Will you try to survive or will you die immediately? Well, it's time to find out with amazing cards for MCPE in SkyBlock style! In this post, I will show you 5 of the best SkyBlock themed maps that make more sense than one floating block. Compatible with iOS, Android and Windows 10 versions of the game! These maps will work with other versions of Minecraft 1.1.5.

island in the sky

This is my favorite card! You start playing with a simple square SkyBlock island and a house. Inside the house you will find villagers who will sell you tools, blocks and other things. Really good card!

skychunk

This is a really deep skyblock map! Legends say that there are treasures in some caves. Don't forget to set the difficulty to maximum and play Survival mode!

Sky Survival Islands - survival islands ...

You will spawn on a regular patch of grass. You will immediately notice other floating islands, each with their own biomes and unique loot.

You need to use whatever survival skills you have to survive as long as possible. If you are determined to survive (which is required), I highly recommend finding ways to explore other islands as they will provide you with the necessary resources for your survival. Have fun!

Trading Skyblock - trade to survive!

And this is also a skyblock map, but with trade. The map uses , as well as some clever tricks that allow you to access a shop that can be used to buy and sell items that are obtained on the sky islands.

And if you find a way to survive and gather enough resources, you will eventually be able to travel to the End and fight the Ender Dragon. I don't like it as much as the first card. Here you need to travel between the regular world and the customized The End, trading with the inhabitants.

Mega skyblock

Last, but not the worst, SkyBlock map with a different style of floating islands. Each with their own biome.

The Mega Skyblock map is slightly different from the usual simple island survival challenge, as it includes fourteen different islands(not just one) that the player must explore in order to complete the map. Each island symbolizes a biome or dimension and provides you with new materials that you can use to survive.

The player spawns on an island that contains only the most basic resources needed to survive. Open the chest to find some items. Remember to use them sparingly as there is no way to return any of the items if you lose or break them.

There are 14 different islands and on each of them you can find new resources you need for your survival.

I hope you enjoyed this selection of maps, if so, be sure to leave a comment and check out our other maps in the corresponding section! Also, these maps will work in future versions of MCPE.

Skyblock is a map where you start on a small island floating in an endless void world. There are no blocks below you, no resources other than the small island you are standing on. Before you start you should know how to make a cobblestone generator to survive and expand your island.

In classic Skyblock by Noobcrew, most of the resources are not available. It is impossible to go to Hell or the Nether, zombie villagers cannot be healed and traded with them. No clay, emeralds and much more was simply impossible to obtain.

This map has nine mini-islands that use their own loot tables. Each of the islands is a separate biome. These are ice spikes, desert, jungle, forest, flower forest, mushroom island, extreme hills and swamps. You start in a flat biome.

There are three versions of this map: Easy, Medium/Challenge and Hard. We recommend starting with an easy one and completing all the challenges, which you can read more about under the spoiler

Easy version:

  1. Create a cobblestone generator
  2. Make a 15x15 platform
  3. Plant 10 seedlings at once
  4. Make an endless source of water
  5. Build a marble darkroom
  6. Upgrade to a simple water jet mill
  7. Plant melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, sugarcane and cactus

  5. Bring the villagers to the closed room with the wheat farm. And make sure they multiply.
  6. Wait until the iron golems appear and kill five of them. They must be on fire at the time of death and killed by the player. They will drop 2 obsidian each, which is enough to send you to Hell.
  7. Create a portal to the End. Light it up with either flint, steel (get gravel from escarpments in the ice spikes biome) or fire from lava.
  8. Bake cookies, pumpkin pie and bread and grill meat (one of each)
  9. Sell something to a villager and get an emerald

    SkyBlock is one of the survival maps for Minecraft where you play and build on an island in the air. The goal is to survive without cheats, expand possessions, create food. There are many variations of this map, but the original one focuses on a floating island in an ice biome.

    Description and rules of the map

    At the beginning of the game, you are given the following materials:

    • 26 blocks of land;
    • 1 oak;
    • 1 chest;
    • 1 lava bucket;
    • 1 block of ice.

    You can play SkyBlock alone or in multiplayer mode. The difficulty level is not set here, although it must be at least “Easy” in order to make it interesting to play and not too easy. The map will distract from other Minecraft worlds.

    You can go through it quickly or slowly, but you should follow the rules:

    1. Don't build a bridge to the mainland;
    2. Don't jump off the island;
    3. Use the difficulty level from Easy and above;
    4. Don't use cheats.

    SkyBlock's goal is not to build a bridge to the mainland and replenish its supplies from there, although such a development seems tempting. On the contrary, the players must stay on the island. It is possible to put supplies in a chest and jump off the island, however the challenge of this card is to grow your own food to prevent starvation. In this world, it is not allowed to enable cheats to fly or spawn elsewhere. Cheats make SkyBlock tasks too easy and uninteresting.

    SkyBlock Map Quests

    Completing these quests does not provide any rewards other than a sense of pride. Players are not required to complete all objectives, but many of them are directly related to survival.

    Each task can be completed using materials that are on the island and available to the player. The list of competitions is as follows:

    47. Craft 10 Stone Pressure Plates
    48. Craft 10 Wooden Pressure Plates
    49. Collect 64 Bone Meal
    50. Create 20 cobblestone steps

    Each task completed leads to the start of another; for example, crafting a cobblestone generator yields cobblestones that can be used to build a house. Tasks do not have to be completed in a specific order, but they are listed in the table in order of priority for survival. Although, you may have your own opinion on this order.

    1. Create a cobblestone generator

    Cobblestones are formed by the confluence of lava and water; the generator gives an unlimited supply of cobblestones using exactly these components. When you start playing on SkyBlock, you will find a bucket of lava and a block of ice in the chest. For creating simple generator cobblestones do the following steps:

    • bury one block and place ice on top of it;
    • bury two blocks to the right of the ice block;
    • place a block of earth
    • dig one block and place lava on top

    After creating the generator, break the ice block. The ice will turn into water and it will fall into a nearby hole two blocks deep. The third block of earth should not be the only separator between water and lava. By destroying a block of earth, you will force water and lava to combine, resulting in a block of cobblestone.

    A properly crafted cobblestone generator provides an infinite supply of cobblestone.

    2. Building a house

    Having made a supply of cobblestones, you can start building a house. Since the supply of cobblestones is unlimited, this is the most convenient material to use, which can later be changed to something more interesting.

    The size of the house does not matter as long as the bed and other items fit in it.

    A cobblestone house will protect you from hostile mobs. Important materials can be kept in the house - crafting tables, furnace and chest.

    3. Island expansion

    The presence of a cobblestone generator allows you to expand the island with their help and get additional space for future projects. More importantly, land will be needed to build farms and get food. The sooner the expansion of the island and the collection of land begins, the better. You will need to get inside the island to collect every available block of land.

    Some players prefer to create a waterfall over the edge of the island and build a platform underground. Choose the method you like, as long as you don't lose ground in the process.

    4. Craft a bed

    Beds are an important item in SkyBlock. If you die during the game, there is no guarantee that you will be reborn on the island. It may take up to 8-10 respawns before you get to the island again. With a bed, you can set a spawn point and avoid such problems.

    Crafting a bed will not cause problems if you have enough wool from sheared sheep.

    Although you don't need to sleep, you can use thread to create wool. When night falls, go hunting for spiders in the places where they are found on the island. Killed spiders drop thread. This becomes even easier when there is a mob spawning platform (more on crafting it below).

    It is not difficult to craft wool from threads. Hunt spiders instead of shearing sheep.

    It is possible to survive on rotten flesh, but why is it necessary? Growing wheat will help ensure a steady supply of food. Wheat grows a couple game days and can be crafted into bread, which restores six hunger points.

    Wheat seeds can be taken from tall grass: if you place earth blocks in squares and let the grass grow and spread, you will have a permanent supply of seeds.

    Mowing grass often yields wheat seeds, making grass an invaluable resource.

    Carrot satisfies hunger better than wheat, but at first it is not in SkyBlock, and you can only get it if it falls out of a killed zombie.

    6. Create a Pumpkin Farm

    pumpkins are not necessary subject, but a small farm wouldn't hurt. Since Minecraft 1.4.2 update, players can use pumpkins to create pumpkin pie- it restores 8 hunger points (more bread).

    To create a pie, you need one pumpkin, one sugar and one egg.

    Sugar is extracted from sugar cane, eggs are laid by hens. Chickens can spawn in SkyBlock by building a platform 24 blocks from the house. Place all the earth blocks on this platform and let the grass grow. When all the earth blocks are covered with grass, chickens start spawning.

    7. Start a sugar cane farm

    The sugar cane in SkyBlock has no other purpose than to provide sugar for pumpkin pie. Until recently, players could complete the quest to create a bookcase using sugarcane paper and cowhide; Animal spawn rates have now been significantly reduced, so cows and sheep are much less likely to spawn on the island. Chickens and pigs continue to spawn quite often if there are enough grass blocks.

    8. Create an oven

    The furnace is created using eight blocks of cobblestone on a workbench. Furnaces are used to burn blocks and turn them into other items. For example, iron ore can only be turned into iron in a furnace.

    Go to the workbench and make a furnace.

    In SkyBlock, stoves are important for making charcoal and cooking. There is nowhere to mine coal in SkyBlock and it is obtained by burning blocks of wood in a furnace.

    You will see flames and wood will turn into charcoal. Use it to create torches.

    9. Create torches

    Torches are important for defense against mobs. As the island expands, everything becomes more space for the appearance of mobs at night, especially if there are no light sources. Too much a large number of hostile mobs can lead to disaster, especially if the house is not protected.

    To create torches, you need sticks and pieces of coal or charcoal.

    Place the torch next to the block of water so that the latter does not turn into a block of ice. Since the SkyBlock map is in an ice biome, water can freeze.

    10. Create stone slabs

    Mobs cannot spawn on half a slab. At the same time, the material of the slab does not matter, whether it is cobblestone, stone, wood, etc.

    Slabs are created by placing three identical building components in a row on a crafting table; three cobblestones in a row will create a cobblestone slab.

    Before building and expanding an island, use slabs to prevent zombies, creepers, and skeletons from spawning. Placing other blocks on the slabs again makes it possible for mobs to spawn.

    11. Create an endless water source

    An infinite source of water can be natural or player-created. The simplest way create an infinite source of water - creates a 3 x 1 rectangle of water. By choosing water from the middle block, you get an unlimited supply. Water is needed for farms and creating waterfalls. You can also create a lake from the water and fish.

    12. Create a small lake

    The lake provides an even larger endless source of water and serves as a source of fish. If nothing worked out with wheat, melon and pumpkin, fish can be another source of food.

    When there is a lake, you need a fishing rod:

    To create it, three sticks are required, placed diagonally, with two threads at the end.

    To fish, right-click on the lake. When the float goes under water (with a splash sound), right-click again.

    13. Create a mob spawning platform

    Building a personal mob spawner is a great way to get necessary materials like rotten flesh, bones and arrows. Build a platform 24 blocks from the house, surrounding it with a fence.

    A good option is to create one platform on top of another with a hole in the middle through which the mobs will fall down; if the platform is high enough, mobs die from falling, loot falls out of them, which remains only to be picked up. The bottom platform can be made from slabs to prevent spawning so that all mobs spawn on top.

    14. Collect arrows and create a bow

    Once you have a mob spawning platform, collect arrows from the skeletons. You can't craft a bow without having arrows, and crafting arrows in SkyBlock isn't possible because it requires a stick, feather, and flint.

    Feathers and sticks can be obtained from wood and chickens, flint must be mined in gravel, which is not in SkyBlock. This makes skeletons the only source of arrows.

    Once you have your arrows, craft a bow out of three sticks and three strands. Now the island can be defended from a distance.

    15. Collect bone meal

    Trees, wheat and other vegetation do not grow quickly, and sometimes there is no time. Using bonemeal on seedlings, wheat, and other vegetation allows them to regrow instantly, although it may take several tries.

    Bone meal is crafted from skeleton bones, so again a mob spawner is needed.

    Bonemeal is also useful for growing grass and more grains of wheat for planting or feeding chickens. It is also needed to grow giant mushrooms in dark locations like the End.

    16. Creation and activation of the End portal

    From the SkyBlock map, you can go to the End. However, even there you will get to the island in the air. Hitting the End opens up additional opportunities; you can create a platform for the pigman to spawn and grow them for gold nuggets.

    We have already talked about it in detail.

    Then they can be turned into gold bars, suitable for crafting other items. You can create golden armor, tools and weapons. Gold nuggets can be used to create golden apples from regular ones on the crafting table. Golden Apples restores 4 health points, granting regeneration for 5 seconds.

    17. Create giant red mushrooms

    edge is great place for growing giant mushrooms. They are obtained by using bonemeal on red or brown mushrooms. Destroying these mushrooms gives a variety of mushrooms from which they are grown: red giant mushrooms give a lot of red mushrooms, brown - brown. This is a great option for growing mycelium and making mushroom soup.

    Endless darkness of the End and a large space are great for growing giant mushrooms!

    Giant mushrooms require 7 x 7 x 6 space to grow in total darkness, so the End is more efficient than SkyBlock Island itself. Mushroom Soup restores 6 units and is produced with one cup, one brown mushroom and one red.
