
  • violation of the species-temporal correlation of verb forms;
  • an error in constructing a sentence with homogeneous members;
  • incorrect construction of sentences with adverbial turnover;
  • violation in the construction of a sentence with participial turnover;
  • violation in the construction of a proposal with an inconsistent application;
  • incorrect sentence construction with indirect speech;
  • an error in the construction of a complex sentence.

Before proceeding with the task, the authors of the examination tasks are advised to carefully read all the sentences.

7. What is the difference between an essay in the Unified State Examination in the Russian language (task No. 26)?

To successfully write an essay based on the text you have read, developers are advised to adhere to the following plan:

  • formulate one of the problems posed by the author of the text;
  • write a commentary on this problem, including two examples-illustrations from the read text, which are important for understanding and arguing the problem;
  • indicate the author's position;
  • Express your personal attitude to what you have read, supporting your opinion with two literary arguments.

But following this plan is strictly optional. In a good essay, thoughtful composition is important. You can limit yourself to three basic parts: introduction, main part and conclusion. And you can include other parts with their own microthemes in each.

Developer Tips:

  • You need to think over the composition only after the problem raised by the author in the text is identified. It is important not to confuse the topic and the problem of the text.
  • It is desirable to use as arguments products from .
  • You can use modern and foreign literature as arguments.
  • You can rely on non-classical genres of literature (detective story or thriller), but the chosen argument must be presented precisely as an argument.
  • A reference to a feature film is not a literary argument, even if it is a film adaptation.
  • Popular science articles and books can be used as a literary argument.

8. How does the level of difficulty of the task affect the final score?

Among the tasks of the basic level of complexity, there are tasks with a low percentage of completion - you should pay special attention to them. These are tasks that check the spelling -Н- and -НН- in various parts of speech (task 14), punctuation marks in a complex sentence with different types of connections (task 19), knowledge of functional semantic types of speech (task 22).

9. What must be taken into account in order to get the maximum score?

In general, all the necessary advice and explanations are given in the instructions for performing work before the CMM option. Therefore, you should carefully read the instructions for the option and the specific task. Following these tips will allow you to more rationally organize the work on the exam. In addition to the general instructions, in each part of the work recommendations are given on how to write down the answer to tasks of one type or another. Please read the instructions for each type of assignment carefully before completing the assignments.

10. How to fill in the examination form correctly?

Practice has shown that it is better to enter the answers first in the KIM, and then carefully transfer them to the answer form No. 1 to the right of the number of the corresponding task, starting from the first cell, without spaces, commas and other additional characters. Answers to tasks are written without unnecessary additions (a term, concept, keyword or combination of words from the text is written, etc.).

It is better to first write down the answer to task 26 on a draft, and then rewrite it in form No. 2. The essay should be written clearly, in legible handwriting. Entries in drafts are not taken into account when processing and checking work.
