You remember famous expression: is he a teacher (doctor, cook, musician, etc.) - from God? What is it about? I think about purpose. Purpose is the tasks with which each of us comes into this world, supported by the talents given to us from birth. This is the answer to the question “why? (I'm here)".

Is it possible to limit this concept one global life goal? Hardly. Each soul has tasks of 3 directions:

  1. in relation to oneself (self-development, mental health, realization of potential),
  2. in relation to their relatives and friends (care for them, harmonization of relations, etc.),
  3. implemented for the benefit of other people, society or the surrounding world.

Purpose from the point of view of public benefit is the mission of man on earth. In the context of this article, we will first of all talk about it, because. this is what people often mean when they ask the question “how to find or realize your destiny?”. And this is quite understandable, because. way developed personality: from inside to outside. It is characteristic of an immature soul consumer behavior under the motto “everything is for me!”, a mature woman has a persistent need to create and give the fruits of her activity, to benefit others.

When does the realization of purpose come?

The ability to feel ourselves and our deepest aspirations is inherent in us from birth. Remember children - if you watch them, you will notice that everyone has their own interests, games and, in general, a way of knowing and interacting with the world. But in the process of education, the influence of society, the ideology adopted in society, for many, this ability is dulled. Fortunately, not everyone. If the child is not interfered with, but conditions are created, he develops in a direction that is interesting to him and knows how to make a dividing line between his own and the alien. He may not yet be familiar with the adult word "destiny", but he deeply feels the desires of his soul. And builds his life path according to them. This is the ideal option.

Next milestone in life - the choice of profession after graduation. Even if the child has been weaned from hearing himself, at this difficult moment his soul will be able to give call signs. Sensitivity and trust on the part of parents and teachers are needed. Do not push through the right solution, but to allow the teenager to look inside himself and find the right answer there. Ask the right questions for a three-dimensional presentation. Help with information if needed.

But more often in reality, one can observe such a situation - an adult in his 30s-40s, who has been living for many years with other people's goals and stereotypes imposed from outside - was educated where his parents were placed, worked for money or positions, surrounded himself with status things in order to be no worse than others - and then suddenly, in the middle of his life, the so-called. existential crisis under the question “why do I actually live?”. It seems that everything is there in the material plane, but it does not bring joy. An almost revolutionary situation is brewing, when it is no longer possible to live in the old way, but it is not known how to live in a new way. This is a good sign!

If a person does not save, does not turn back, from this point his inner maturation and return to himself will begin. A significant bonus of this process can be just the realization of one's own destiny, and then the ability to realize oneself in accordance with it. Yes, exactly in this sequence: spiritual and personal growth - the search for destiny - its awareness and self-realization. This path is the most difficult, but incredibly interesting!

How long does it take to find and realize your purpose?

It all depends on the degree of expression of the desire to find it and on how far a person has gone from himself. The longer you left, the longer the way back. Independent searches for a destination usually take months and years, with an assistant - faster.

From personal experience: it took me a total of about 6 years to finally understand my purpose and realize it in my professional activities.

On the example of my clients: the longest search experience took about 5 months of our active work in the coaching format.

Is the purpose related to professional activity?

Yes and no. If we leave out the tasks of the soul in relation to itself and the inner circle, as described above, and consider the purpose as a socially useful activity, it may not always be of a professional nature. For example, a woman is born to be a mother, more often a mother with many children. Or take care of homeless animals. Or do charity work, participate in volunteer projects. Other examples of such activities that benefit others, but are not related to the profession and the desire to earn income from it, can be cited. Why not? This is also the destiny of man, his mission on earth.

Are purpose and calling the same thing?

But the realization of the destination through professional activity is a vocation. The latter is a broader concept, since in addition to the mission it also relies on the talents, knowledge and skills of a person, as well as his ability to earn money on it. An important ingredient of the “vocation” cocktail is also passion – like love for work at the highest point of its manifestation. It has been noted that when we live in harmony with our soul, we are attracted by exactly what we came to this world for - this built-in magnet does not allow us to go astray. And talents and abilities are given to help us. Thus, the kneading of the concept of "vocation" includes:

  • purpose (mission);
  • interest, love for work, passion;
  • innate talents, abilities;
  • acquired knowledge, skills and abilities;
  • the demand for the results of human activity, the willingness of others to pay for them.

I repeat that without the main component - the purpose - engaging in an interesting business using one's abilities and the opportunity to earn money on it, will remain only a variant of work for oneself, based on a consumer position. There is no service here. As a rule, this does not bring deep satisfaction to a mature personality.

Purpose and calling by examples

Let's assume that our purpose is realized as "helping people become better". Further clarification is needed - in what exactly people should change with our help. Develop business qualities, become more merciful, improve health, improve appearance, etc.? Suppose we decide that our mission is to help people become healthier. What professional activity will help us realize this mission? Options: Specialist healthy lifestyle life, pharmacist, doctor, technologist Food Industry, sports trainer, nutritionist, etc. As we can see, there are quite a lot of spheres and areas and they are diverse. But then our task is to determine what exactly we want and can do. This will be our calling.

Can the purpose (mission) change or be revised during life?

I guess not. Forms of realization of the destination - yes, they can. Before we begin to create value for the world and give it away, we must receive ourselves - knowledge, skills, experience. Therefore, we often go our own way in an ornate way, through various formats of activity, but globally the goal does not change, although it is not always immediately realized.

For example, back in 2001, having worked for several years as a chief accountant, I really wanted to open my own recruitment agency at the call of my heart, but I had no experience in such a business. Created. As it turned out, it was too early - I clearly lacked knowledge of technologies in the HR sphere, but I could not study them, work as a hired chief accountant and at the same time develop my business. A year later, she closed it and continued to manage the accounting department, where, in addition to her main functions, she actively participated in hiring and registering employees, training subordinates, and voluntarily advised colleagues and acquaintances on where and what kind of work they should look for. At the same time I studied psychology (for myself, as it seemed to me) and the basics of personnel management. Another year has passed and I light hand his loved one I finally left accounting for business education and HR. As an employee. And she continued to advise and employ people - and in order to fulfill her official duties and as a favorite hobby. Until one day I realized that this was my calling)) And the experience as an HR specialist was needed as a foundation for my future activities. Back in 2001, without him, I tried writing, but it was still too early.

Another important conclusion follows from this: purpose is not an activity that you love and CAN do, but one that you CANNOT NOT do. Feel the difference? You do not need to persuade yourself, you just do it and that's it, with joy, at every opportunity, regardless of the weather, nature, dollar exchange rate, your professional status or the mood of the boss.

How to find or recognize your purpose?

First and the main condition is to really want to find it and be ready to accept it. Without conditions. If you set yourself up in advance that you may not like it or you won’t earn much on it, then it’s better not to start. Or it's too early. Remember about spiritual growth and personal maturity?

Second- develop the ability to hear and feel. Deep. Rational thinking can be useful, but it rarely gives correct answers to the existential questions of being, more often leads astray. Listen to your soul, inner voice, intuition, or whatever you personally call it. If they still have little confidence - double-check, do not rush. Spiritual or bodily practices, meditation, fasting and other tools that open access to the subconscious can help here.

Third follows from the conclusion made in the previous section. remember and analyze. What are you willing to do whenever possible, whether you are paid or not? Where does your deepest interest lie? You need to dig here.

Fourth- act. Think, observe, try options, try on yourself different kinds activities and, most importantly, ask questions. Himself, the Universe, God, higher mind who believes in what. When the question is clearly formulated, the answer will always come. Perhaps not immediately or not from the source we expect. It is important to be sensitive, tune in to listening.

If there are difficulties with this or you want to solve the problem faster, you can seek help from a career consultant or coach, soul specialist, psychologist and other specialists.

And the last How do you know that you have found your purpose? When it is IT, you will be overwhelmed with feelings and emotions. Laughter, tears, delight, a sense of relief - everyone has their own palette and temperature of experiences, but your reaction will undoubtedly be brighter than when you mentally sort through other options.

Prioritization. When it's not up to the destination

It also happens that a person has realized the purpose and even understood how he can realize it in professionally, but it is not yet possible to translate these conclusions into a practical plane. There are more important life tasks. For example, help and care is required for one of the weak relatives. Or the situation forces you to retire for a while in order to recover from professional burnout, to reboot. Or need to provide for survival required level income right now (not to be confused with the need to sacrifice some of the usual comfort - this is another, we are talking it's about survival). Etc. Yes, sometimes it's not the right time. But do not discard the idea of self-realization in accordance with your destiny at all, just move it to 2-3-5 place in the list of priorities. And wait for the right moment - it will definitely come if you have firmly decided for yourself to do what you came into this world for.

Is it possible to earn on purpose?

As we have already found out, the purpose is not always associated with professional activities, therefore, generating income may not be its goal. Here it is more appropriate to talk about calling. It is in the vocation that our greatest opportunities to earn money are buried. But the path of development in it is not fast, because the skill needs to be developed and polished. Therefore, it would be naive to count on high earnings in a short time. But in long term creative activity according to vocation, will bring the maximum income - in this market, in comparable conditions, in comparison with colleagues or competitors. After all, money is the equivalent of the energy expended and the value that we give to the world. Therefore, when the matter is chosen by the soul and benefits others, our return is maximum.

I think each of us can remember a familiar hairdresser, car mechanic, dressmaker, dentist or lawyer, whose services are much more in demand than his many colleagues. He was once recommended to us and we, in turn, pass on his contacts to our friends with the most flattering reviews. We see and understand: a specialist in his place! Do you think this place provides him with an inexhaustible stream of customers and a regular income? ;)

But the whole point is that money for such an enthusiastic pro is secondary. Remember how they say in such cases: I do what I love, but I still get paid for it? As clients, we always feel what a specialist does his job for. And if the idea is put at the forefront, and not the fee, it is doubly pleasant and money is not a pity.

I remember an example from my youth. My classmate had gorgeous hair - long, thick, lush, wavy. Once she decided to cut her hair under the caret, although we dissuaded her. Went to a famous hairdresser. When she returned, she said: she came to the salon, sat down in a chair, he gathered her hair with his hands, shook it, it scattered over her shoulders ... He thoughtfully looked, and then softly said: girl, go, I won’t cut you. And she left, in her original form and in bewilderment ... And the next time I thanked him mentally. We gave him a standing ovation. This is called skill. Work for the best result, even if it is not associated with income here and now. Believe me, he did not lose in money, because. after that incident, a line of us lined up for him)) Although he had not been idle before.

I repeat: not immediately, having embarked on the path of self-realization, you can count on high income. It takes patience, development and time. But the sooner you realize your destiny and begin to follow it, the faster you will hone your skills and learn to get great satisfaction from the lesson itself, and then a worthy one will come. cash reward. The road will be mastered by the walking one!

Good luck with your search!

Do you have a purpose, a mission on Earth, for the fulfillment of which you were born, brought up and doing what you were doing? Does a person have any choice, what should he do in life, or in fact, somewhere in the depths of us everything is tough fixed, and you just need to find it?

If we put aside all religious and mystical prejudices about a predetermined fate, about karma, and look at this problem from the other side and more mundane, for example, from the point of view of what is happening now in our country and in the world, as well as life experience many successful people, then the following will be obvious: a person cannot find any inner peace and success in society until he finds in life that activity that really arouses passion in him, that area of life that inspires him to accomplishments, allows him not to be afraid of problems, but only to deepen one's skill, experiencing happiness in difficulties.

No one will argue that each person is absolutely unique and no two identical people can be found. But not everyone understands that it is this uniqueness that is core value any person for himself, society, humanity and the whole universe in general.

The uniqueness of a person does not begin at the level of his body or emotions, not at the level of desires, and not even at the level of his destiny. The uniqueness of each person lies much deeper - this is his soul level living in the universe for billions of years, that is, the most intimate and expensive that we have in principle.

Cause of crises in our society

The world is arranged in such a way that only those who give themselves to the world more than consume from outside survive and live happily, only those who successfully expresses its uniqueness in the world. Therefore, it seems quite obvious that the cause of today's world economic and worldview crises is that the main motivation of a person is not return, but consumption.

Why is that? Each person is a “semiconductor” of the divine will, each of us receives from God (from the world, the universe, from within himself) exactly as much energy as he is ready to master - to transfer further along the chain. Energy flows through each of us like a river: littered with stones, it dries up, and a person gradually dies; if the path for water is clear and a person expresses himself, he becomes happy and lives long, being a good guide divine power from within yourself to the outside.

Why is our society in a consumption crisis? Just because people are not trained with childhood and from school determine their innate predispositions, unique character traits and learn to follow them, despite the external resistance that will always exist, such is the nature of our society (see).

If a person does not have high awareness from birth, does not have a high energy potential, then he most likely will not be able to “find his destiny” on his own, blindly through trial and error. Although it cannot be ruled out that God is good, and perhaps a person will find himself "accidentally".

Stages of growing up

Usually, in order for a person to reach a stage in his awareness when he is seriously concerned with the question “ Who am I?”(which means that he can get a real answer to it), he must have received a very impressive life experience. Below is a brief list of tasks that a person solves on his way to reach the described stage. Although they are very individual for everyone, we will try to highlight a certain outline of a person’s movement along the spiritual path:

  1. First we need elementary grow up.
  2. You have to go through quite a lot of deep and unpleasant emotional states to learn how to let them go, and then, to get rid of all the negative programs, attitudes and thought patterns that we have absorbed from our parents, school and the surrounding society.
  3. We're going through the stage social adaptation already in a more mature form, as our thinking becomes more structured, we develop our character through some kind of activity, we learn to achieve success, to speak " I can do it".
  4. Our thinking becomes even more structured, in society we become freer from its ordinary stereotypes, and then we strive to subordinate our lives to some clear idea, which was the quintessence of all our life experience. We happily go to bright future.
  5. When fanaticism gives us enough bumps, and the idea of a brighter future becomes too narrow, we expand our world. to other people's world, we reveal ourselves to them, we strive to understand and see who lives how, in order to figure out why my "bright future" does not work.
  6. Seeing the lives of others, we begin to try to understand for ourselves, "How do I live? Who am I? what is my purpose?", we delve into our personal projects and try to make sure that our internal aspirations correspond as much as possible to what we do in society. We ourselves form around ourselves the environment of people we need, in which we rotate, doing our job.
  7. And only at the moment when our inner becomes equal to the outer, when we realize our deepest value that guided us long time, and it stops "nibbling" us from the inside, we really relax, and we can try to touch the vision of "what is mine true purpose"- not in thoughts and not in words, but in deeds. Only then does clarity.

Every stage must be passed, fast or slow, there is no way to jump from one to the other.

There is also such a hierarchical interpretation that illustrates approximately the same thing in reverse order. It shows how everything else is formed from the destination.

  1. Our destiny, the task for life, given by us to ourselves even before birth.
  2. Values that illuminate our life path and are turning points on our path, concretize this destiny for us.
  3. The character traits that guide us in making certain decisions that are embodied in the events of our life stem from those deep values that guide us.
  4. Thinking patterns are formed from character traits.
  5. Thinking causes emotional states.
  6. Emotions are expressed in body sensations.
  7. Feelings of the body ultimately affect health, our appearance etc.

If after reading these diagrams you have some understanding of the where are you now, and the desire to move on, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the practices of analyzing your individuality.

The practice of personality analysis

Some of these ways of introspection can help you describe your character, some indicate your dominant thought patterns, some indicate your "emotional profile". Everyone is different, everyone is different, and everyone understands themselves in a unique way, so try several methods of analysis and something will definitely work for you.

In addition, one way complements the other well and expands your self-image. After all, no person fits into any system, and these systems rather serve as beacons and keys in order to ignite your own flame of awareness within you.

Preparation for practice

Preparing for practice comes down to unloading your mind from goals and problems hanging in the background by writing them down on a piece of paper:

  • Write out all your "I want" and "I don't want", in two columns.
  • Draw" camomile", where you are in the center, and the petals are the spheres of life. For each petal, put down in% the success of your functioning in this area. Write a plan for the next 5 years for all failed petals, what you need to implement to bring them to 100% For normal and good petals - also write down what to do so that everything continues to develop. You must be self-sufficient in this model - the petals must capture all levels (spirit, soul, body, society, etc.) And you must always leave place for new petals.
  • Analyze your personality using the S-Typology system.

Practice 1. Astrology

We have analyzed free astrological services currently available on the Internet. Using them, you can analytically describe yourself, your individuality, try to understand your life task, try to "erase" the found subconscious patterns of your behavior.

  • (very useful, even necessary materials)

Practice 2. Intuitive analysis

  • Books by Jin Shinoda Bolen "" and "" - it makes sense to read, understand which archetype you belong to, and "erase" dependence on it from yourself, or use it consciously and for its intended purpose.
  • Article by Steve Pavlin "How to find the meaning of life in about 20 minutes" - no comments, everything in the article.

Practice 3. Answering questions

Try to answer for yourself next questions and record your answers on paper. In the future, of course, they will change, but it is the current moment that is important for you, it is important to take a step expressed in your specific actions.

  1. Who am I? My life purpose, what does my soul want from me?
  2. What are my main predispositions, qualities of character?
  3. What do I love, what do I strive for, what does my heart desire?
  4. What do other people say, what do I bring to other people, what do they get in my society?
  5. What is my next goal? My action plan?
  6. What's stopping me the most right now from achieving what I want, my biggest failing moment as a person?
  7. What issues are most worrying me in life right now, where does my attention flow? Write them out.

Practice 4. Watching videos and meditating

On the video - realized people who have reached a high spiritual level (which was written above).

It is important here deeply, so as to catch what is being said between the lines. Make a meditation out of watching for yourself, where you turn off your analytical thinking for a while and will perceive energy and states. Before viewing, clearly set a task for yourself - define your main life purpose, its purpose.

Perhaps you are a nihilist and do not believe that there is a higher purpose, and life has no meaning for you. It does not matter. Just because you don't believe you have a purpose doesn't mean you won't find it, just as not believing in gravity will keep you from falling. Everything that unbelief leads to - the search for destination will take longer. If you are one of those people, just change the number "20" in the title of this blog post to "40" (or even "60" if you're that stubborn). Chances are, if you don't believe in destiny, you won't believe anything I say. But even if so, what are you risking by spending an hour on this? Yes, just in case.

Here is a story about Bruce Lee that served as the basis for this little exercise. The martial artist asked Bruce to teach him everything he knew about martial arts. Bruce showed him two glasses filled with water. “The first glass,” said Bruce, “is all you know about martial arts. The second glass is all I know about it. If you want to fill your glass with my knowledge, you must first get rid of yours."

If you want to find your true purpose in life, you must first clear your mind of all acquired purpose (including the thought that you don't have one at all).

So how do you know your higher purpose? There are many ways to do this, some of them quite complicated. Here is one of the most simple ways. The more you trust him, the more you believe that he will work, the faster this method will start working for you. However, if you have doubts, or you think that this is a completely stupid and pointless waste of time, this trick will still work as long as you apply it. Again, it just takes more time.

Here's what to do:

1.Take Blank sheet paper, or create a text document where you can type (I prefer the latter - it's faster).

2. Write a title: "What is my purpose in life?"

3. Write the answer (any answer) that comes to mind. It shouldn't be full offer. Enough short phrase.

4.Repeat step 3 until you write an answer that makes you cry. This is your purpose.

This is all. It doesn't matter if you are a consultant or an engineer or a bodybuilder. For some people, this approach is quite acceptable. To others, it will seem like complete nonsense. It usually takes 15-20 minutes to free the mind from the fuss and goals imposed by society. Wrong answers come from consciousness and from memory. But when the correct answer eventually appears, it will seem to you that it came from a completely different source.

Those who are used to living without thinking about the meaning of their existence will need more time to weed out incorrect answers, perhaps more than an hour. But if you persevere, after 100 or 200, maybe 500 responses, you will find an answer that stirs emotions - an answer that changes everything. This sounds very stupid to those who have never done it. Well, it may seem silly, but you should try it anyway.

When you start, some of the answers will be very similar. You can even start another list. You can switch to another, related topic and make 10-20 more answers on it. And this is good. You can write down any answers that come to your mind during the process.

At some point (usually after 50-100 responses), you'll want to quit. In this case, you will not see the result. You may want to think of an excuse to do something else. This is fine. Don't give in to that impulse and keep writing. The feeling of resistance will soon pass.

There may be a few responses that will cause a little rush of emotions, but will not make you cry. So it's a little different. Select them and move on - you can come back to them later and change something. Each of these answers is part of your purpose, but individually they are not a complete purpose. When you get answers of this kind, it means that you have hit the trail. Continue in the same spirit.

Make a list alone and without interruptions - this is important! If you are a nihilist, you can start with answers like "I have no purpose" or "Life is meaningless" and then remove them from the list. If you do this, then in time you will reach your goal.

I spent 25 minutes doing this exercise. Answer #106 turned out to be what I was looking for. The components of the final response emerged at steps 17, 39, and 53. Then all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. At 55-60 stages, I wanted to quit everything and do something else, expecting the experiment to fail. I was very annoyed and even angry. At answer 80, I took a two-minute break: closed my eyes, relaxed, put everything out of my head and focused on getting an answer. This technique proved to be very useful, because after the break, the answer I received became much clearer.

Here is my final answer: live consciously and fearlessly, find reciprocity in love and participation, inspire others and leave in peace.

When you find your own answer to why you came into this world, you will feel a response deep within. It will seem to you that these words fill you with energy - you will feel it every time you read them.

Finding your calling is easy. It is much harder to live each day in accordance with it and work on yourself until you begin to fulfill your destiny.

If you're going to ask why this trick works, wait until you've successfully completed it. When this happens, you yourself will receive the answer to this question. If you ask 10 people who have used this technique why it works, you will most likely get 10 different answers that go through their individual set of beliefs and contain their own representation of the truth.

Naturally, this trick won't work if you quit before you get the final result. I calculated that 80-90% of people are able to reach their goal in less than an hour. If you are completely established in your beliefs and resist the process, you may need 5 sets and 3 hours of time. However, I suspect that these people just quit halfway through (after the first 15 minutes) or didn't start at all. But if you enjoy reading this blog (and aren't going to unsubscribe just yet), it's doubtful that you'll be in this group.

Try it! At the very least, you will learn two things: either what your true purpose in life is, or that you should unsubscribe from this blog.
