We are testing innovations and finding out whether it has become easier to pass the Belarusian-Polish border at the Brest checkpoint.

The first option is paid

To do this, you need to register on the website belarusborder.by. There you make your reservation. This can be done 90 days in advance, but no later than three hours before departure. The user is given a corridor per hour to arrive at the place and cross the border in a separate lane. If for some reason you are late, the reservation is lost. The cost of such a service is 21 rubles on weekends and holidays, on other days - 16 rubles 80 kopecks.

Option two is free

As before, now you need to get in line. It starts from the electronic registration booths. These are three mobile insurance pavilions located opposite the Belorusneft gas station. Coupons for the electronic queue are issued by insurers. Give them a registration certificate, they register the car in an electronic queue. Later, the document is returned along with the coupon. They also, as before, you can get a "green card" - insurance for a car for traveling abroad.

In the "sump" there are six lanes for "free" and one for "payers". Further, both the first and the second are released directly to the barrier of the checkpoint. This is the area that can be seen on the online camera. Behind him, passport and customs control is already beginning.

How does it work in practice?

Euroradio arrived at "Varshavka" on September 1 at about 2 pm. We did not meet those wishing to cross the border for a fee. However, according to the employees of the border service, "many people have already taken advantage of booking through the site" - before lunch there were about ... ten people. Those who rode for free, only in the queue were ten times more. Conflicts begin already here: someone missed a friend, and maybe several, in front of him, someone brazenly drove around. Everything is as it was before the update.

In the "sump" all the seats on the six lanes are occupied. Conflicts continue, but people are already quarreling not among themselves, but with service employees: "He drove in later, but for some reason left earlier!" Everyone loses their nerves also because the system itself periodically freezes. Another failure occurred before the eyes of an Euroradio correspondent: the restart of the program took about 15 minutes. The queue at this time, of course, did not move.

What happens at the checkpoint itself, says the press secretary of the Brest border group Alexander Kislov.

Kislov: " We have a constant flow of people. I can't say if they started going faster or not. People go according to the electronic queue. There is no accumulation at the checkpoint itself. The introduction of the system did not affect the operation of the checkpoint itself. We have been working as usual, and we are working".

Eyewitnesses also confirm Kislov's words. In the zone of passport and customs control, everything is the same: go through the red or green channel and go to the bridge over the Bug. Everything is relatively fast. True, you can stay for a long time right on the bridge, but this is if the Polish border guards and customs officers work slowly.

Brest resident Vladimir, who travels quite often on personal business, is not yet satisfied with the new system. According to his feelings, it was longer to pass the border than at the same time on previous weekdays.

"The queue increased due to the fact that the newly introduced system was not only not properly tested - it constantly "hangs", but also the staff encountered it for the first time. Maybe they would like to organize the work as soon as possible, but they can’t do it due to technical reasons"... - says the man.

Late in the evening on September 1, there were no more system failures. Accordingly, there was no longer a long queue either.

The round-the-clock customs control point "Varshavsky Most" is located in Brest, has an international status and is considered the largest crossing connecting the Republic of Belarus and Poland. His specialization is various customs operations for the import into the territory Customs Union and further export of vehicles and goods from it by individuals.

This contributes to the periodic formation of long queues on some days, sometimes up to 3 km, the standing time in which can be up to 12 hours or more. The average time of crossing the border crossing is 1.5–2 hours, however, at maximum loads it increases to 14 hours, which is due both to the day of the week, time of day, and seasonal nature, holidays.

Electronic transport queuing system

On September 1, 2016, the electronic transport queue system was launched, which allows you to reserve the time for passing one or another type of transport control. This was done to unload the point and reduce travel time, because everyone could book for themselves exact time and cross the border in a separate lane. Thus, the user becomes the owner of a time corridor lasting 1 hour, and loses it if for some reason he is late.

Features of making a booking

To book the electronic queue "Warsaw Bridge" you need to enter the site belarusborder.by and get registered. At the same time, everyone should pay attention to some mandatory conditions for the service:

  • booking an electronic queue is possible from 3 hours to 90 days before the expected time of crossing the border;
  • the time interval provided is 1 hour;
  • booking is made within 30 minutes;
  • payment for the service does not depend on the category of the vehicle, the desired date of booking and is equal to 1 base unit (24.5 BYN). Payment must be made no later than 60 minutes after booking;
  • the vehicle should be placed at the entrance in front of the special waiting area before the provided time interval.

In case of booking a queue at Varshavsky Most, you should register and take a certain parking space located in the waiting area. After that, you must wait for the registration number to appear on the electronic scoreboard, and then leave the service waiting area and go directly to the checkpoint.

Free registration in the electronic queue

To do this, you should take a place among the traffic flow located at the mobile insurance pavilions located near the Belorusneft gas station. To receive an electronic queue coupon, it is necessary to transfer the vehicle registration certificate to the insurer, after which he will register in the Warsaw Bridge electronic queue, and then return the document along with the coupon. Next, you should take a place in the queue and wait until the number indicated in the ticket is displayed on the electronic scoreboard. This option will also allow you to freely cross the customs clearance point, but unlike pre-registration, when a certain time interval is known, in this case you will have to wait in a general queue. If it is long or scheduled for several hours in advance, then, accordingly, the wait can be significantly delayed.

As practice shows, the introduction of the electronic registration service made it possible to systematize the passage of customs, reduce the waiting time, because people cross the border according to the queue. Along with this, "hangs" were repeatedly noticed new system, which increased the number of people waiting, forced to stand longer due to its incorrect operation.

In the queue at Varshavka at the end of the year, almost every day they stand for several hours only to the checkpoint, and then another 2-4 hours, as you're lucky. After all, d December is a very popular month for traveling to Poland. First, buy gifts. Secondly, New Year's decor and holiday attributes. Thirdly, stock up on delicacies to new year's eve. Therefore, therefore, we decided to immediately reduce the time for the queue to the border from the Belarusian side. How did we do it?

Our Queue Booking Experience

December 16, Friday, our editors decided to test new service booking a queue at the border. The service, as well as the electronic queue itself, was recently introduced only from September 1, 2016. Booking a place takes place electronically on the website belarusborder.by. From the Belarusian service, we expected a catch at every turn, but everything was done for people, registration did not cause problems. The only thing worth considering is that 60 minutes are given to pay for the reservation. To book a place in the queue literally means that within an hour your car will be launched at customs. Those. the time is booked, for example from 7 to 8 in the morning. You must arrive at the waiting area before 7 am, and by 8 am you must be allowed through a separate lane to the border crossing. The cost of booking on weekends and Fridays is 1 base (21 rubles), on other days - 0.8 base (16.8 rubles). In the waiting area, you can make insurance, drink coffee in a cafe, there is a shop, a bank, a toilet and even a tire service.

But we could not use these services, because. immediately after our arrival at the waiting area, the number of the car was displayed on our scoreboard, and we were released to the border.

Those. before 7 in the morning (we booked the time from 7 to 8), we got to the barrier in the Brest checkpoint zone, because. We arrived at check-in at 6:40. Time at the border took us 3 hours, and at 8 am Polish time we drove into Terespol.

In the normal queue

As for the usual queue before entering the checkpoint, according to the reviews of friends and on the forums, they stand in it for about 5 hours. There were only two cars in the waiting area with us. It can be concluded that the service is not yet very popular. Although, pay 16 p. or 21 p. in order not to stand for 5 hours at the border, it seems to us a very good alternative. This money is more than paid off for the trip, and the time saved makes it much more enjoyable.

Moreover, this service will be convenient for families with children who are older than three years. According to the rules for passing customs control, children under three years of age have the right to an extraordinary passage of the border (of course, with all members of the crew of the car on which they cross the border). But children and older people also get very tired in the queue. Not to mention how tired parents are, trying to occupy them with something, feed them, take them to the toilet. A fidget at 4 years old differs little from a three-year-old, so we recommend booking a queue and going to the border a maximum of an hour, or even immediately.

What happens in the waiting area

You need to get to the waiting area before the time indicated in the reservation. Those. if the time is from 6 to 7 in the morning, then before 6 in the morning you need to drive up to the barrier, otherwise the reservation will be canceled. At the entrance, right in the window of the booth, you can make insurance for the car and medical. During registration, you specify the driver, but in our case, we changed the driver. The claimed driver was a passenger. We were told it didn't matter if someone else was driving. During registration, we were explained in detail where to go to wait, where is the board, where to go to the border. Everything is organized clearly - it's hard to make a mistake. We did not have time to walk around the waiting area - the number of our car lit up on the scoreboard and we drove to the border. There was nothing difficult in this, although we expected that there would be a catch somewhere.

Video instruction for electronic booking of the queue:

Happy travels!

ATTENTION! On September 1, 2016, an electronic queue system began to operate at the Varshavsky Most checkpoint (Brest). This means that all citizens crossing the state border at this checkpoint undergo all types of control in the prescribed manner.

The checkpoint Brest (Varshavsky bridge) is located in the city of Brest, Warsaw highway-1. The checkpoint on the Polish side is called Terespol.

Warsaw Bridge accepts only passenger transport around the clock without days off and lunch breaks. intersection state border at this checkpoint by bike is not possible.

The capacity of the Varshavsky Bridge checkpoint allows you to receive 2350 cars, 350 passenger buses per day in both directions. Please note that freight transport is not serviced at this checkpoint!

Scheme of the checkpoint Warsaw bridge (Brest)

How to get to Warsaw bridge

Getting to the Brest checkpoint (Varshavsky bridge) from Minsk by car is quite simple: from the Belarusian capital, go to the P1 highway and drive to Dzerzhinsk. From Dzerzhinsk along the M1 highway to Brest, and from Brest along the Warsaw highway to the checkpoint "Brest, avtodorozhny".

Electronic queue at the border with Poland

On September 1, 2016, an electronic queue system began to operate at the Brest checkpoint (Varshavsky Most). The electronic queue is not at all an innovation of the Belarusian authorities, this system already practiced in a number of countries. In fact, this is very convenient, because. you no longer have to stand in queues for hours, worrying that at the border with Poland, instead of the scheduled hour, you will stand for two or more. Now you can book the border crossing time in advance, which means you can safely make plans.

IN currently at the Brest checkpoint, there are two options for an electronic queue: with and without reservation.

Electronic queue at the border with Poland with booking

First option - electronic queue at the border with Poland with reservation. This option is the most convenient, but requires a few simple steps:

Go to the site belarusborder.by and register in the system.
Book the border crossing time and pay for the reservation. Booking takes 30 minutes, payment - 1 hour. Payment is made online using a credit card.

Booking cost for passenger cars is:

Weekdays - 0.8 base unit (18.4BYN)
Holidays, pre-holidays, weekends and days off - 1 base unit (23BYN).

Booking an electronic queue guarantees you crossing the state border within 1 hour that you have booked. Next, you need to arrive at the Brest checkpoint before the time of booking, go through a separate channel to the waiting area, get a registration number in the waiting area and wait for it to appear on a special board.

Once again, we draw your attention to the fact that you will stay in the waiting area for no more than an hour!

In the waiting area at your service there are: a shop, a cafe, Insurance Company, bank, tire service and toilet.

When your registration number appears on the board, you must arrive at the checkpoint without stopping, and then the standard procedure.

You can book an electronic queue no earlier than 90 days, but no later than 3 hours before the desired border crossing! Consider this!

Electronic queue at the border with Poland without booking

The second option is electronic queue at the border with Poland without booking. This option is less convenient, because does not give you any guarantee of crossing the border at a certain time. In fact, this is the same live queue as before, only you need to wait not on the road, but in the service waiting area, where a toilet, a store, a cafe, an insurance company, a bank and a tire service work for you.

What should be done: arrive at the service waiting area, get a registration number, wait for your number to appear on a special board. After the number appears on the board, proceed to the checkpoint without additional stops and go through the standard border crossing procedure.

If you decide to drive a car around Europe (meaning, not rented on the spot, but on your own, leaving Russia), then important point this trip will pass the border of the European Union. Most often they travel through Poland, Finland or Lithuania, depending on the place of start and destination. In this article, I will tell you about our experience of online booking a seat in the electronic queue to leave Belarus for Poland at the Warsaw Bridge checkpoint (Brest-Terespol). This is the largest border crossing on the Belarusian-Polish border. There is also in Domachevo (it is the second most popular, although much smaller than Brest), in locality Kozlovichi (we know little about him, as well as about two others).

Now you can leave Belarus for Poland at the Brest-Terespol point only by electronic queue. True, this does not mean at all that you will go through customs instantly and without delay: the electronic queue only gives you the right to travel to the beginning of the border crossing (that is, to the beginning of the customs corridors): first you stand in the service area, then the number of your car lights up on the scoreboard and you you can move on - only from this moment the passage of the border begins, and it may not be fast.

So, how to book a seat online in the electronic queue at the border crossing in Brest when leaving Belarus for Poland?

  1. Visit the site: https://belarusborder.by/
  2. Register: Home — Registration — Register as an individual
  3. Fill in the fields (full name, driver details, passport details, etc.), confirm the registration using the link from the e-mail.
  4. IN personal account choose "Book", indicate the category of the vehicle, the checkpoint (while there is only one - Brest), choose the time interval. IMPORTANT: you need to arrive at the waiting area BEFORE the interval starts, so you need to correctly calculate the time when you can be at the checkpoint. Moreover, it may happen that the interval you need may already be occupied. Therefore, it is possible to do this in advance, although in this case, of course, it is more difficult to correctly calculate the time of arrival at the place.
  5. Fill in the driver's data (or select them from the profile, if the driver and the registered person are the same person), fill in the car's data and that's it with registration in the queue, the 1st stage is passed. This stage is simple, everything is quite clear and takes a little time. Next, you create a booking number and you need to proceed to payment. In this case, you need to pay for the reservation within 60 minutes from the date the number was assigned.
  6. At the second stage (payment), difficulties began (at least for me).

The booking number is followed by instructions for paying for the order through the “Settlement” system (ERIP), from which it followed that the simplest thing is to print out the instruction and take it to the bank to show it to the cashier. But this option did not suit us. We had nowhere to print the instructions and there was no way to go to the banks either.

Here is the instruction itself:

To make a payment for a reservation in the electronic queue system of the time of entry of the vehicle at the checkpoints, you must sequentially:

When you click on the menu item on the left: PAYMENT FOR THE SERVICE OF THE ELECTRONIC QUEUE OF THE ENTRY TIME OF THE VEHICLE TO THE CHECKPOINTS, which, it would seem, should logically lead to payment for the service, the same instruction opens with the items listed above (about item "B" - I mean alphabetical pointer, if anything), and at the end such a phrase:

Pay attention!Payment from the site raschet.by is not made. The site is for informational purposes only. The implementation of the payment component on the site is laid down as perspective plan development of the "Calculation" system.

At that moment, I was even ready to give up, but it already became a matter of honor - and I continued to search the site. She returned to Belarusborder again, then again to raschet.by.

As a result, I came across this page: http://raschet.by/platelshchikam/platelshchikam/ ,

where is the section « Helpful information- Where can I pay?.

There are 4 payment systems through which you can pay: Belgi, EPay, EasyPay, WebMoney. We were not registered in any of these systems. WebMoney was more or less well-known, but I didn’t want to bother with creating an electronic wallet, especially on the road, from the phone and with mobile internet. I continued looking for an opportunity to make a payment without registering on another site and without an electronic wallet. And finally, it would seem, found:

If you click on EasyPay, fall through here: https://ssl.easypay.by

Go to the "Payers" section (at the top of the page). The first thing that catches your eye is again about the electronic wallet. Ignore, scroll down. In the center of the page we find "Catalogue of goods and services", then click in the catalog - ERIP. A large expanded directory opens. And here it becomes more or less clear how you can apply the instructions from the BelarusBorder website: we find in long list“Online stores / services”, open the alphabetical index by clicking on the “+”, select the letter “B”, find “Belarusborder”, click, iiii ... voila: you need an electronic wallet! In desperation, I try to register a wallet, but the inscription pops up:

Registration unavailable due to EasyPay upgrade

I can hardly keep myself from throwing my phone out the window, I continue to search.

7.Finish line: I go to Belgi.by. After various attempts to find a service through the search form, as well as through the “Payments without registration” item, I go to the section "Payments for all services" under the search form, and (oh, miracle!) "Online stores / Services" are found there. And then everything is like clockwork: B - Belarusborder. A window opens where you need to enter your order number and click "Continue", and then more or less clear steps for paying with a bank card.

To save time, you can simply follow this link: https://belqi.by/Belqi-Phys/Default/Payments?category=ATOP_ALL_PAYMENT . Here you can pay for booking an interval for leaving Belarus without registration and an electronic wallet.

The cost of booking an electronic queue at the border crossing in Brest- 23 Belarusian rubles (about 700 Russian rubles).

As a result, this experience inspired me to create the above instructions for booking and paying for this service. I hope it helps save you time. I had a hard time, but kept within the time interval allotted for payment. But how glad we were when we arrived at the checkpoint in Brest: a whole line of cars lined up to pay for the electronic queue - it was quite obvious that it would take about two more hours to stand in this live queue to pay for a place in the electronic one.

In addition, the service area was already almost completely crammed with cars, that is, if we paid for the electronic queue on the spot, then most likely we would not fall into the next intervals. But we drove up to a separate entrance, showed on the screen mobile phone a scan of your order and we were instantly let into the waiting area. When at 12 o'clock the car numbers started to light up on the scoreboard, our number was the first one, and after 10 minutes we were driving up to the entrances to the customs corridors.

However, looking ahead: we did not go through all the other stages so quickly. At first they stood on the Belarusian side for a long time, then the Poles did not let them in. Total time the passage of the Belarusian-Polish border from the point of entry from Brest at 12 noon to the exit in Terespol took us 3.5 hours. In our practice, there were cases of much faster customs clearance. Although, in fairness, it must be said, there were also much slower ones, but rarely.

An interesting fact: at the entrance to the border crossing on the territory of Belarus, the car is immediately surrounded by a whole crowd of enterprising men offering to drive to the service zone without a queue. How much it costs and how it works, we have not found out - having learned that we have online registration, the comrades have lost interest in us.

In a word, progress does not stand still - and this must be used. And I will tell about our impressions of the trip to Krakow for the November holidays in the next article.

Good luck on your travels!
