Depending on your knowledge of the language, you also select the level of the textbook. Levels are different and I have already recommended taking a test to determine your own.

Let's take whichever is simpler. Better to start with great books for children that are great for adults to read. From my own experience I will say: at the beginning of the book you will not understand even half of the words, by the middle - you will be able to guess by meaning what the phrases mean, and by the end of the book you will simply dissolve in it and perhaps even forget that you are reading in a foreign language.
