Helps small and medium-sized businesses to do business and develop

About relationships with colleagues

I managed to work in four branches of UniCredit Bank. We were great friends with all our colleagues, we talked with pleasure during the day and rested together after work. Now we periodically go to the cinema and entertainment centers, walk in parks, play frisbee and, of course, celebrate various holidays with the whole team. I like that people in the company are always trying to help each other - both in work and in life. This is very unifying. For example, I still communicate with employees of all departments where I worked.

About rewarding high results

Motivation is very important, and the bank understands this very well. All UniCredit Bank employees know that if they work efficiently, then the remuneration will be worthy. Various competitions are constantly held in the company, and people are encouraged with excellent gifts for outstanding achievements. It could be football tickets, electronics tickets, or even a trip to Italy. And I also really appreciate that the bank takes care not only of me, but also of my family. Free insurance applies to children.

What keeps you in the company

I have been working at UniCredit Bank for five years already, and every year I want to stay here more and more. I gain experience, my social circle expands, acquaintances from other banks appear. You listen to what other companies' employees have to say and start comparing. I perfectly see all the advantages of UniCredit Bank and I understand that it is not for nothing that we occupy leading places in the ratings of employers. Moreover, our position only increases over time. And I see how rarely employees leave us. And those who leave often come back. I think that says a lot.

Manages all processes of the branch

About motivation

I have been working at UniCredit Bank for 14 years. Initially, I was attracted by ambitious tasks: I was offered to lead a department, which I had never done before, and set the difficult goal of creating a new customer base from scratch. It was a little scary, but very interesting. A few years later, I thought about leaving the bank, but then a new challenge appeared before me: I was offered to become a branch manager. I am always kept at UniCredit Bank by the fact that interesting and caring people work here. The company gives freedom to those who are passionate about their business and can bring something new. We have a very productive and open atmosphere and a democratic team.

About the habit of listening to other people's opinions

I motivate people to voice their ideas. Employees of any level can discuss their proposals and problems. We often collect the opinions of specialists who work in a particular block: what, in their opinion, should be changed, what can be made more convenient, what needs to be added or, on the contrary, removed. People express their proposals, and then we are implementing them. It happens that employees argue with me, and quite emotionally. I believe that truth is born in a dispute, and I love it when there are different opinions. So you can look at the issue from different angles and avoid subjectivity.

About trust

My entire team was selected according to the principle of indifference, dedication, ambition. These are people who are interested in what they do. You can rely on them to complete any task they undertake. If I know that the employee has enough knowledge and skills, then I will not set a rigid framework. At the same time, I prefer to distance myself from the project for a while and not monitor how a person solves problems.

Responsible for working with problem borrowers

About the advantages of the company

UniCredit Bank is a great place to work. Moreover, I have something to compare with - before that I worked in three more different banks. A unique corporate culture has developed here. It keeps people in the company and motivates them to overcome the difficulties and obstacles encountered in any job. I like the friendly atmosphere in the team, the opportunity to develop not only professionally, but also personally. My colleagues and I do yoga and learn English together. And it's not at all difficult for us to find a common language, despite the fact that we are all very different.

About freedom and support

The company has the opportunity to independently manage projects and achieve results. This is definitely a plus. You can realize yourself and at the same time you always feel the support of the leadership. Even if you have a large and significant project for which you are fully responsible, you know that at any moment you can come to the manager and he will help you solve the problem. So, despite the freedom of action, we are not alone and can always count on help. This is very valuable to me.

About the team

The relations in our team are democratic. We communicate freely on work and non-work topics. It happens that an employee comes to me to ask for advice on resolving a particular life situation. The main thing that helps me create a favorable atmosphere in the team and successfully achieve goals is the maximum involvement of people in the processes. I always find time to explain to an employee the connection between his work and global processes within the bank. Thus, the employee feels his importance and involvement in the common cause.

Serves clients in the department

About choosing a company

The first time I tried to get into UniCredit Bank as a student. But one of the requirements was a completed higher education, so I was advised to complete my studies and gain some experience. But on the second attempt everything succeeded. The bank has always attracted me because it is very stable. He has an excellent reputation in the market, he fulfills his obligations to employees. I had friends who worked here, and they all spoke very well of the company. Stable career advancement, bonuses and salaries always without delays, different bonuses. I have not seen such conditions anywhere.

About the first days at the bank

The first impression of a new job is very important. I liked it here immediately. I was very warmly received, I met everyone on the very first day. I was lucky to have a leader. He helped, prompted who to call in a given situation. I noticed that any issues in the company are resolved quickly, and problems, even of a personal nature, can always be discussed openly. By the way, we have an inner joke. From time to time someone wants to know the schedule and asks: "How do we work tomorrow?" And one of my colleagues likes to answer: "With pleasure!" I am sure this is the key to success.

About what attracts in work

I'm a stress-resistant person, so I like to solve problems that not everyone can take on. The bank has a huge number of tools for different situations, and I like that I can quickly select the right one and deal with the client's problem. In addition, I really like the culture of communication between employees. Everyone here is friendly. It's no secret that in many companies a spirit of competition reigns, when everyone is for himself, people decide all issues based on their personal interests, and do not try to help each other. We have nothing like this. We are a team.

The credit organization was established back in 1989 as the International Moscow Bank (IMB) on the basis of a decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR. In 1991, the Bank of Russia received general license No. 1. IMB became the first Russian bank with foreign capital participation. Its founders included three domestic banks (Vnesheconombank - 20%, Sberbank - 10%, Promstroybank - 10%) and five western banks (Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank (HVB), Creditanstalt-Bankverein, BancaCommercialeItaliana, CreditLyonnais and Kansallis-Osaki-Pankki ), each of which owned 12%. In June 1994, VEB withdrew from the IMB shareholders. Its shares were distributed between two new shareholders - Vneshtorgbank and BCEN-Eurobank (at that time the French subsidiary bank of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation).

In 2001, IMB took over the Russian subsidiary Bank Austria, which in 2005 became part of the UniCredit * group. By the end of 2006, UniCredit, through its subsidiary Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG, had consolidated 90.03% of IMB shares, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development owned another 9.97% (almost 5% of voting) shares. In July 2007, the UniCredit group completed the acquisition of an EBRD stake and became the owner of 100% of IMB shares. In accordance with the rebranding program of the banks included in the UniCredit group in Eastern Europe, in December 2007 the bank was renamed into UniCredit (since the end of 2014 - AO UniCredit Bank).

Until October 2016, the only shareholder of the bank was UniCredit Bank Austria AG, the ultimate beneficiary of which is UniCredit S.p.A. Currently UniCredit S.p.A. directly owns 100% of shares of JSC Unicredit Bank. All shares of UniCredit S.p.A. are in public circulation.

At present, UniCredit Bank is actively developing its retail business and branch network; it also calls servicing small and medium-sized businesses one of its priorities. As of September 30, 2018, the bank's network consisted of 13 branches, ten representative offices in the Russian Federation and one representative office in the Republic of Belarus. In general, the bank had 102 subdivisions in the Russian Federation, the total number of employees was about 4 thousand people.

According to the annual report, the bank served over 27.8 thousand corporate and about 2 million private clients as of December 31, 2017. Including the number of clients - small and medium-sized businesses in 2017 exceeded 22 thousand. In May 2013, UniCredit signed an agreement on the merger of ATM networks with Raiffeisenbank and Uralsib Bank. Now cardholders of Raiffeisenbank, Uralsib and UniCredit Bank cards have the opportunity to withdraw cash and find out the balance on cards without additional fees at ATMs of any of these credit institutions throughout Russia. The united network includes more than 6 thousand devices. According to the information on the UniCredit Bank website, its cardholders also have the opportunity to withdraw cash on standard terms from ATMs of Credit Bank of Moscow. In addition, the clients of the Russian "UniCredit" can withdraw cash from the devices of banks of the UniCredit group in 18 more countries of its presence on the same conditions as in Russia.

The bank is one of the leaders in the car lending market (including working under government subsidized programs), occupying a position in the top 5 largest players in this segment (data from the annual report for 2017). The list of loan products also includes credit cards, consumer loans and mortgages (including mortgage refinancing). In addition, the bank is actively developing investment products for private clients.

Since the beginning of 2018, the volume of net assets of a credit institution has shown a slight increase by 3.0% and amounted to 1.3 trillion rubles by October 2018. Over the indicated period, the growth in liabilities was funded mainly by client funds, mainly by short-term deposits of corporate clients (to a lesser extent - by deposits of individuals). In addition, the bank's equity capital showed a slight growth. The growth in these liabilities made it possible to compensate for the redemption of almost a quarter of attracted interbank loans and more than 60% of issued bonds. In assets, the main growth was shown by the loan portfolio (+ 10.3%), while not only the liquidity attracted from clients was directed to lending, but also funds from the sale of securities, the portfolio of which decreased by 26%.

The bank is characterized by a high dependence on the funds of legal entities: in the passive part of the balance sheet, their share is 47.6% as of the reporting date (602.4 billion rubles). During the period under review, corporate clients' funds showed an increase of 5.1% due to the attraction of short-term deposits (for periods of up to six months), which also made it possible to repay almost a third of long-term deposits (over three years). Funds of the population form 17.7% of net liabilities (+ 4.2% in volume since the beginning of 2018) and are quite well diversified in terms of terms, represented by balances on current and card accounts, as well as deposits of various maturities. A slightly smaller share is accounted for by equity capital. According to the Central Bank's methodology, it includes a subordinated loan in the amount of 480.9 million US dollars, attracted from Unicredit Bank Austria AG, with maturity in March 2025.

Interbank loans attracted by the bank - 6.2%, of which about 60% were attracted for various periods from non-resident banks (members of the parent group), and the rest - from Russian counterparties, mainly for periods of up to six months. The share of issued bonds and balances on Loro correspondent accounts in aggregate does not exceed 1%. The bank's customer base is large and active, the turnover on customer accounts in the last months of the study period was stable in the range of 5-6 trillion rubles per month. It is worth noting that the bank demonstrates a high concentration of its client portfolio on the largest clients: ten of them accounted for about 39% of the total amount of customer funds under IFRS as of September 30, 2018 (44% as of December 31, 2017).

In the composition of net assets, 60.7% falls on the loan portfolio, issued by interbank loans - 18.5%, investments in securities - 7.6%, highly liquid assets - 3.8%, investments in the capital of other organizations - 0.6% , fixed assets and other assets - 8.8% in total.

The loan portfolio is 81% formed by loans to legal entities, the rest is retail lending, including loans to small and medium-sized businesses. The total loan portfolio as of the reporting date amounted to RUB 769.4 billion, having increased by 10.3% since the beginning of 2018, mainly due to the dominant corporate portfolio (+ 10.1%), although the retail portfolio also showed a similar growth in relative terms (+ 11.3%). Loans are mainly issued for a long-term period. Overdue debt is shown at a moderate level - 4.7% (at the beginning of 2018 - 5.2%). The level of provisioning is 7.6% as of the reporting date (7.9%). At the same time, property provided 146.2% of the loan portfolio (132.1%).
