The first mentions of game World of Warships sounded back in 2011. The gameplay of the game "World of Warships" will be pretty familiar to all fans of "tanks". The player has a hangar with several slots for the ships he has purchased. Each ship has its own captain with a certain set of characteristics that affect the success of actions in battle. In the hangar, a ship is selected for the upcoming mission, new technical modules are installed, repairs are carried out, and a new task is selected.

For participation in hostilities, and especially for defeating the enemy, experience points are awarded. In this case, experience is of two types: points for a specific ship that completed the task, and general points for the entire account. The first type is needed to upgrade a warring ship and install new modules, and the second to improve any ship in the hangar. By the way, as in many online games, pumping is available for real money converted into virtual credits.

The skills of the captains are also developing, and they themselves can be transferred from one ship to another, but for this you will have to retrain the control of a certain type of ship. With the maximum upgrade of the vehicle, the ship goes into the elite category, and all the experience points earned by it go to the common piggy bank or to accelerate the development of the captain's characteristics.

The game has several modes and a set of different missions that can be played alone or by joining a group. As a rule, the main tasks of a battle group are to capture a target point (fortress or island) or destroy all enemy ships. And often, you need to do both. There are also some unusual missions, such as, for example, "Supremacy": you need to gain the maximum number of points by capturing and holding specific territories and at the same time keeping the maximum number of allied ships.

Ship classes in World of Warships

The player can choose from the following 4 classes of ships:

1. Destroyers.

Light and small in size, they are characterized by high speed and maneuverability. Due to their small size, it is impossible to install many guns on them, therefore, they do not have a large fire potential, as well as armor. However, the small size has its merits - destroyers are a rather difficult target. In addition, they are equipped with underwater torpedoes capable of inflicting significant damage on enemy ships. Smoke screens are used on the destroyers to cover themselves and their allies.

2. Battleships.

Heavy armored warships equipped with numerous powerful guns. And although they do not have great speed, the striking power of these ships can create a lot of trouble for the enemy. Strong armor and survivability allow them long time stand fire.

3. Cruisers.

These ships occupy an intermediate position between destroyers and battleships. They are fast enough and at the same time have a good set of guns in their arsenal. They have more armor than destroyers, besides, like the latter, torpedoes supplement their list of weapons.

4. Aircraft carriers.

Huge aircraft carriers do not have high firepower, their speed does not allow them to evade pursuit or overtake the enemy, and their armor cannot withstand direct attacks for a long time. Their main purpose is to transport and manage air groups. On the platform of the ship there are 3 types of aircraft: bombers, torpedo bombers and fighters. Bombers approach close to enemy ships and drop bombs on them - the damage is small, but it is very difficult to dodge these shells. Torpedo bombers inflict more serious damage with volleys of their missiles, but the chance of a miss when fired is quite high. The fighters have a different task - to destroy enemy aircraft and cover their air groups.

World of Warships development branches

During the beta test of World of Warships and by the time of the official release, the player will have access to only two development branches. In the future, the developers plan to introduce more nationalities of combat ships, but for now, you can choose either American or Japanese ships.

Each branch has its own distinctive features, which in the process of progressing through the game begin to be seen more and more clearly. Comparing the same classes of ships of different branches, one can note tangible differences. For example, Japanese destroyers have the best torpedoes in terms of range and power, but US ships are noticeably stronger. American cruisers have significant armor protection, good artillery pieces and air defense, in the process of development they abandon torpedoes and high levels more like "light battleships". The Japanese, on the other hand, supply their cruisers to the detriment of armor and air defense. maximum number weapons and torpedoes. The US Navy owns the most powerful aircraft carrier, the Midway, carrying more than a hundred aircraft on board - Japanese ships of this class cannot match it with such technology. However, the Imperial Navy has at its disposal the unique battleship Yamato with the largest maneuvering zone, the highest armor-piercing power and survivability. According to the developers, "Yamato" can only be opposed to another "Yamato", the Americans do not have such a vessel.

Taking into account the peculiarities of ships of different branches, the gameplay for each side will also differ. Playing as the Americans, you can choose a fairly simple battle tactics: take a comfortable position and, relying on good armor ships, shoot the enemy with powerful guns. The U.S. Navy successfully defeats the enemy using rough firepower... The Japanese, on the other hand, cannot afford long firefights - their armor and weak air defense are not able to provide sufficient protection. The basic principle of playing as Japan is a powerful surprise attack and retreat. Their strength is in torpedoes and massive volleys from all guns in a short period of time.

Controls and battles in World of Warships

V game plan the ship is controlled by both the keyboard and the mouse. On the one hand, nothing is complicated, but in reality the player may face some difficulties. The fact is that each specific ship has its own nuances in control: different sets of speeds, different steering wheel rotation, different weight and dimensions. In addition to this, the inertia of the vessel must always be considered. Moving through the water, you cannot suddenly brake or turn around. Therefore, the player will have to calculate in advance all his actions in order to avoid hitting enemy shells or corny not to run aground.

Battles in each class of ships, respectively, also take place in different ways. The destroyer constantly changes course and tries to successfully launch torpedoes, after which it quickly retreats or hides behind rocks, simultaneously releasing smoke to cover its group. The cruiser seeks to get closer to shoot the enemy without falling under heavy fire. The battleship takes a confident position and from a distance launches cannon volleys into ships. The aircraft carrier has a more tense situation - it needs to constantly manage several air groups and at the same time take into account the changing arrangement of ships on the map in order to move to a safe position in time. The game for the aircraft carriers has the greatest tactical component, while the other classes are more inclined towards the action.

Each vessel has its own task, its place in the group. It is important to act in a coordinated and effective way as a team in order to win naval battles.

Passage of the game and its features

In the process of completing missions, the necessary experience is gained to increase the level of the entire account. This non-standard software solution is a nice highlight of World of Warships. Raising the level opens access to new types of battles and more difficult missions, additional ships become available. Higher-level accounts receive more prizes for completing tasks. Moving through the game, the user unlocks more and more ships and missions, the technical excellence of the fleet grows and its participation in group missions becomes more valuable.

There are many interesting features in the gameplay. Battles on the water are not monotonous and predictable. An unexpectedly successful hit on an important part of the ship can decide the outcome of a battle in a few seconds.

A system of modular damage to ships has been implemented, in which not only their general "health" decreases, but also individual pieces of equipment fail. An interesting point is the possibility of repairing the ship right during the mission. The vessel is equipped with a special repair system - its use is limited, but it can really save the day.

There are no complaints about the graphic component: the glare of the sun on the water, waves, wind, fire on ships - everything, as expected, is perfectly executed. And, of course, the highest detailing of warships - business card Wargaming developers. All the smallest elements are visible, and during the upgrade, the "filling" of the deck changes. And today I would like to focus my attention on those branches that await us next year. I must say right away that all the information I have presented is an exclusive vanging of varying degrees of fantasy. No new branches were officially announced, and there is hardly anything to be expected by the end of the year.

So, we will start with the fact that now in WoWS national branches of the key naval countries of the period of the first and second world wars are represented. Considering that many "nations" are not complete now, in 2017 I would expect mainly the addition of the current nations with new branches of ships, and not the announcement of some new nations.

Germans

The Kriegsmarine really lacks a branch for full-fledged representation in World of Warships destroyers. Fortunately, there were actually quite a lot of ships of this class, and it is not particularly difficult to make a branch out of them. Since the development of German destroyers was largely carried out sequentially, it will not be too difficult to assume the 9-10 level of the future German branch. They will become Zerstörer 1942 and Zerstörer 1944 are also known as Z-51 and Z-52 respectively.

According to officially confirmed information, the branch has already been modeled and is awaiting configuration and testing. Here, too, everything is pretty prosaic. The Soviets are in dire need of a branch battleships, and quite a few players are not unreasonably waiting for this very branch.

However, there were quite expected difficulties with her. The fact is that the "iron" battleships of Russia of their own construction end in the period of sunset Russian Empire... In the USSR, the construction of new battleships began only in 1938, so that later, in October 40, the construction would be frozen, and then finally canceled.

At that time, it was not said why the hell was it modeled and since then this ship lies and awaits its fate. And there are actually not many options here - either a promotional ship for all sorts of clans and other activities, or the fate of the top of a new branch of light cruisers.

A full-fledged branch of British ships only recently appeared in World of Warships. The queen of the seas took a relatively long time to get to the game and did not last role inaccessibility played in this English archives... Best level 10 destroyer

Here I would like to note 2 destroyers and I downloaded them in parallel.

Shimakaze- A Japanese destroyer, in my opinion the best invisible tier 10 pack, can send 15 surprises at a time with large one-time damage. Disguise is not the best in the game, but it is enough. Main battery guns are rarely used, but they are good and you can strain enemies from the smoke. Meeting with artillery destroyers is contraindicated. The towers spin badly, they rarely shoot. To do this, 2 twin towers are in the back, and 1 in front. This is done on purpose in order to better fire on the retreat. And the tactics work, especially against destroyers with poor ballistics. My Shima with 10% HP of full Bensons and Girings analyzed. The latter is more difficult, of course, but sometimes it rolls with inexperienced caps.

Advice. While we are downloading the Japanese destroyers branch, and it is all suitable, like the second alternative, we will leave the level 7 and 8 Emirates in the hangar - Akatsuki and Kagero. Or their parallel siblings. If destroyers enter as a class, they will come in handy for ranked battles, if you do not plan to buy premium ships for this. True, the captains will either have to be downloaded again, or retrained with Shimakaze.

It makes sense to fight against destroyers only at close range, but in this case it burns out in years. It has two 5-pipe tubes with pleasant torpedoes, they are unobtrusive, they float quickly (you can also accelerate with a perk due to the range), less noticeable than Shima's, but they also do less damage, average. There is a barrier. Of the minuses low speed Gearing. Really nice wagon, like its entire branch.

A few words about Khabarovsk, a very cool destroyer, but difficult, the branch is heavy. The destroyer cannot cope with the work, it is almost a cruiser. I upgraded the branch quickly, because I was lucky with the introduction of the altervette, some ships got without pumping and I jumped level 8. A ship for experienced players.

Best level 10 cruiser

ZAO- Japanese cruiser, easy to learn, good main battery, glue torpedoes, low visibility, little HP, but not spent so quickly. The citadel is well protected, small and sunken. The leveling branch is not very stressful, but these are cruisers and you need to come to terms with the idea that sending a cruiser to port for a volley is normal.

I started downloading the branch first Soviet cruisers, it was burning, bombing, but I really wanted Moscow. So much suffering on the way to her, but she's worth it.
