will appear in Moscow Silver University which will come into effect on November 1st.

All interested Muscovites, aged 60 for men and 55 for women, will be able to study at Silver University, which will open in the capital on November 1. Retirees will be able to acquire knowledge there that will help them improve their quality of life. This was reported “Evening Moscow”.

On the official website of the mayor and the government of Moscow, a message appeared that for everyone who wants to study at this institution, programs have been developed that can teach them the principles of mobile devices, foreign languages, legal and financial literacy.

The main purpose of creating Silver University is the extension of professional longevity.

Earlier, the Nation News news agency reported that the Pushkin Museum would work free of charge on the day of its 60th anniversary in Moscow.

Probably, this pedagogical university has not seen off any graduates with such warmth in its entire history. Tea with pies, karaoke, funny contests and gifts. Long before the start of the solemn event, the hall was already full. “We know that our “silver” students are very responsible, they always come an hour and a half before the start of the event, so we came up with leisure activities for them so that they don’t get bored while waiting,” the graduation organizers explained.

An increase in pension

208 graduates of the Silver University, who studied the professions of a nanny, a green farm worker and a manufacturer of play dolls, received certificates of working specialties. These are the longest training programs, designed for six months. Previously, students of general education courses completed their studies, for example, in the study in English, history and culture of Moscow, computer literacy. A total of 3020 Muscovites. Someone came to study, just not to sit at home and find an exciting hobby, others - to replenish their knowledge. But there were also those who purposefully received a profession in order to have Additional income retired.

“Life becomes more active after retirement. It is important to keep up with the times. And it's great that you don't want to sit at home idly by. We will assist you so that you can find yourself in the labor market,” he promised the graduates Deputy Head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Moscow Pavel Keller.

It was possible to look after the future place of work right there, at the job fair organized at the Moscow State Pedagogical University for graduates. Newly made nannies were most actively interested in the work. The demand for them is also high. Only for nannies and nurses in Moscow now there are more than 200 official vacancies. And the salaries promised by him look more than attractive - from 35-40 to 60 thousand rubles. “There are vacancies for graduates of the Silver University in our database, and they are constantly updated, employment is carried out through official contracts,” explains Leading Inspector of the Moscow Employment Center Olga Sanakina.

“Before I went to study, I sat with the baby,” says Irina, a librarian by profession. - After the course, I returned to work as a nanny and I feel calmer and more confident. Teachers structure our diverse life experiences so that they can be applied more effectively.”

Activities for the soul

The need for green economy workers in the capital is also great. Salaries from 12-22 to 25 thousand rubles. True, most of the graduates of this course are not going to work in a new specialty. “People studied mainly for themselves, there are many summer residents among us,” a pensioner shares with me and shows a certificate of assignment of a profession. Kirill Fortov, a psychologist by training. - I learned about the courses from the Internet. I called the local social security center, they told me that the groups had already been recruited. Then I called the rector of the university, and he took me. Now I have an idea about green farming.”

“I have always been interested in how to care for plants,” continues fellow student Kirill Elena Nikolaeva, former programmer. - Now I want to reorganize flower beds on my site. Everyone went to class very enthusiastically. We planted seedlings of peppers on January 25, now they are growing in my greenhouse. So there is no theory without practice. The students even went through a master class with a famous TV presenter of programs for gardeners Oktyabrina Ganichkina.

The most cheerful and friendly student company turned out to be puppeteers. They show me their work. Real works of art! Dolls - made of hot plastic, frame, cloth, in national costumes or evening dresses, even in the form of amulets. The work is painstaking. It takes 1.5-2 months for one doll. Graduates of this program can work for children's studios and circles, as well as museums. But they didn't come here for that. Making dolls is both an occupation for the soul and a cure for spiritual wounds. Tatyana Shenaeva at 41, she lost her daughter and grandson. At the age of 45, she again gave birth to a daughter. Years flew by unnoticed, in worries, leaving no time for themselves. First she raised a child, then she experienced grief, and again the troubles of late motherhood. And the daughter, who herself has not yet fully grown out of dolls, supports her mother's hobby. “Only in retirement did they learn that a favorite pastime can bring such pleasure,” Tatiana’s classmates told me with burning eyes. - We have formed an interest club here. We made new friends and we see each other regularly. Life blossomed with new colors.

Youth for... 60

According to the teachers, working with an audience of 60 plus is a pleasure. These students do not skip classes, but with their energy, exactingness and activity in mastering the sciences, they can sometimes give odds to young students. They say that the office where they were engaged in the manufacture of dolls was on the 5th floor, in an old building without an elevator. This is 108 steps. At the end of the course, when the pensioners came to take the exam, they just flew upstairs.

“Judging by how deftly you jumped onto the stage today to take a picture, by the energy that reigns in the hall, by your young, glowing optimistic eyes, you are not much different from the students you once were. You are set for an active future life, ”confirmed Director of the Moscow Employment Center Georgy Timofeev.

"A in modern life you have to be able to do a lot, be ready for everything, because there is so much more to come, - admonished the graduates Rector of Moscow State Pedagogical University Igor Remorenko. - You have entered a program that, in addition to communication, makes it possible to declare that you have a serious professional skill. At the Silver University, classes continue. There are other general development programs. And we'll be glad to see you in the fall."

You can sign up to study at the Silver University now. You can only choose one curriculum per year (see infographic). But on the other hand, you can always learn, not only at the silver, but also at the golden age.

Create email, reply to a message in in social networks, find your favorite movie on YouTube, buy a plane ticket online, connect to wifi networks- manipulations that citizens easily perform every day. However, for older people, these seemingly simple actions turn into an impossible task. The program “You can’t be afraid, use it, or a Smartphone for Everyday life". The University of the Government of Moscow is implementing it as part of the Silver University city project.

trend modern education- lifelong learning. Elderly residents of the capital can get new knowledge at the Silver University. Within the framework of this urban educational project, the University of the Government of Moscow provides training in six programs.

The course on the study of working with a smartphone is especially popular with students. More than 600 people (54 groups) have already trained under the program “You can’t be afraid, use it, or a Smartphone for everyday life”.

In September, another group completed the training, all participants were given certificates of its successful completion. They shared their impressions of the course.

Tatyana Milchenko 74 years old, she is a teacher in the past preschool education. The courses helped her master a wide variety of instant messengers, and now she can easily communicate with relatives living abroad:

“I want to keep up with the youth, to be able to competently use modern technologies. I myself used a computer before the courses, but I knew how to perform only the simplest actions, I had long wanted to expand my knowledge. Now I can talk via video link with numerous relatives and friends from Ukraine, Mexico, Australia. IN Soviet time we could not even imagine that such a thing was possible. You see the facial expressions of a person, it is incommensurably richer than just talking on the phone. I am happy that I live in this amazing time! I am in awe of the people who came up with this program for us! It's free, which means it's available to everyone. Before this course, all programs and applications were downloaded to me by children and grandchildren. And now I can do it myselfinstalled Viber, I can download and save my favorite movies from YouTube.”

Galina Mamotova 67 years old, she is a former teacher. Her lack of confidence in using a smartphone and the desire for self-development led her to the courses:

“People, retiring, drop out of society for a while. My professional life ended seven years ago. Of course, we don’t want to sit at home, we need development. When it fell into my hands mobile phone I was worried and afraid. I realized that if I don’t overcome this fear now, then I will completely lag behind life. I went to the support centers of mobile operators and asked to be installed different applications. But I was afraid to figure it out myself: where to use wi-fi and what it is, how to master this or that function. Now a different world has opened up for me! The benefits of this course are invaluable! I tell my friends how interesting it is to study here and get help from teachers.”

Rosa Kadysheva 71 years old, for the past few years she worked as an employee of the human resources department, but the organization closed:

« The company I worked for was liquidated, I had a lot of free time. And I am a person who is not used to sitting still, so I immediately began to think how interesting and useful it would be to occupy myself. I have owned a computer since the 80s, I remember how the first robotrons appeared then. Of course, now the technology is on a completely different level. The smartphone was given to me by my husband and son. But the courses helped to learn how to use it. It was very interesting, I did not miss a single class. And I would also note our incredibly patient and delicate teachers!”

The teacher of the group told in more detail about the training program Oksana Ruban:

“Our program is focused on ensuring that older residents use as much as possible in life mobile devices, confidently used the Internet, solved their issues with public services, communication, purchasing tickets, etc. through it. We understand what mobile devices are, their settings. Learn how to use a video camera, shoot video. We show what YouTube is, training videos are especially popular with them: how to make a haircut, make something, cook. We study what online stores, transport applications are, create e-mail and master instant messengers. We show you how to make an appointment with a doctor online. For them, all these opportunities are a real discovery,” says the teacher.

According to the teacher, such students need a special approach:

“In this work, you need to have patience, try to explain as clearly, clearly and in detail as possible, extra information confuses older people. This is a different generation that perceives information differently. Former techies grasp the material more easily, but I am of the opinion that anyone can master this course.

Applications for studying at the Silver University are accepted at the territorial Centers for social services for the population.

In total, since April 2018, 850 pensioners have been trained at the University of the Government of Moscow under the following programs: “You can’t be afraid, use it, or a Smartphone for everyday life”; "Control apartment building»; "English for a guide in Moscow"; “Fundamentals of Active Longevity: Great Opportunities of the Silver Age”; "5 steps to volunteering at a silver age"; "Painting from scratch (right hemispheric drawing)".

Konstantin Tsaranov, director of the Center for Health Development and social sphere Moscow Government University: “We see a sincere interest and desire to learn from the citizens of the new generation. And we make sure that our educational programs fully meet their expectations. The teaching staff is undergoing a very serious selection. We check not only knowledge of the material, but also the ability to work with older people, to choose the right approaches to them. Our students study the most relevant, popular and interesting topics for them. For example, how to get a public service in electronic format or sign up for a clinic through EMIAS. All this is aimed at making their life more comfortable and mobile, showing new opportunities. For each course, we prepare a special detailed handout, which our students then use for a long time as instructions for using gadgets.”

In September, new training programs were launched: "Ticket clerk"and Our Legacy: Keepers of History. Master classes on time management also began.
