The surname Ninidze has long been known to everyone. The first association is “heavenly swallow” Ii. However, her daughter is in no way inferior, neither in talent, nor in beauty. Her name is Nino, she is a promising actress, and Nino Ninidze's personal life worries her every fan. Kirill Pletnev and Nino Ninidze often appear on the covers of magazines, gossip and rumors about them appear in the media mass media almost every day. We will try to figure out at least a little which of them is true, and which are simply invented by evil tongues.

Nino's childhood

Nino Ninidze was born in 1991 and is now 25 years old. The girl's homeland is Tbilisi. At the time of her birth, the war was in full swing, and along with it, almost every family was haunted by fears and inconveniences in everyday matters. Lack of light and water, cold, material difficulties. In a word, war. But the family was not discouraged, and the girl admits that she never felt deprived of something. Parents created an atmosphere of comfort and warmth, tried to prevent children from growing up in fear and anxiety. And they did it. When little Nino was 5 years old, the family moved to Moscow, as her mother received an invitation to perform in the capital's theater called “ Bat". At first, the future actress was sent to a Georgian school, but at the initiative of the girl herself, transfer it to Russian in order to master the Russian language perfectly.

Nino Ninidze learned with ease, and due to frequent moves and changes of teams, she became more sociable, learned to easily find a common language with different people. This undoubtedly benefited her, because it is very important for acting.
In childhood, the girl's desires changed from space speed... To the question "What do you want to become when you grow up?" the little girl answered in different ways: now as an artist (after all, there is a talent, inherited from her father), now as a ballerina, now as an artist, now as a singer. It was only by the end of school that she decided for sure - an actress is her real vocation. Moreover, she immediately decided on educational institution: it should be VGIK, and nothing more!
Despite the mother's fame and her extensive connections, Nino Ninidze asked her not to interfere with the admission, because she herself wanted to feel the whole path. When preparing for the exams, Ii tried of course to somehow help, suggest something, give useful advice, but the daughter most ignored her and brushed it off. And who in adolescence listened to parents and did not contradict them? Nino Ninidze was no exception. Now, of course, her mother is her main adviser and in professional activity, and in personal matters, but then everything was different. Despite this, the girl entered the university of her dreams and successfully graduated from it.

Carier start

At first, Nino Ninidze was unlucky: there were plenty of castings, but everywhere she was refused: either she was too young or too beautiful ... made themselves felt).
Now the actress has several good films where she shines with her talent. The first two films were filmed in 2010, these are the films "And there was no better brother" and "Quiet Outpost". In 2011, the film "Blizzard" was shot.

Kirill Pletnev in Nino's life

In 2014, an unexpected trip to Vladivostok with the cast burst into the life of Nino Ninidze. It was Nikita Mikhalkov's idea. The essence of the event is that the star passengers of the train delighted residents of large cities on their way from Moscow, arranging bright holidays and parties for them. The event is timed to the anniversary of VGIK (that year it turned 95). Both Iya and her daughter received the invitation. Star family gladly went to please the Russians.

Kirill Pletnev, an actor and director, was traveling on the same train. He is known for a number of popular films and TV series, such as "Soldiers", "Once in Rostov", "Saboteur" and many others. His talent is also indisputable, because he was awarded many awards and prizes, in 2015 his short film won the Kinotavr. Kirill's personal life has always been eventful, he was the favorites of women and even was married and has two children, boys.
From the trip, they Kirill Pletnev and Nino Ninidze returned as a couple, and all relations were tied up in front of Nino's mother and other fellow travelers. Everyone whispered that Nino was just another "victory" by Pletnev, a fleeting hobby. However, in spite of all envious people, everything turned out to be serious.
The couple often appeared at events together, did not hide or hide, but, on the contrary, showed tenderness and awe for each other. At the Sochi "Kinotavr" they took to the "red carpet" together, and after winning this festival, Kirill devotes all his achievements to his muse Nino. By the way, at this festival the girl was already in a position. At the end of 2015, young people became the parents of a wonderful boy, who was named Sasha.

Now Kirill Pletnev and Nino Ninidze are busy raising a child and romantic relationship which they have kept to this day. As we all see, in her personal life, Nino Ninidze took place in the same way as in her profession.

Kirill Pletnev, a popular actor-turned-director, will present his film "Burn!" At the Shorter Festival in Kaliningrad today. Next to him is his wife - actress Nino Ninidze. Why do they not strive to work together and how they tame personal ambitions - in an interview with HELLO!

Beautiful, young, spontaneous - on set, the camera barely keeps up with their energetic duet. Behind the scenes, Kirill Pletnev and Nino Ninidze are also constantly positive and on the move: either on set or at festivals. Kirill and Nino also came to the last "Kinotavr" together, leaving their one and a half-year-old son Sasha at home - they presented the already mentioned musical melodrama "Burn!" - Kirill's first big movie. The story of a prison warden who suddenly sang won a prize at the festival. The performer won in the nomination "Best Actress" starring- actress Inga Oboldina.

Kirill went to the first big movie for a long time, before that, in 2012, having shot the short film "Incident", and then 5 more films in the format of a short meter.

At the age of 16, I entered the theater director, but because of my age I was not hired. And rightly so: at this time you have nothing to say, if you are not some Xavier Dolan, who already at the age of 20 received his first prize in Cannes. And I went to acting, and at 32 I decided to return to my once postponed dream. I have always loved to write, so I graduated from the scriptwriting and directing courses at VGIK,

He tells during our interview. Sitting next to Nino, by the way, also studied at VGIK - she graduated from the acting department. But they did not meet during their studies.

Kirill and I first met ... in Vladivostok three years ago. I and my mother (actress Iya Ninidze. - Ed.) Went there on the "VGIK 95 Film Train" - it was a trip famous actors and students throughout the country with stops in different cities, master classes and concerts. Just at the concert in Vladivostok, Kirill was the presenter, my mother and I performed there. We quickly became friends. But there was no particular sympathy on my part then.

And after this trip I immediately realized that I liked Nino. And on the very first evening after returning to Moscow he called her. Then there were meetings, and closer communication, and already living together... The most interesting thing: it turned out that we live ten minutes walk from each other. And we met at Far East, nine thousand kilometers from Moscow.

A year and a half ago, your son Alexander was born - the first child for Nino and the third for you, Kirill. Be father of many children turned out to be more difficult?

There are two factors here. The first is the woman who is next to you at this moment. Nino somehow very correctly allocated our time: at night I did not get up to the crying child, there were no offenses ...

Because this is logical: an infant needs a mother at night, and during the day, there may be a father. So I organized everything in such a way that there was simply no need to shout: "You are resting here, and I! .."

Age turned out to be the second factor for me. If in my youth - and my first child appeared at the age of 28 - small children seemed to me something like a duty, now I am extremely interested and want to communicate with my son.

It seems to me that the birth of Sanya helped Kirill to understand a lot in relations with his eldest sons, Gosha and Fedya. Each of these boys is unique, each has its own mother. I would like to emphasize the latter: it is often written on the Internet that Kirill's older children are from the same woman, but this is not so. And all these children get along well with each other, they love to come to visit us. Looking at them, you understand that they are brothers.

Separately, I note that the main merit in creating such a friendly family belongs to Nino. It was she who gathered everyone and established all the contacts.

Nino also supports you in your work: two years ago you were together at the "Kinotavr", and your short film "Nastya" then took the main prize. After that, in an interview, you said that the presence of your beloved next to you brought good luck. This time Nino was also with you at the festival ...

And Inga Oboldina took the award, yes! (Smiles.) It's funny, of course, that even after the first victory, everyone started writing about the fact that Nino is my talisman. I don't know, in fact, I just love her very much. And I know for sure: Nino has a well-developed intuition, sometimes she practically foresees events. That is why at the last "Kinotavr" I did not ask what she thinks about the chances of "Burn!" It was too exciting.

Scenario "Burn!" you wrote it yourself, and the plot in this movie is quite original: a warden from a women's colony goes to musical competition... How did it come about?

I've heard that screenwriters and writers used to take their stories from newspapers in the past. Everything happened the same for me, but adjusted for progress: I found my story in the top of Yandex news. I saw the story that the prison warden Sam Bailey became the winner of the British show The X Factor, an analogue of the "Voice" competition. To me this contrast - a warden, and suddenly on a music show - seemed very interesting. I pushed away from him, and then I told my story.

Did you immediately know who you want to take on the leading roles?

From the very beginning I imagined Inga Oboldina as the main character. And with the second part of the duet - an imprisoned colony, which prepares the warden for the competition, it turned out to be more difficult, a casting was held. It was necessary to accurately fit into the image. V acting it is important, as they say, to find your charm. It is the charm and energy that teachers look at when entering the theater. The rest can be taught. Vika Isakova, who got the role of a prisoner, had the charm I needed, negative. She's not at all a gentle lyric girl. Think about it: her heroine was not just in the colony - she killed her husband, crossed a certain line. I needed this breakdown in the actress, which cannot be played. In Vika he is.

Both in "Burn!" And in your short meters "Nastya" and "Mom" the main characters are women. Why not men?

Cyril simply understands women better than other men - it has been proven personal experience... (Smiles.)

I am deeply convinced that inside every person, regardless of gender, there is both a masculine and a feminine principle. I've always had a lot of femininity in me, and it's more interesting for me to shoot about women. Maybe because my mother and aunt raised me. Or I just feel the world more subtly than other men. Probably, I do not even have enough callousness and it would be easier to live with a solid "armor". But that's life. In art, the opposite is true: it is important to be more receptive.

The acting profession is generally female, because it is based on the desire to be liked. But in the same way, directors want to be recognized and treated kindly. To say the opposite is flirtatious. We all work for the applause. Therefore, the artists go to act for free. Not for the sake of a large fee, which sometimes, I will not hide, is also important, but for the sake of an interesting role that will open you up to the public in a new way.

You have made several films already, but Nino has not appeared in any of them.

Right now I have a casting for new project, and Nino tries there on a par with everyone else. For us, this is somewhat of a test, because we are not one of those people who are ready to make films " family contract". If the ensemble is formed, it will get into the image, we will work together. Nino is a wonderful actress, and I really want her to act more.

And I just want all of Kirill's projects to succeed - regardless of whether I'm in them or not. You can't break each other for the sake of vanity. There should be a wiser approach than throwing a fit: "Take me off, or I'll leave!"

Doesn't your creative ambition get in the way of your relationship?

They get up, of course, it's silly to pretend that there are no disagreements. But that's what we and the family are for, to raise these issues and move ambitions from the first plan to the second or third. Kirill and I talk about everything. Sometimes it's worth keeping silent. But we still talk. (Smiles.)

I do not believe in these tales about "people meet - and as if they were together all their life." This is nonsense - everyone has their own character, you rub against each other gradually, not without mistakes. But at the same time, above all problems, there remains what holds you together. Feeling of something more. And I realized this only after meeting with Nino.

Kirill, is it worth expecting that in the future you will finally move to the director's chair?

Once in an interview, Rolan Bykov was asked: "Who are you by profession - an actor, a director?" And he replied: "Were in Ancient Rus storytellers who lived off stories. I am such a storyteller. "I am also a storyteller by nature, I like to create stories - in any role and in any space. Now I am making edits to the script of a new project: it will be a road movie, again about women. another dream of mine: to stage a play based on Ken Kesey's novel “One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.” As you can see, the themes of prison, clinic and non-freedom do not let me go.

Nino Mikhailovna Ninidze. Born on July 13, 1991 in Tbilisi. Russian theater and film actress.

Mother -, Georgian and russian actress theater and cinema, Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR, People's Artist of Georgia (1995), known for the film "Heavenly Swallows".

Father - Mikhail Buchenkov, artist, third husband of Iya Ninidze.

Mother's brother - Georgy (from Iya Ninidze's second marriage with actor Sergei Maksachev), he is six years older than Nino.

Nino's father left his family in the early 1990s when the war broke out in Georgia and emigrated to the United States.

Mother had to take care of Nino and her brother Georgy alone. Nino recalled that difficult period: "There was no light, hot water, and cold was served occasionally. I found out what batteries are only when we moved to Moscow, and by that time I was already five years old. We had no heating in Georgia. And the winters were cold, the frost penetrated to the bone. We slept dressed on the same bed, huddled together - me, my mother and my older brother George. "

She says about her mother that she is a "great woman" and that her example is always in front of her eyes. Since childhood, Nino wanted to be like her.

Also with early years she is very close to her brother: "there has never been a better brother," she said of him.

When her mother was offered to work in the troupe of the Moscow theater "The Bat", the family moved to Moscow. In the Russian capital, Nino first went to study in a Georgian school, but then - in order to better get used to and learn the language - asked to be transferred to a Russian school.

In childhood, she wanted to be both a ballerina and a singer, and even an artist - her father's abilities for painting were passed on. But closer to graduation, she firmly decided that she would follow in her mother's footsteps and become an actress.

She refused to help her mother when entering the theater - she decided to pave the way for herself. “It was very important for me to walk this path on my own, to defend my choice,” Nino noted.

In 2012 she graduated from the acting department of VGIK, workshop of A.Ya. Mikhailova.

She made her film debut in 2010, starring in the film "Once Upon a Time in the Police".

A breakthrough for her was 2011, when the actress starred in two films at once - "Duel" (Tanya) and "And there was no better brother" (Dilber). By the way, her mother also starred in the last tape, who played the heroine of Nino in adulthood.

For her role in Murat Ibragimbekov's film "And there was no better brother" she won the Best Debut Award at the Kinoshock Film Festival (2011) and the East and West. Classics and Avant-garde "(2011) for Best Actress.

Then he approved the actress for the role of Julia in war drama"Quiet Outpost". The actress recalled: "Sergei, seeing me, prescribed an image specifically for my appearance - Yulenka has light brown hair and green eyes. shooting "Quiet Zastava", and Makhovikov was speechless: only green eyes were left of the image he had invented. They began to think what to do with my hair - whether to repaint or wear a wig, but then they decided that I would be filming in a scarf. So my heroine does not take off her kerchief throughout the film. "

In the film "Silent Outpost" the actress also sang the vocal part.

Among other notable works - the role of Nana in the melodrama "You will have a child", Nino in the serial stunt melodrama "The Stuntman", Manana in the detective story "Climbing Olympus".

Personal life of Nino Ninidze:

Since the fall of 2014, she has been in a relationship with the actor. They met thanks to the organizer of an unusual project - the film train "VGIK-95". In 2014, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the famous film school, a train set off from Moscow to Vladivostok star actors... During stops in large cities they arranged bright holidays for local residents... Among the stars invited to the trip were Iya Ninidze with his daughter Nino and Kirill Pletnev. Nino and Kirill returned to Moscow as a couple and immediately began to live together.

"Nino has always been prima, and will remain so ...". These words belong to Kirill Ivanov, the former coach of the Russian national bullet shooting team. It's hard to disagree with him.

Salukvadze is the only Georgian athlete who has won Olympic medals of all merits. In Seoul (1988), she won gold in the 25-meter sports pistol and silver in the air pistol at a distance of 10 meters. After 20 years in Beijing, Salukvadze replenished the set of Olympic awards with bronze in pneumatics.

All her life Salukvadze trained under the guidance of her father, Vakhtang Salukvadze, who was able to discern talent in his daughter and bring it to perfection. In the late 80s - early 90s, this tandem had no equal in the world. This is evidenced by six World Championship titles and four gold medals at the European Championships. There is even no need to talk about the prize places at these tournaments.

But that is not all. The son of Nino Salukvadze, Tsotne Machavariani, qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio. And this will be the first time in the history of the Olympic Games when a son and a mother will perform at the same Games. Moreover, in one sport!

Before we begin, let me sincerely congratulate you on the fact that your son Tsotne Machavariani also won his OI license in Rio.

- Thanks a lot! In fact, no one expected this to happen. We put it among adults, and this is already a sign that somewhere in the depths of our souls, albeit a small one, there was a glimmer of hope. I gave only 30% for a successful outcome.

This is already the eighth Olympiad for you, and it makes no sense to ask about responsibility. But these are your first Games, to which you ride with your son. Given this very circumstance, will the Rio Games be special?

- Naturally, they will be different from everyone else. Together with my dad, we passed on all the accumulated experience to our athletes and now we will do it with renewed vigor. In this case, it doesn't matter whether it will be my son or someone else. The main thing for me is that some of our athletes show an acceptable result in domestic competitions. Then I take them under my care and follow them like my chickens, like my family.

And I claim that in training, at the shooting range - a son, daughter, relative, mom, dad, there is no such thing. There is an athlete and a coach - that's all. At home - please, and this is work. Yes, I am very glad that after the collapse of the USSR, for the first time someone other than me took an Olympic license in shooting. A young athlete, and besides, my son. This is a bonus.

- Why was there such a failure?

- Because there were no conditions. There was no and no. Olympic Games, World Championships, European Championships - all competitions of this level are held on an open shooting range, in natural light. And we do not have an elementary open shooting gallery. Closed, yes - but only five installations.

We still shoot at paper targets, like before our era. And everyone is already shooting on the computer and looking at the results on the monitor. We have redesigned the 25-meter shooting range here. We took traffic lights, adapted the old technique and equipment, shoot at the paper and look through the optics where we hit. This is not the case. I'm not even talking about an open shooting range. Therefore, we often have to travel outside Georgia for training camps.

- That is, funding is at a low level?

- Funding? Yes, for me - Nino Salukvadze - the government did everything. We always went where and when necessary. But I don't want to ride alone. We need to develop sports, we need to think about young athletes. Therefore, quite often I refuse to travel to certain competitions in order to use these funds for the development of young people.

And most importantly, there are already results. Last year, our young guys took the third team place at the European Championship, before that one girl got to the European Championship for the first time, another was fourth in the World and fifth in Europe. This is already an achievement.

In order for the team to have such indicators, something has to be sacrificed. Because without the fees, there will be no results. I watch them here on the spot and if I see that the result is already fixed, I take them to the training camp. Because it is at the training camp that you see the full picture and understand what this or that athlete is.

- Do you identify talented and capable people?

- Oh sure. And then the skills are sharpened.

- Is it pointless to ask men about a shooting range for 50 meters?

- In principle, yes, because we simply do not have opportunities. Despite this, my son made it to the final of the European Championship last year and finished in fifth place. This is a paradox.

- Maybe genetics?

- Genetics and talent alone will not go far without work. Then you can forget about them. Now any sport has begun to develop in such a way that talent alone is not enough to achieve the goal.

At the upcoming Olympic Games, you will again have to face Yasna Shikarich. Do you continue to compete in absentia with her at the Olympic Games and at other tournaments?

- You know, we have known each other for so many years that there are no rivals outside the range. There are only girlfriends and friends. We try to help and support each other whenever possible. Last year, Bulgarian athletes came to our training camp. Yes, we are competitors for each other in competitions, but outside - we have to help each other. It is in the blood of both my dad and me. This is how we were brought up.

- You are already going to the eighth Games. Could the Olympics become an ordinary event at such a frequency?

- There is such a large interval between Olympic Games that these competitions cannot even have analogues. Each Olympiad is individual and unique. And no experience will help you with this. You prepare for each game from scratch and open a blank page.

None of the competitions can be similar to others, especially the Olympic Games. And they cannot be called "next" in any way. All athletes even dream of participating in the Games. For me personally, this is a great holiday and a great event.

- Where did you get your license for the Rio Games?

- At the European Championships in Maribor, where I took fourth place. It was very difficult for me. Only two tickets were played there. From the eight I had to go to the semifinals and then the final. Four already had a license, and four did not. But at that moment I did not know it. The main thing for me is to shoot well myself, and not to look at the result of my opponents. Having reached the final, where four athletes competed, I automatically received a license, because two had it, and two did not.

At the Games in London, you were the standard-bearer of the Georgian national team. There is an unspoken rule that athletes who will be competing in the coming days after the opening ceremony, or for those athletes who use their hands, it is not recommended. Did it bother you?

- If you looked closely, then I carried the flag in my left hand. So it didn't hurt. But in fact, it is a very great honor, so I could not refuse. Although I performed in a day.

It should be noted that in London the organization was at the highest level. We did not stand at the opening for long, as usual for 4-6 hours. I went through seven OIs and only three times attended the opening ceremony. We passed only half of the stadium and then they took this flag. By the way, he was very light, and not heavy, as usual.

- Will explain. The fact is that China and India were late in joining the Olympic movement. At the same time, they are progressing rapidly, as they pay great attention and importance healthy way life.

In India, in general, the first Olympic champion was on rifle shooting. This happened in Beijing. After this success in India, shooting has become almost a national sport.

Because sport is one of the ways to introduce the world to your culture. When your flag is still being raised. Isn't this the most important thing for any athlete? All politicians will not be known, but good athletes will be known by everyone everywhere.

The Olympic Games and the Olympic Movement are some of the most peaceful events in the world. Therefore, it is very difficult to digest and comprehend when the war broke out in 2008 during the Games in Beijing. Even before our era, all wars were stopped during the Olympics. Even when the countries were not of that level, they thought of this before. What happened with us? Where is our level of development?

What you did at the awards ceremony deserves true admiration. (Salukvadze hugged Natalia Paderina from Russia, who took second place, showing the whole world that real sport, sport of strong spirit, is out of politics - ed.). The then President of the IOC, Jacques Rogge, even said: "This is the true manifestation of the Olympic spirit in its essence."

- Well, what should I have done? Natalia and I have been friends for many years. And we continue. I repeat once again - no one wants war. Nobody needs her. And what politicians have stirred up, let them sort it out among themselves. Ordinary people always suffer.

War is the same trade, only with weapons. Therefore, I will not get involved in this kind of adventure.

After all, you were one of those who protested against leaving the OI in Beijing?

- Who would benefit from it? I then said - if you decide that you need to leave the Olympic Games, then I will not be a "black sheep" and will be with the team. But this decision would be wrong. It's good that you decided to stay.

- Can you name three main qualities a shooter needs?

- Firstly, it is resilience in psychology. Hard work and concentration. Uznadze's theory has a huge impact on our sport. When you think about something, then the organism, whether you want it or not, it materializes.

To think correctly, to think correctly, to tune in correctly, to conduct the competition correctly - that is what is most important. Because I can deliver the equipment to you in half an hour. You can master it very easily and quickly. But then comes the moment of psychological struggle.

How do arrows relieve stress? Indeed, compared to other sports, the adrenaline rush in shooting is invisible to fans. No one shouts, no one does somersaults - on the shooting range everything happens very measuredly, even when someone wins.

- Agree. Our tension is not visible from the outside - everything is inside us. Let's say a runner. He has one start and one finish. We have the same - 60 starts and the same number of finishes. For us, each shot is like a separate start and finish. And it is very difficult to maintain one attitude throughout the entire distance. Impossible in fact. This requires inhuman resources. This is what you need to learn and train. Added to all this is an elementary tremor.

Does the mandrage appear at the moment when the athlete already feels the closeness of victory, or at some other moment?

- If you count your glasses, then that's when you start to worry. For example, I don't. The computer thinks for me. I just look at the result of each individual shot.

If everything went well with you from the very beginning, then I will repeat once again - you need to be able to maintain this attitude. And vice versa, if you did not work out right from the very start, then you need to rebuild. This is the hardest part of our sport.

© photo: Sputnik / Levan Avlabreli

- It turns out that the shooters are much harder than, say, sprinters?

- Yes. You noticed correctly. In many other sports, you can get angry and then start attacking more actively (if it's a fight) or hitting the ball harder (say, if it's football). There is a strong surge of emotions and adrenaline. And we have the opposite. In no case should you be angry. On the contrary, you need to calm down. If you've fired a bad shot, then you simply have no right to panic. And, of course, this is not visible from the outside. But what is going on inside - you just have no idea. In addition, you need to calm down in a very short period of time.

- Who is involved in your psychological preparation? Your father?

- Both my father and psychologists, and I myself devote a lot of time to this. I have worked with many psychologists, including sports. Psychology is generally a very delicate job. It may seem like a very easy task, but it is not. Each athlete is individual in each sport. And you, as a specialist, must know the psychology of this sport and each athlete and appropriately choose the right words, specifically for this athlete and specific circumstances. Sometimes you can slap a person and help with this, and sometimes a kind word is enough. It all depends on the situation. But whoever helps you, you, first of all, learn to fight with yourself.

Have you noticed how non-Asian coaches worry about their players? They shout, express emotions, run along the edge ... And compare them with Asian mentors. They are calmness itself. And as you can see, this calmness justifies itself.

© photo: Sputnik / Levan Avlabreli

- In your sport, only psychology is important, or physical training does it matter too?

- Has and some other. First of all, endurance is important. We just need it. We devote time to physical training every day. Every day. This is a barbell, and running, and swimming. Without this, the shooter simply cannot acquire the necessary endurance and endurance. During the competition, the heart rate reaches 170-200 beats. It is impossible to bear it if the heart is not ready and is not accustomed to such loads. The athlete will not stand up to the competition.

You take a pistol, stand on the line and shoot - it's not like that. When is this entertainment - then please, and when it comes about professional sports - here is a completely different approach.

- Despite the fact that you are also a sports functionary - do you manage to find time for training?

- They help. I would like to have time to work in the Olympic Committee. Do you know how it was with me? After giving birth, I left the children to my mother, and I was always overcome by the feeling that I was missing them. This is the same feeling in the NOC of Georgia (laughs). I have a feeling that I do not spend enough time there and do not have time to do much of what is needed.

T. Kulumbegashvili

- How much time do you devote to training per day?

- We have a system. Exercising every day is also not entirely correct.

- What kind of system, if not a secret?

- Yes, there is no secret here. You can't just train all the time. You need to pay attention to rest, so that these training sessions are beneficial. And then in a month you will be bent and you will only be treated. Therefore, the ideal option is three days of training and one day of rest. Because of this, we don't have Saturdays and Sundays. Everything is going according to the schedule and plan.

- How long does a workout usually last?

- It depends on what kind of training. If it is 10 meters (pneumatics) - then three hours, with all the elements is quite enough. And if 25 meters - then four hours.

- Is that enough for you?

- You have repeatedly stated that you love 25 meters more than 10. Why?

- Probably because it is still a small-caliber firearms... I feel it better. There is both slow and fast shooting. And 10 meters is only slow. That's just Shikarich loves pneumatics more. Therefore, in the final of the Seoul Olympics, I was not afraid of anyone, and she, too.

- Do you have an individual weapon?

- Oh sure. Athletes who are above the average level and who have some results, all already have individual weapons. Individual grip to fit the athlete's hand.

"Do you only have one pistol?"

- No, several. Because whatever one may say, it is a mechanism that tends to break. How many times have my weapons spoiled in competitions. In Beijing, a pistol broke during test shooting. After slow shooting, I had a second or third result. And on the rapid fire, the rear sight came off altogether, and the weapon was out of order. I don’t know how it happened, because I didn’t leave my weapon for a second. It was with me all the time. The first five test shots are three seconds and then you rest for seven seconds. During these seven seconds I managed to insert the rear sight and somehow finished shooting up to the eight. I still can't explain what happened. And I had a lot of such cases.

A similar case happened at the European Championships. After slow firing, my trigger broke. How the trigger can break is hard to imagine, but nonetheless. They did not have time to change. They found someone's pistol, they gave it to me. The main thing is the same brand. The handle is not mine, it lies badly in the hand. But nothing - shot back and won that tournament. Only later did I find out that the pistol belonged to one of the men of the USSR national team. What to do - anything happens (laughs).

- Philistine question - have they ever shot from sniper rifle?

- No. From the machine gun it was necessary, from the "Makarov", from other pistols too, but from the sniper one did not. But she shot from optics - at the "running boar". This is a very interesting exercise that was removed from the OI program and therefore very little attention is paid to this discipline. In my opinion, it was the most interesting and spectacular view.

- How much different sensations when you see the target through the front sight and through the optics?

- These are completely different things. But optics has a completely different purpose. In general, I look at weapons exclusively as sports equipment. And nothing else.

- Weren't you hunting?

- No and not gonna. I can never shoot a beast. Repeatedly offered and called, but it is useless.

- Did you train with the iron?

- No, these are the inventions of journalists. Why do I need an iron when there were weapons at home (laughs). Dad has been shooting all his life. At the age of 27, he started shooting sports. He won the USSR championships, "sports days", but did not take further.

- But he brought up an excellent athlete.

- He says: "It's good that they didn't take it, otherwise you wouldn't be there."

- How did your acquaintance with shooting come about? Is this the dad's merit?

“He didn't want me to be shooting. I was physically very weak. Dad didn't think I could pull it. Back at school, I played basketball for four years and was even the city champion among schoolchildren. I remember that my first photo in the newspaper was associated with basketball. But then it happened that I left basketball, music and dancing. I hated making music (laughs). I love music very much, but thank you for studying. I can't, and not mine (laughs).

It so happened that for some time I did not go anywhere. Then my mother told my father: "She has a lot of free time, all the time in the yard - take her with you" - at school I studied very well and quickly coped with the lessons. Yes, and the courtyards used to be different - there was no danger.

So it was my mom who insisted (smiles). At first I really didn't want to walk, because after basketball - game view sports where both fun and entertainment, shooting is something completely different. You have to stand at the border calmly, you can't talk, you can't laugh too. After training, please do what you want. But during it you have to be very calm. It was hard and unusual for me. Moreover, we - southerners, with our temperament (laughs).

And yet you stayed?

- Yes. It turned out that two years later I won the schoolchildren's "sports day" and off we go. Because of this, I could not pass the exams in either the eighth or tenth grade.

Then she entered a physical education institute, although she was preparing for something completely different. I have always loved anatomy and biology. Just thought that good specialist it may not work out of me, because I will be on the road all the time, and so I will study according to the profile.

Although, if you really do physical culture, then you can learn a lot here. Psychology, pedagogy, physiology, anatomy, biomechanics are taught very good level and all this is very beneficial for the athlete. Every coach should know this.

- How did Tsotne end up in sports?

- Oh, Tsotne! This is also a difficult question (smiles). My husband is a former rugby player Gocha Machavariani. I also really love rugby, because it is very manly look sports. Moreover, when you know the rules and specifics, it is very interesting to watch. In addition, I have not yet met a single rugby player who was a bad person.

Therefore, when the boy was born, my husband really wanted Tsotne to also go in for rugby. And he went to rugby for four years. He had many injuries, and in the end he received such an injury that remains felt to this day. But Tsotne also went to the shooting gallery in parallel. True, at first he was not serious about shooting, so to speak. And when he had already stopped playing rugby, he began to appear in the shooting range more and more often.

Once I took him to a competition in Kutaisi. He showed a good result - not typical for him. Then there were the next competitions, and he gradually got a taste. I won there, I won here. Then they took to the training camp, and was already seriously involved in shooting. As a result, for three years of training - an OI license.

- At the shooting range and at the shooting range you are calm, and what kind of home are you?

- My husband is very noisy and temperamental. And I'm balancing it (laughs). Although, in fact, I am very emotional, very. I just don't always show it, but I feel everything, I understand everything, I worry. I can’t calmly watch films where children are mistreated - I can’t hold back my tears.

Of course, every sport fosters character and influences its formation. But not to that extent.

- Do you have a clear distinction, sport is work, but you "close" the door and become just Nino?

- Oh sure. At home I am a wife, mother, daughter and daughter-in-law. The mother-in-law lives with us and does not want to leave us anywhere. Ask her yourself if you want (laughs).

I feel great respect and love from people and colleagues. This is the most important thing.

In an interview before the Olympic Games in Atlanta, you said that the most important thing for you is self-realization. After 20 years, can you say that you are fully self-realized or is there still something to strive for?

- They say - the eighth Olympiad, etc. But for me, quality is more important than quantity. Like, say, Viktor Saneev - three gold and one silver. Although at the Olympic Games in Moscow there was also gold, although officially it is silver.

After 89, we have passed such a time that it is even surprising that we generally remained as athletes. And how were they able to survive in this country, and were able to save not only the athletes, but also the sport. This is already a paradox. That's what's offensive.

If we had at least half of the conditions that Seoul had, I think there would be more of these medals. It's just a shame.

When I was second in Atlanta, in the final, and there something happened to the computer, I still believe that it was so. I still ask God: "Why did you punish me like that? Because only you know how I prepared, how I came to these Olympic Games." In conditions worse than mine, probably, even in Somalia, no one trained.

But there was such a wave in the 90s. And it influenced both people and athletes - everyone.

- When the USSR collapsed and in the 90s, many athletes from the post-Soviet states changed their citizenship and began to compete for other countries. Have you been offered such a thing?

- They offered it and not only during these years. Since 85, there have been proposals - from South Africa to Switzerland. Offered. Promising, young - why not.

But my dad is very a wise man... He said: "I want to be happy in my homeland." And I always remember these words of him.

P.S. I always tell reporters - if you want to help us athletes, you must stop all interviews before the Olympics, so that we can properly prepare.

Because everyone always asks the same question - what do you expect from Olympic Games? For me, this is a stage already passed, but a young athlete does not always respond correctly to such questions.
