One of the youngest institutions of higher education in Russia is Yugra State University. It is located in Khanty-Mansiysk and offers applicants secondary vocational, higher and additional education. The university was created on the basis of previously existing educational institutions. He adopted from them the traditions that are important in the training of specialists, and combined them with modern technologies that make the educational process as effective and interesting as possible for students.

The emergence of the university

The Government of this subject of the Russian Federation thought about the creation of a higher educational institution in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra. It stated that the population needs quality educational services. Yugra State University, like any other educational institution, has a complex and multi-level structure. The management of the educational organization is carried out by the rector's office, academic and board of trustees. Humanitarian Institute

This structural unit, which has been functioning at the university since its inception, is designed to provide students with a quality liberal arts education. The Institute prepares highly qualified specialists from ordinary schoolchildren who are capable of teaching, conducting scientific research and successfully working in the business space.

That is why Yugra State University created the Institute of the Peoples of the North. Its purpose is to study, revive, preserve and develop the cultural heritage of indigenous peoples.

The Institute of the Peoples of the North works in several directions. Firstly, he is engaged in the popularization of ethno-cultural traditions. The university began work on the basis of previously existing educational institutions: the All-Russian State Tax Academy, the Nizhnevartovsk State Pedagogical Institute, the Siberian Automobile and Road Academy, the Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics and the Tyumen State Agricultural Academy. Simultaneously with the formation of the university, the construction of the main complex of educational buildings began, primarily the library, classrooms and the university catering center.

The first enrollment of students to the new university was made in 2002, almost 500 students enrolled in the first full-time course, 100 by correspondence. However, due to the transfer of students from pre-existing universities, almost 2.5 thousand full-time students studied at the university and absentee form. In 2002-2003, education at the university was conducted at six faculties: finance and economics, engineering, computer science and applied mathematics, arts, environmental management and philology. In 2002, the Center for Additional Education at the South State University began to work.

In 2005, the number of students at the university was already more than 5,000 people. By this year, two institutes stand out in the structure of South State University on the basis of the financial, economic and philological faculties - economics and finance; language, history and culture of the peoples of Yugra. New faculties appear - humanitarian, legal and physical culture, sports and tourism. In the same year, the construction of a sports and recreation complex at the South State University and two more student dormitories began. Branches are opened in Beloyarsky, Megion, Yugorsk, Nefteyugansk, Nyagan and Nizhnevartovsk. In 2008, a new modern building of the sports complex was put into operation.

In the summer of 2010, a structural reorganization was carried out, abolishing all previously existing institutes and faculties and approving six large institutions: humanitarian, polytechnic, environmental management, management and economics, management systems and information technology, as well as correspondence and additional education.

Story

It was founded in 2001 on the basis of branches of educational institutions that previously existed in Khanty-Mansiysk: the Tyumen State Agricultural Academy, the Nizhnevartovsk State Pedagogical Institute, the Siberian Automobile and Road Academy, the Tyumen State Agricultural Academy and the All-Russian State Tax Academy. YuGU became the first university of federal subordination in the region.

In 2003, a new main building was built for the university, which became the tallest building in Khanty-Mansiysk at that time.

In 2007, the following GOU SPO was included in the university: Nizhnevartovsk Oil College, Surgut Oil College, Lyantor Oil College, Nefteyugansk Industrial College, which became its branches.

In the course of the formation of the university, a significant emphasis was placed on using the opportunities of enterprises and research institutes that existed in the region in the process of teaching students. In particular, the previously existing Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics conducted training on the basis of the Yugorsk Research Institute of Information Technologies.

In 2013, Yugra State University became the center for attracting and preparing volunteers for the Sochi Olympics.

The university is located in 5 buildings on the street. Chekhov, all of which are interconnected: 4 of them are educational, 1 is administrative. The university also includes a sports and recreation complex with classrooms, an indoor pool and gyms.

Yugra State University is one of the youngest state universities in Russia. It trains specialists for various professional fields: economic, legal, humanitarian, technical, IT and natural sciences.

The university was founded in 2001 on the basis of the Khanty-Mansiysk branches.

With its appearance, YuSU solved the problem of training specialists with higher education in the region. Now he is training in 21 areas of undergraduate and specialist studies in the economic, legal, humanitarian, technical, IT and natural science fields.

The Scientific and Educational Center "Environmental Dynamics and Global Climate Change" operates, which includes the UNESCO Chair and the International Field Station. The Center works with environmental projects in the region, the country and the world, holds forums, festivals and educational programs for students.

SSU has a strong corporate student culture and many dedicated student departments. In its structure there are a career guidance department and an employment department that help the student choose the path of his career.

The United Council of Students and the Center for Student Initiatives work. They implement public projects, organize trainings and master classes, and volunteer. In the Student Sports Center, 11 sports sections are available to students.
