I come to New York - and I like it there, I come to Moscow - and I am also glad. But living in Moscow is harder for me. Still, you feel freer there. Everything is real there, you don't have to invent anything. People treat everything easier, including outward appearance, do not judge you by the way you are dressed. A person in simple clothes and sneakers can sit next to you and turn out to be a billionaire. Maybe this was before, I don’t know, because I wasn’t brought up in American society, but I’ve already arrived there. mature man... In Moscow, we have a lot of all this artificial, pompous, invented, such a feast time of the plague: everyone walks, dresses up. It's good for a while, but when you live like that all the time, you feel like it's not real life.

What do you like in Moscow? Friends?

Friends, of course. This is my homeland, Moscow has long become close to me, although I myself am from St. Petersburg, I was born there, I call it, of course, Leningrad. I just love this city ...

You know, I have a lot of Moscow ones, such an "international". This year, and in the past, I really like Christian Dior: everything is very feminine, fashion in general is now focused on femininity, and this brand, of course, in this regard, just wonderful skirts, dresses ... It's close to me. Yesterday I read to myself that I had worn a skirt (it was Dior) not for my age. But I agree with the opinion that a woman is as old as she looks. And Dior is generally suitable for everyone, it is a brand for women of all ages. These clothes are elegant, there is only measure, and I think that this is just mine.

Among Russian women, few, it seems to me, know how to beautifully wear couture. Zuhair Murad himself said about you that you are one of those women. In general, I love and respect him very much, I think that he is one of the brightest masters of evening dresses and wedding dresses.

I myself decided to order a couture dress from Chanel for my 40th birthday, I go to Paris for fittings now, I visit both Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad ... Yes, these are special things. But they are very expensive. And there is no need to say that everyone can afford it. Therefore, it is worthwhile to approach this reasonably, probably: to some dates, to your birthdays, to some significant performances - of course it is worth it! And then, couture things, as a rule, do not go out of fashion: they are luxurious classics. And the classics are always fashionable. The items you order will not be wasted. Time will pass, they will be forgotten, and in 4 years you can safely put them on again. If possible, order. I order, but I try to approach it sensibly, no, I do not travel painfully around the atelier and do not constantly do this sewing, absolutely not. And besides, if I see a ready-made dress (I have such an opportunity, since I live in New York, and when things come in single copies, from Tom Ford, for example, or they bring Chanel Couture, they immediately tell me that they have made there are three of them, one is yours), I buy these with pleasure. But you got seriously involved in business, released your own fragrance: female and male, which are now sold both in TSUM and Douglas Rivoli. We all remember the presentation of Opus pour Femme and Opus pour Homme in Moscow. Is this idea yours or Igor's initiative?

Of course, this is my idea. Igor is very far from beauty or fashion. I was engaged in design development, promotional campaign.

Did you take part in the creation of the scent itself?

Of course! I have a perfumer, Nejla Barbier, she is French, lives in Paris, and I went to her, we sat for hours and tried different versions of scents. I said what I like, we mixed, tried, thought for 2-3 days, argued. I also took independent experts, Vika's daughter went with me all the time, someone else was invited to show the final result. The controversy was wild, because the last word I didn't leave, I wanted Vika to take part in this too, because she is also my partner ... In the end, of course, we chose more niche products. I have a couple of fragrances in stock that I want to release exclusively.

And how many have already been released?

Two women and two men?

No, there is only one male, but we must continue ... Everyone likes it very much, because it is so citrusy, fresh, even women use it in the summer, in general - unisex. I like him myself. And there are three female fragrances. For mature women - a more tart, evening aroma, called Opus, the second - La Muse, more youthful, and the third - La Muse Sensuelle, it is fresher, more delicate.

How realistic is it to launch such a business in Russia, how successful was the launch?

I can't say how successful it is yet. This is just the beginning, and while everything that comes from the business, I am investing in it, developing it. All the dividends are still being spent on development. The business has existed for four years, even less than 3.5, during which time I have released 4 perfumes. And this is the first Russian brand: Russian perfumes do not exist here at all. All brands are foreign or collaborations with foreigners. I have a purely Russian brand, and everything - from the bottle - is produced in France. I was even offered to make the same bottles in China, but I refused, I want the bottle to be honestly written Made in France. I want a French perfume with a Russian brand. Therefore, I spin it calmly, not too intensely. Moreover, there was time, because at one time I was engaged in Vika's wedding and I had no time for business. But in the fall, I’ll get down to business with renewed vigor. I wanted to make a presentation this year, but I had no strength. Now I am going to release an exclusive new perfume, most likely there will be a presentation in Moscow.

You mentioned the wedding eldest daughter, which was watched by all secular Moscow. I just can't believe how quickly time flies. Do you understand, do you realize that soon you may have grandchildren? I can’t imagine!

I don't believe in it myself yet! But it’s like I’m going to have a child myself. Because I love children so much that I'll just take it. And they are still so immature, it seems to me. In fact, they have been together for 4 years already, I'm so used to it: David (Berkovich - Posta-Magazine's note) has been with us for a long time as a member of the family. At the wedding, I spoke and said that he was like a son to me, as if they were all my children. They consult with me all the time, call me ...

When did you and Igor realize that Vicki and David are really serious?

They have been together for a long time, I'm used to it. They have a good, friendly relationship, and they love each other very much.
