This week, in addition to the rehearsal of the passage of military equipment through Red Square, there was also a rehearsal of the air part of the parade. And if ground equipment can be seen very rarely, just like during a rehearsal, then airborne equipment can be seen even less often. If you can almost feel the tanks and armored personnel carriers, get very close to them and take pictures from all angles, especially when they stand and wait in line before entering Red Square. Shoot as much as you want. This will not work with airplanes and helicopters. Aircraft cannot be stopped in the air, in addition, their speed is much higher, so the air part of the parade is very swift, and those who did not have time are late. There is one more nuance. Watching flying planes live without using powerful optics is the loss of more than half of the sensations. Armed with good binoculars, you can see powerful cars, their details, coloring - it's very cool! The same story if you decide to shoot the flight during the rehearsal or directly on May 9th. It seems to me that there is nothing to do with optics up to 200 mm, even if you are directly near Red Square. It was just this year that I managed to watch the airplanes from Vasilyevsky Spusk, since Red Square itself was closed. It is interesting that only on the first run you can capture the planes from this angle, you can’t stand here at the dress rehearsal, as it will roll out here ground equipment participating in the parade.
1. It is best to watch the parade on the stands on both sides of the mausoleum, but not everyone has such an opportunity. An easier option is to observe everything somewhere nearby. There were a lot of people on Manezhnaya, and here on Vasilyevsky Spusk, several aviation enthusiasts with cameras and cameras also gathered. There were also many tourists from Asia. They unloaded from the buses and when they reached the barriers, they returned sad, never having visited Red Square. But their disappointment quickly ended as soon as the first helicopters appeared.

2. Both helicopters and planes participate in the parade, their speed is different and therefore it is necessary to ideally calculate the time for the passage of each combat vehicle. If you think about it, it becomes clear what a difficult task it is for pilots. So, the parade will be opened by a huge Mi-26, which is the largest mass-produced transport helicopter. It can take up to 20 tons of cargo. He is accompanied by a group of Mi-8, this is one of the most massive helicopters not only in our country, but in general in the world, more than 10,000 of them were manufactured.

3. Another Mi-28N helicopter.

4. "Alligators" KA-52 and "White Swan".

5.

6. The most beautiful domestic aircraft - Tu-160 "White Swan". It's cool that swans have proper names. This "Nikolai Kuznetsov"

7. Beautiful planes. Tu-160 flies surrounded by Tu-22M3. Both of these aircraft are variable-swept wing aircraft. Unusual, very elegant cars.

8. Mi-24.

9.

10.

11. And here is the largest aircraft at the An-124 parade.

12. Powerful contraption.

13. And this, in my opinion, is the Il-76MD transport workers.

14.

15. Tu-95MS.

16. An interesting aircraft, it began to be mass-produced in 1955. More than 60 (!!!) it is in service and now looks archaic. It is hard to believe that such vintage aircraft are in service. However, the main function of such aircraft is the delivery of modern cruise missiles, so even such an archaic design does not prevent him from performing his task. It is interesting that the same age as the Tu-95, the legendary bomber and the B-52 cocktail, work for the Americans in this area. It has been produced since the mid 50's.

17.

18. And here is an Il-78 tanker plane and a handsome Tu-160.

19. Luxurious aircraft.

20. And then every little thing flew.

21. Training Yak-130.

22.

23. Su-24M front-line bombers flew by.

24.

25. And finally something new. The Su-34 is a relatively new fighter-bomber, by the way, it was developed as a replacement for the Su-24, which flew a minute earlier.

26. MiG-31. It's also quite an old plane.

27. Well, in the end they flew combat aircraft in different formations, here comes the Tactical Wing.

28. Consisting of 4 Su-34, 3 Su-30SM and 3 Su-35S.

29. In general, there should have been 4 + 4 + 2 aircraft in order to form a symmetrical figure. But especially corrosive comrades noticed that one Su-30SM was replaced with a Su-35S (unless, of course, I mixed up something). Looks like it didn't start in the cold. =)

30.

31. And of course, fans of the public "Russian Knights" and "Swifts". They are very easy to recognize, they have a bright coloring so that you will definitely notice them. As always, they flew in the "Cuban Diamond" formation.

32. Swifts, as usual, fly the MiG-29, but the Russian Knights were transferred to the Su-30SM.

33. Well, at the end they let off the gas, a Su-25BM flight flew by, leaving behind stripes of smoke in the colors of the Russian flag, very spectacular.

In general, it was interesting, but a little sad that new models of equipment in the air do not appear so often with us, and they could already show the latest promising T-50 at the parade. And of course, the parade would be greatly decorated with samples from the Second World War. Actually we celebrate the victory in it on May 9th. The equipment of those years is involved in the ground part, but it is not in the air, although it would be very cool to look at the legendary Il-2, for example, or U-2.

On May 4, a rehearsal of the Victory Parade took place in Moscow. Formations of the Military Space Forces of Russia of the th Federation took part in it - planes and helicopters flew over the capital of Russia. Our photojournalist Vladimir Velengurin watched the strategic bombers with his own hands.

- The most exciting moment of the parade on Red Square is the flight of aircraft. Millions of eyes are riveted on aces pilots. I also decided to be on the other side of the parade. My task is to fly an IL-78 and photograph a Tu-160 flying over Red Square. Usually the road to Red Square from home takes me no more than an hour, this time I got to the heart of Moscow for almost a day. Landing on my plane was at a military airfield in the city of Engels Saratov region. Over Red Square, the IL-78 will imitate the refueling of the most powerful strategic bomber TU-160. From the rear cockpit of the IL-78 in the tail of the aircraft, where the tanker operator is located, there is a small window. From there, the refueling process is controlled, and there I will take pictures. The operation is similar to the passage of a camel through the eye of a coal. The refueling operator releases a hose with a length of more than 20 meters, which is “sucked” in flight by an aircraft that needs refueling.

Our photojournalist had to start ahead of time, although the flight itself was rather short. At the same time, the planes that fly over Red Square have "spare":

- At 8 am we started from the airfield. A Tu-160 joined us behind us. He flew all the way to Moscow, clinging to our tail at 30-100 meters, terrifying me. If we translate the distance between the planes into a car, then the distance was critical. What if we make an emergency stop? The planes at the Victory Parade are the same movie stars. Everyone has their own doppelgänger. If suddenly there is some kind of problem with the main apparatus, then an understudy will immediately take its place. And at the parade, no one will notice the substitution. From military airports middle lane countries in the morning start planes and helicopters. By 11 am, all participants in the parade flock to the Kubinka airfield, line up and fly to Red Square at intervals of several tens of seconds. But no duplicates.

It turned out to be quite difficult to take a picture and I had to work hard to make the shot successful:

- The height of the flight over the Red Square is different for everyone. From 150 to 500 meters. Our tandem flies at an altitude of 500 meters. At this height, usually due to air currents, strong turbulence begins at the IL-78. And shooting becomes simply unbearable! The sensations are as if you are riding a bicycle at great speed along the sleepers. I am thrown in a cramped booth from one wall to another, I touch the low ceiling. But I concentrate and try to hold myself and not lose the picture in the camera viewfinder. the main task- remove the flight of TU-160 over Red Square! Long road- here is the Red Square. She flashed for a few seconds and that's it. So fast that I barely have time to press the trigger. No impressions due to technical reasons. All my emotions went into the fight against turbulence - how not to drop or break the camera and take a picture in time.

For many pilots, this flight was the first and there were many emotions:

- After Moscow - back to Engels. The whole way there and back is about 4 hours. Upon arrival, I spoke to the crew. For most of them, this was the first flight over Red Square. And they have a lot of impressions from the flight. Only the best of the best manage to get to the Parade. I got photos. But not to say that I was pleased with them. Not everything depends on the photographer. The clouds prevented me, or rather the shadow from them, which fell directly on the Kremlin. It turned out to be somewhat shaded, but the details of its towers and buildings are visible. But the photograph is still impressive in its scale. Giant TU-160 in flight over Red Square against the backdrop of the panorama of Moscow!

DIRECT SPEECH

Prior to this, aviation trained at other sites. Air technology, which participates in the parade, is well known to everyone, - said Artem Sherstyukov, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, before the rehearsal. - These are strategic missile carriers Tu-160 and Tu-95 MS, long-range bombers TU 23 MZ, transport aircraft, and all modern fighters, attack aircraft and helicopters. The most spectacular moments of the parade will be the flights of the Russian Knights aerobatic team on the SU 30 SM, and 6 SU-25 attack aircraft will paint the sky with the colors of the Russian flag with smoke. Crews of long-range aviation IL 78 and TU 160 carry out an imitation of refueling in the air. The parade will be attended by 55 aircraft, 17 helicopters, 77 crews in total.

The authorities of Ecuador have deprived Julian Assange of asylum in the London embassy. The founder of WikiLeaks is detained by the British police, and this has already been called the biggest betrayal in the history of Ecuador. Why is Assange being avenged and what awaits him?

Julian Assange, a programmer and journalist from Australia, became widely known after the website WikiLeaks, founded by him, published secret documents of the US State Department, as well as materials related to military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2010.

But it was quite difficult to find out who the policemen, supporting by the arms, were taking out of the building. Assange grew a beard and did not look at all like the energetic man that he had so far presented in photographs.

According to Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno, Assange's asylum was denied because of his repeated violations of international conventions.

He is expected to remain at a police station in central London until he appears before Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Why the President of Ecuador is accused of betrayal

Former President of Ecuador Rafael Correa called the decision of the current government the biggest betrayal in the history of the country. "What he (Moreno. - Approx. ed.) did is a crime that humanity will never forget," Correa said.

London, on the contrary, thanked Moreno. The British Foreign Office believes that justice has prevailed. The representative of the Russian diplomatic department, Maria Zakharova, has a different opinion. "The hand of 'democracy' is squeezing the throat of freedom," she said. The Kremlin expressed the hope that the rights of the arrested person would be respected.

Ecuador harbored Assange because ex-president adhered to centre-left views, criticized US policy and welcomed the publication of WikiLeaks secret documents about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Even before the Internet activist needed asylum, he managed to get to know Correa personally: he interviewed him for the Russia Today channel.

However, in 2017, the government in Ecuador changed, the country headed for rapprochement with the United States. New President called Assange "a stone in the shoe" and immediately made it clear that his stay on the territory of the embassy would not be delayed.

According to Correa, the moment of truth came at the end of June last year, when US Vice President Michael Pence arrived in Ecuador on a visit. Then everything was decided. "You can be sure: Lenin is just a hypocrite. He has already agreed with the Americans about the fate of Assange. And now he is trying to make us swallow the pill, saying that Ecuador allegedly continues the dialogue," Correa said in an interview with Russia Today.

How Assange made new enemies

The day before the arrest Chief Editor WikiLeaks Kristin Hrafnsson said that Assange was under total surveillance. "WikiLeaks uncovered a massive spy operation against Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy," he said. According to him, cameras and voice recorders were placed around Assange, and the information received was transmitted to the administration of Donald Trump.

Hrafnsson specified that Assange was going to be expelled from the embassy a week earlier. This did not happen only because WikiLeaks made this information public. A high-ranking source told the portal about the plans of the Ecuadorian authorities, but the head of the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry, Jose Valencia, denied the rumors.

Assange's expulsion was preceded by corruption scandal around Moreno. In February, WikiLeaks published the INA Papers package, which traced the operations of the offshore company INA Investment, founded by the brother of the Ecuadorian leader. In Quito, they said that this was a plot by Assange with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and former head of Ecuador Rafael Correa to overthrow Moreno.

In early April, Moreno complained about Assange's behavior in Ecuador's London mission. “We have to protect the life of Mr. Assange, but he has already crossed all the lines in terms of violating the agreement that we reached with him,” the president said. “This does not mean that he cannot speak freely, but he cannot lie and hack ". At the same time, back in February last year, it became known that Assange at the embassy was deprived of the opportunity to interact with outside world, in particular, he was turned off access to the Internet.

Why Sweden stopped persecuting Assange

At the end of last year Western media citing sources, they said that Assange would be charged in the United States. This was never officially confirmed, but it was precisely because of Washington's position that Assange had to take refuge in the Ecuadorian embassy six years ago.

Sweden, in May 2017, stopped investigating two cases of rape in which the founder of the portal was accused. Assange demanded compensation from the country's government for legal costs in the amount of 900,000 euros.

Earlier, in 2015, Swedish prosecutors also dropped three charges against him due to the statute of limitations.

Where did the rape investigation lead?

Assange arrived in Sweden in the summer of 2010, hoping to get protection from US authorities. But he was under investigation for rape. In November 2010, a warrant for his arrest was issued in Stockholm, Assange was announced in international wanted list. He was detained in London, but was soon released on bail of 240 thousand pounds.

In February 2011, a British court ruled to extradite Assange to Sweden, followed by a series of successful appeals for the founder of WikiLeaks.

The British authorities placed him under house arrest before deciding to extradite him to Sweden. Breaking his promise to the authorities, Assange asked for asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy, which was granted to him. Since then, the UK has had its own grievances against the founder of WikiLeaks.

What's next for Assange?

The man was re-arrested following a U.S. extradition request for publishing classified documents, police said. At the same time, Deputy Foreign Minister Alan Duncan said that Assange would not be sent to the United States if he faced the death penalty there.

In the UK, Assange is likely to appear in court on the afternoon of 11 April. This is stated on the WikiLeaks Twitter page. It is likely that the British authorities will seek a maximum sentence of 12 months, the man's mother said, citing his lawyer.

At the same time, the Swedish prosecutor's office is considering reopening the investigation into the rape allegation. Lawyer Elizabeth Massey Fritz, who represented the interests of the victim, will seek this.

The Russian Ministry of Defense provided an opportunity to spy on the preparation of military equipment for the Victory Parade. Viewers of the official YouTube channel of the military department have the opportunity to look at the training of the crews of the mechanized column, which will take place on May 9 on Red Square. In 2017, 114 pieces of equipment, 72 pieces of aviation and 10,001 military personnel will take part in the Victory Parade.

Rehearsal of the Victory Parade on May 3, 2017 in Moscow: Blocking the streets during the parade

About 20 streets of Moscow will be blocked on Thursday, April 27, in connection with the rehearsal of the parade in honor of Victory Day, the press service of the Moscow traffic police reports.

The movement of any transport (including public) will be blocked along the streets of Nizhniye Mnevniki, People's Militia, Mnevniki, Zvenigorodskoye Highway, Krasnaya Presnya, Barrikadnaya, Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya, Bolshaya Sadovaya Street, Triumphal Square, Tverskaya Street, Red Square, Kremlin Embankment, Borovitskaya Square, on Bolshoi Moskvoretsky and Bolshoy Kamenny Bridges, along Bolotnaya Street and Bolotnaya Square, on Mokhovaya Street, Vozdvizhenka, Novy Arbat and Novinsky Boulevard.

The traffic restriction will begin at 17:00 and will continue until the end of the events. Restrictions will apply on the days of the next rehearsals of the parade on May 3 from 17:00, on May 7 and on the day of the parade on May 9 - from 05:00 in the morning.

Rehearsal of the Victory Parade on May 3, 2017 in Moscow: Where is it better to watch pedestrians

A calmer and more correct option is to look at tanks, armored personnel carriers and Iskanders on the streets of Moscow during evening training or morning dress rehearsal.

For example, on the section of Tverskaya Street between metro station Pushkinskaya and metro station Okhotny Ryad in the evening, starting at 18-45 - approximately at this time, the column lines up along Tverskaya, and you can watch the vehicles in motion. Until 22-35, the vehicles will stop, and then move to Red Square - this is the second chance to see how combat vehicles drive.

Do not stand near metro exits - walk at least 200 meters along the street so as not to push in the crowd.

Our regular reader Alexei Mitrofanov shared his views on where to watch the parade from:

“We were at the dress rehearsal yesterday. First, we watched the movement of vehicles at the intersection of the Boulevard Ring with Tverskaya Street (from the side of Pushkinskaya Square inside the ring), and then walked along the ring on foot to the Bolshoi Ustyinsky Bridge.

From the outside and inner sides there were a lot of people on the ring, and in the middle it was very free and you could choose a place to view the equipment.

I can only confirm: Bolshoi Ustyinsky Bridge is the best place to view foot columns after the Spasskaya Tower. And for aviation, I think it is best point, since the whole fleet is flying at you, and above you the helicopters go to the left, and the planes go to the right.

Since we were walking along the ring with two children, the movement of foot columns to Red Square was almost caught. If we had gone by car (the ring from Terskaya to Bolshoy Ustyinsky Bridge was free from both traffic police officers and vehicles), we would also have seen the formation of foot columns. Tverskaya will be "cleared" from people and it will be impossible to observe from it. I don’t know about the bridge, but at the exit of pedestrian columns it is blocked for vehicles and all lanes are available for pedestrian traffic. Naturally, you won’t be able to see the foot columns from the roadway, but the aviation will be in all its glory!”

At the general rehearsal on May 7, in terms of time and movements, everything will be exactly the same as on Victory Day.

Rehearsal of the Victory Parade on May 3, 2017 in Moscow: Where is the best place to look on the car (photo / map)

There is only one ideal place to watch the rehearsal of the Victory Parade in your car! This is st. Nizhniye Mnevniki opposite the Tatneft gas station. BUT! If it is problematic to guess with the departure of armored vehicles to the place of the parade, then with the return time everything is quite accurate. And so: it is best to come to the "observation deck" no later than 23:30. It is at 23:30 that the street is completely blocked. Lower Mnevniki in both directions and it will no longer be possible to get to the lookout. The procession of the column of armored vehicles will begin at 23:50-00:00.

Portal ETOLIKE draws Special attention that will open traffic on the street. Nizhnye Mnevniki ONLY after, after the column of armored vehicles, the "harvesting and watering regiment" passes, which is closed by a decrepit tractor with a tank, you won't believe it, water). But seriously (before that, we didn’t joke either), then it will be possible to leave no earlier than 1:10 at night. But believe me, it's worth it! Just imagine, you are sitting in your car, and at a distance of 10 meters from your infernal chariot, military equipment! See the video of how it was (and will be) at the very bottom of the article.

- Revolution Square,
- Alexander Garden,
- Borovitskaya,
- Library named after Lenin.

Rehearsal of the Victory Parade on May 3, 2017 in Moscow: Where to look at the soldiers taking part in the rehearsal.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to fully see the pedestrian part. Both at rehearsals and on Victory Day, foot columns usually approach Red Square in several ways: from Kotelnicheskaya Embankment, along Varvarka and along Ilyinka. The streets and lanes closest to them will be blocked, but perhaps something can be seen from the Bolshoi Ustyinsky Bridge.

From afar, across the Moskva River, parade crews on Vasilyevsky Spusk are visible from Sofiyskaya Embankment, if it is not blocked. It is better to take places early, as there are usually a lot of people who want to. Kremlin embankment, Bolshoy Moskvoretsky and Bolshoy Kamenny bridges will be closed.
